Jack's Pov
I went inside to find Maureen still sitting looking thoughtful.
" What's going on Maureen? The baby ? " I asked her and she snap back to reality.
" No, i was thinking about han. " She said and I stare at her.
My phone rang preventing me to respond to her.
I picked up the call.
" Yes, you can. Be fast about it and no mistake " i said to logan and hang up.
" What's going on ? " Maureen ask standing immediately.
I stare at her and i notice she appear to be genuinely worried.
" Han was rescue but he is badly hurt. I told them to bring him here "
" Good " She said breathlessly and i got confused.
Normally i know we have the reason to get worried for han but Maureen's attitude which changes since she heard about Han being a stalker amaze me.
Laura walk in at that moment with some stuff.
" Doctor Sally is on her way " She said.
Maureen and I turn to her in surprise.
" How do you know we needed a doctor ? " I asked her softly and she stood still for a moment before smiling.
" Your voice was loud enough for me to hear from the outside " she said and i nodded.
" Did you call her already? You said she's on her way " Maureen asked.
" Yes, we have to be fast about it. We can't afford to loose the Young man... Right ? '' she asked and I nodded.
I turn and headed to my room.
I sat down on the bed tiredly and frown at my imagination.
Can Laura be trusted?
Is she the one who tried to abort Maureen's pregnancy?
How come does she know han was found injured . I asked myself
I shrugged, she must have heard by the doorway.
I told myself, trying not to see the truth.
I held my cellphone and stare at Jill's contact.
I debated on whether to call or her not.
Suddenly as though she has read my thoughts from afar her call came in and i answer almost immediately.
Her voice was breaking and my blood boiled in great anger.
" Did Mike hurt you ? " I ask her silently and i heard her sniffed.
" No, he didn't. How is han's rescue going ? " She asked me from the other end.
I willed my anger to evaporate and to keep my voice clear.
" Logan is on his way here, han was rescued but he is badly injured too " i told her.
For a long moment she didn't say anything.
" Jill? " I called worriedly.
" Jill , are you there? " I asked.
Her voice came in and this time she was crying.
" Mr Mike warn me to stay away from you " She said and i gripped the cellphone in annoyance.
The sound of her crying calm me down somewhat and i spoke to her softly.
" Where are you? " I asked her.
" I am somewhere around the claw lake mansion " she answered sniffing.
" Would you come to me ? You need to be here for han " i told her.
" I wished to but... I can't. I am very sure that Mr Mike will have someone to follow me , I'm so sorry Jack "
I shut my eyes and exhaled deeply to calm down.
" I understood, Mike has a way of taking away my love ones from me. You should be careful then. " I told her and i hung up.
I stare into space fuming in anger.
I heard some voices coming from the living room so i quickly step out.
I saw Logan with two other guys carrying han by his shoulder.
He look lifeless and i began to worry.
" Bring him here " i yell at the three men and they obey quickly.
I lead them to the guest room he has slept in the night before and they lay him down.
Logan has a deep cut on his shoulder, one of the other guy has a swollen eye while the other has blood oozing from the side of his head.
I see they have fought hard to rescue han.
The guest room door flipped open and Sally came in.
" Good, you're here. " I said and she smiles slightly and quickly get to work.
" Please leave us , i will call you when you're needed " she said.
I signal to the guys and we all step out.
I encourage them to walk with me into my room.
" Explain the position you find him " i said to logan.
He smirked his face.
" Boss the Mikes are very ruthless, can you believe they tied him upside down in a pit full of water? "
I smile, so very likely to be Mike.
I don't think blood run through that man's vein.
" I'm not surprised , you all have work hard "
I turn to the other guys who stare at me in admiration.
" Ahh, boss please meet Lucille and ray . They are my new partners " Logan chipped in as he noticed me looking at them.
I nodded in appreciation.
" I like them. " I said and the two men smile gratefully.
I walk to my drawer and brought out bundle of dollars note.
" Here " i extended it to Logan who received it smiling in delight. The other guys watch the money with delight.
" It is enough ... Right " I asked.
" Yes boss, more than enough " he said smiling.
I brought out another bundle of dollars and gave it to Logan who received it with confused expression.
" I will need you guys to visit the hospital so your wounds will be taken care of. I will need you healthy for another mission... Don't you think ? "
Ray the shortest Among the three replied.
" Yes boss, we will answer anytime you need us "
I nodded to him and they walk out.
I held Logan's hand and he stop to turn to me.
" Can the two be trusted? " I asked him silently and he smile.
" Sure boss, they are my faithful partners " he replied.
I smile at him.
" Get yourself treated and safe , i will call when something comes up " i told him and the three walk out.
I walk them downstairs and stood beside Maureen watching them leave.
" Will Han be save ? I need to ask him some questions " Maureen told me .
" He will, he is a fighter . I'm sure he will survive " i said to Maureen.
I heard the sound of a car and i wonder why Logan comes back again but the door open and Jill comes in.
To say i am excited to see her will be an understatement.
She walk up to me and hug me tightly.
" I thought you said Mike doesn't... " I didn't have the chance to complete my speech before she brings her mouth next to mine.
I held the back of her head with my hand cupped as i slid my lips against hers.
She lifted her arms around my neck and moan softly into my mouth.
I pulled away smiling.
" I need to see Han " She said breathlessly and i lead her to the guest room.
The door open and she entered.
I watch as her mouth dropped open when she saw Sally.
" What...is she do...ing here ? " She asked stammaring and i smile.
" This is doctor Sally, she took care of my father when he was sick. She's the family doctor " i introduce.
Jill stare at me and to Sally who seem very agitated.
" I saw her at Claw Lake mansion an hour ago " i heard Jill says.
My heart dropped into my stomach and i turn to see Sally's reaction.
I heard some groan from han and i quickly went to the bed side.
Han was gasping for air.
I turn to Sally with horror in my face.
" What have you done to him ? What! " I yell loudly.
I turned to Jill quickly.
" Call doctor joan NOW ! " i order.
