Chapter 7 - The Temptation of Nyimas Randusewu

Darma's refusal of Nyimas Randusewu's offer even more challenged Nyimas Randu to tease him every time Darma took shelter under the mango tree near the big Kapok tree. At that time, Nyimas Randu appeared and again seduced Darma to become her husband. It doesn't matter; there are Iwan and Pitri. Nyimas Randu still appeared, even though only Darma was able to see her.

Like this afternoon, in the scorching heat of the rising trees, and when the sun was gone, Iwan and Pitri invited Darma to take shelter under the tree. The two of them had never felt the slightest strange aura while working in Harto's rice fields and always took shelter in the same place.

"Darma, come on, take a break. It's hot; drink it to feel good," said Iwan. Meanwhile, Pitri had already sat under a kapok tree flanked by a mango tree, which was quite lush on either side.

However, for some reason, they were more interested in sitting under the big mango tree than under the mango tree.

"Come on, I'm tired. Today is very hot."

Darma followed Iwan's steps, but when Iwan sat beside Pitri, he turned to the mango tree.

"Darme, please come here, sit with us," said Pitri, seeing Darma moving away from them.

"I feel enjoy here," said Darma, not wanting to make long excuses.

If Iwan and Pitri can still relax while sitting under the big randu, Unlike Darma, this time his seat felt uncomfortable, even though he had moved away from Nyimas' house. Since then, Nyimas Randu has been staring at him while playing with the ends of his hair and sitting on the ground with his right leg raised so that the clothes she is wearing are parted and her smooth thighs are exposed in front of Darma's eyes.

From time to time, Darma looked at Iwan and Pitri, who were chatting while enjoying the food and drinks they brought as provisions for working half a day in Harto's rice fields. There was no sign that Iwan and Pitri could see Nyimas Randu, who continued to move his hands gracefully while whispering an invitation that kept ringing in Darma's ear.

"Marry me, Darma ... please, be my satisfier."

That sentence sounded clear to Darma's ears, but for some reason, Iwan and Pitri, who were not far away from him, were not affected in the slightest. They looked engrossed in eating while choking, while Darma was gripped by an indescribable fear.

"Wan, I'm working again," said Darma, immediately standing up, leaving the big kapok tree where Nyimas sat right under him, leaning back and continuing to move sensually, showing off her smooth curves in front of Darma.

"Hei, we just taking a short break, Darma. Why are you rushing to work again? It really sucks," joked Iwan, to which Darma didn't respond at all.

It was better for Darma to be roasted by the hot sun than have goosebumps, realising that he was the only one who could see the appearance of Nyimas Randu that looked so real. Until noon, Darma no longer sat on the big kapok tree, although Iwan and Pitri again invited him to take shelter for a while when they were about to go home. Dharma clearly refused. He immediately rushed home with wide strides and hoped that Nyimas would not follow in his footsteps.

Every day the same thing kept repeating until Iwan and Pitri did not go to the fields and no one replaced them both. Darma also chose to leave himself. Darma no longer dares to work alone in Harto's rice fields since Nyimas Randu has been so diligent in appearing in front of Darma without missing a day.

Nyimas Randu always says seductive whispers that sound seductive. However, no matter how hard Nyimas Randu seduced him, Darma was strong in his stance. Darma never paid attention to Nyimas' persuasion.

"Mom, where is Dewan?" Darma asked when he had just come from the rice fields when the sun really showed its rays that seemed to be able to burn every enemy that opposed it.

"He hasn't come home yet. He asked for permission to play with his friends. Honey, why did you always look at behind you?"

Darma shuddered before sitting on the bed in front of their house. He grabbed a glass of water that Ajeng held out and downed it without any residue.

"I don't know, Beib. Nyimas Randu keeps appearing and asking me to be his slave," admitted Darma which made Ajeng frown.

"It means that since yesterday Nyimas Randu has continued to appear in front of you," guessed Ajeng and of course Darma nodded.

"I've heard that Nyimas Randu will never stop tempting the human that she chooses until her wish is achieved, Honey," Ajeng squeaked in a low voice, as if she was unwilling that her husband would be tempted by Nyimas Randu's persuasion.

"What did she say, Honey?"

"I don't know, she didn't say anything. She was silent, but my ears kept picking up on the words of invitation that she once said to me. Marry me, Darma... please be my satisfier." Darma glanced briefly at his wife's facial expression. Ajeng looked down, her fingers fiddling with the ends of the clothes she was wearing. Her heart felt pinched hearing her husband's confession.

"She fall in love with you, Honey. She wants you to be her husband."

"No, Honey, I didn't think of doubling you at all. I love you. Marrying her is the same as hurting your heart, even though later on our lives will surely be full of wealth. It is just... "

"Darma! you're poor, you're stylish! During the day, just hold hands like rich people. Wake up, Darma! Your life is hard, poor, destitute, and even sad. Ajeng, please enter the house! It's a shame if your neighbours see that you make out with him in front of the house," cursed Sumini.

"This is for you. That's from Mom Sari, Amir buys a new car. Mom Sari give it for you." Sumini give a black plastic bag in her hand to Ajeng.

"Look! Amir, your friend is already able to buy a car. How about you, Darma? You can't buy a car or a house, you are still like a hut that is about to collapse," continued Sumini, who was never satisfied with making various insults at Darma since the beginning of Ajeng's marriage until now.

"Thank you, Mom," said Ajeng. She accepts the plastic from Sumini's hand. As usual, she will not respond to the insults that often come out of Sumini's mouth.

Even if she answered and defended Darma, Sumini would be even more angry, so silence was the best way to ensure that Sumini would quickly go back and not continue to nag in front of them.

"Enter the house now! I am shame, you all are still poor, pretending to be romantic here. Don't do it again, Ajeng." Sumini rebuked with bulging eyes, forcing Ajeng to enter the house.

Ajeng does not want to make her mother even more angry, She chose to go into the house without saying anything. Sumini immediately went home, leaving Darma, who was still sitting on the bamboo bed with her head bowed.
