Chapter 8 - Episode 8

Episode 8

{Back to the Present Day}

"Am here to contest as a groom for Rodriguez's Daughter" I never knew when those words left my mouth.

"Are you really here for the ghost? Andrew flicked back in fear.

"Stop calling her a ghost, She is my Bride" I cautioned

"Am sorry but it too late, The portal is closed! The Man stated with his blank face

The smile on my face instantly disappeared.

"I guess you choose the wrong path" Andrew cracked like a maniac with his muffled voice.

Did I really choose the wrong path?

Many thought ran through my head, I was about to tear up some silly tears when the main door suddenly creak and open gently.

"Let him in" His soft voice ran through the hush atmosphere.

The unknown man vanished within a seconds.

The smile on my face was instantly awakened.

"Come in please" The man gestured with a warming smile

The white gate was widely open for our entrance.

"Woah, I can't believe we are really doing this" Andrew gasped as we set our feet into the house.

I ignored him completely.

"Who was that man that just sent me in? I whispered to the man

I could hardly catch a glimpse of his face but his appearance, dressing was quite different.

Even though he looks simple and dress the same way but the energy evoking around him was quite different and strong.

"Oh, you are talking about Mr Rodriguez? That sounded like a whisper.

"Wait, you didn't know him? He stopped his step and took a good look at my face

"N...I mean yes, But I just saw him once" I grinned.

He nodded slightly.

Setting my feet into the house, I was left in daze. The living room was extra large and quiet.

I never been into that kind of stunning house , Andrew must be surprised as well.

Still left in daze,

Another man in the same white and black attire suddenly appeared at the door.

"You should take care of him" The man turned to the second man who just appeared.

He was obviously talking about Andrew.

"Where are you taking him? I questioned.

"He will be staying at a different chamber since He is not a contester" He replied promptly.

"Does that means I won't be able to see him? I raised a brow.

"You are free to see him doing your leisure" He muttered while I nod at his words.

I gave Andrew a go ahead sign and watched him followed the other man towards the other path.

I followed the first man and walked through the silent hallway.

"Here is your room, The contest will begin in three days, Take time to prepare yourself" We finally took a halt at a door.

"What about Rodriguez's Daughter, Lily? I questioned

I was really so impatient to see her.

"No one can see her until the contest begins" He responded.

I couldn't say anything but just to give a nod lightly.

"Here, You should fill this and return it tomorrow" He passed a plain form which I gladly accept.

"An advice Mr...erm

"Mr George" I jolted in

"An advice Mr George? He corrected.

"Sure" I nodded with a soft smile.

"Why don't you quit and look for something else to do, This is more competitive than you can ever thought"

My smile started to fade away and was replaced with a frown.

Is it your work to make people give up? I shot him a deadly smile.

"Am sorry Mr white and black attire,

I didn't bother to ask about his name.

"But I don't listen to people advice" I blunt out.

"If I were you, I will rather take this man advice into use so you won't end up in regret" He deadpanned.

That sounded like some threat.

There was a silent moment between us, we never bother to break the deadly stare.

"I will see you later" I strode into my assigned room and slammed the door on his face.

"That's the best reply" I complimented my self letting out a soft sigh.

I admire the room and move round, It was well designed by obviously the best architect, The room backed the pool and with the transparent wall, it gives the best amazing view.

Clothes were strewn across a dresser and hanging out of half-open classic drawer. I pulled out one of the shirt checking out the brand name.

"LOUIS VUITTON! I gasped returning back the shirt.

I crouched down resting my chin on my knees and stared long straight into the space.

I thought this would be easy but remembering the Man's words suddenly brought some Fear.

it sound like some deadly game filled with a lot of regrets.

Should I just back out?

The soft knock on the door jolted me back to reality....
