Chereads / Bodybuilder Reincarnation / Chapter 16 - Bonds

Chapter 16 - Bonds

"I- Is brother going to die?"

"No."

"…"

"I patched up his wound. The bleeding will stop soon."

"… Thank you."

I was slipping in and out of consciousness, only able to hear footsteps echoing throughout the mausoleum.

But I could swear that at some point, I heard Toba and Mia talking. I couldn't identify what it was about, but it must have been a short conversation.

I finally opened my eyes, and shortly after, I was placed down somewhere along the initial staircase.

It was a steep staircase, and it wasn't comfortable by any means, but I managed to sit in a somewhat comfortable position, using the uninjured side of my body to support the rest. Toba and Mia did the same.

Sensing the usual awkward silence coming up, I decided to break the ice.

As I turned my head to Mia, however, I noticed she was clutching her side with a pained expression.

Right… I wasn't the only one hurt. She took a kick from the minotaur, and a strike with the end of his weapon too. Even though I lost more blood, her wounds must be serious, she probably broke a few bones.

"Are you ok? That minotaur had insane strength, and you were hit twice."

She looked surprised for a moment but didn't let herself get too flustered.

"I´m fine, the kick didn't connect properly, the only real damage was from the strike. I was careless."

"I´m sorry I couldn't do more to help, I´m still new to fighting monsters. Especially ones of that size."

"You´re joking, right? How old are you?"

Shit, she definitely knows about the race hybrid´s growth spurts, since she´s one herself. Although I look 12 or 13 years old and I´m more than happy to let people assume I´m that old, the reality is that both me and Toba are only six!

"Well… I guess there´s no point in hiding it, we´re only six years old."

Instead of surprise, her gaze turned sharp like a knife.

"So that hair color of yours really isn´t for show. You don't have any other demonic traits though..."

"Yeah, according to my old teacher, I´m only 1/4´s demon. I still got the same growth spurt as Toba, however. He´s a beast hybrid. Half human."

"That aside, you´re way too developed for someone who lived only six years."

"Well, I do train a lot." I said as I flexed a bicep.

The pain from my wound made me instantly regret it, and her murderous gaze took my regret even further.

Toba was looking terrified in the corner as always. If he wasn't so innocent, he would know he had nothing to fear. He was uninjured and could kill us both if he wanted to.

"You know that´s not what I meant, you two clearly had some special training, but at least your brother acts more his age."

I was about to give in and explain everything, but it wasn't the right move.

"I know it´s strange, but don´t you think you´re asking too many questions? I also don´t know anything about you, despite how intimate we´ve got a few times." I said as I rubbed my thigh in the place she had bitten and clenched my stomach where she had punched.

She paused for a moment.

I didn't know whether she would get angry or not, but I had a feeling this time would be different from our other two encounters.

My conversation with the innkeeper about her also lingered on my mind.

"… You´re right. You don´t owe me anything."

Jesus… Why put it that way? It´s not that serious.

"Don´t be like that, we can owe each other. I saved you, and you saved me in return."

"Why?" she looked me in the eyes and asked abruptly.

"Why? Well, it´s-"

"Why did you save me? I injured you twice, most people would leave me fighting that monster alone, or even try to sabotage me."

If I say the real reason, I´ll get punched for sure… But was that even the real reason? Would I risk my life just because she´s cute? I don´t know the answer.

"It wouldn't feel right to abandon a girl. Besides, I came here because I was tired of fighting weak monsters all the time. It was a chance to prove myself."

"..."

"…"

Toba took the momentary pause as an opportunity to hand us health potions, which were really appreciated.

"That´s reckless, but I can´t blame you. I used to do the same."

Her gaze was distant, as if she was remembering something from a long time ago.

"What about you? Why were you after that minotaur?"

"I was hunting for this." She said as she produced a large shard that looked like a chunk of purple glass.

I had no clue what it was, but I could feel an energy similar to the undead miasma, only more concentrated.

"It´s an undead core. Powerful undead are practically guaranteed to have it."

I looked at her as if expecting more information, she made a sigh and continued talking.

"It fetches a high price, people use it to enchant their weapons and armor, or craft trinkets that make low intelligence undead not attack you."

"Are you going to sell it? I don´t want a share so don´t worry. All I need are the imp horns for my quest."

"No, I plan on making the aforementioned trinket, I´ll need it in the future."

Alright, that´s enough prying. It would be rude to ask what she needs it for.

"So, what do you want to know?"

"What do you mean?"

"You told me a little bit about yourself, I don´t mind telling you a little bit too. Of course, maybe I won´t be able to answer something, but we can try."

She made an annoyed face that screamed 'It´s not like I´m trying to get to know you or anything!'

After a short pause in which she seemed to be trying to control her anger, she spoke.

"Those spells you used… The technique is already impressive for a rookie mage, but you also fight in close quarters with good footwork. Your brother also has technique and strength way outside his rank. Where did you two learn all of this?"

"Not bad right? We´re both orphans, so we were raised by a very skilled adventurer who found us abandoned in the forest and decided to take us in on a whim."

Toba looked at me with a confused face, but I ignored him.

There were lots of details that were better omitted. If I added in any more, I would need to explain my reincarnation.

I spent half an hour telling her about everything we did after finding Luna, while omitting some key details of course.

For some reason, she listened to it all with attention, only stopping to question some things or make comments like 'So that´s where you learned this' and so on.

Toba had given up on trying to understand why I was changing up the story and ended up falling asleep.

I was going to scold him, but he was allergic to the solution 'misce' that nonmagical potions used so he was understandably tired after fighting for so long without any stamina drinks.

"It is an unbelievable story, but it explains how you two are so skilled for your age."

If it´s already unbelievable like this, I can only imagine what she would think if I told her the whole thing, wolves included.

"Right? We were really lucky to have such a skilled teacher, not to mention the access to all the spells and the safety of the tower. It´s a real shame it vanished though…"

Originally, I was going to omit the tower as well, but I ended up telling her about it anyway.

As a matter of fact, I didn't plan on telling her even half of what I did, but I just couldn't stop myself from yapping away.

I hadn't had the opportunity to talk to anyone besides Toba about my adventures so far, so I lost control a little bit.

"You two were certainly fortunate, skilled instructors are something very few adventurers ever have the chance of hiring, hence why they all get stuck on a wall eventually."

"Yeah, most rookies I came into contact with just swing their swords around until they hit something and spend all their coin in the tavern."

"That is the norm, the ranks are a filter of sorts, they are not something to indicate the time one has spent adventuring. Most people get stuck early and never get promoted."

"Maybe it´s a lack of training?"

"It´s a lack of talent. Your teacher only bothered training you two because you were talented, otherwise she would have quickly given up."

Sounds a lot like bodybuilding… One can always improve, but to get competitive, you need talent and genetics. No amount of training, food, or steroids can make up for that.

"Maybe that´s true. I can´t for the life of me get the hang of law spells, but Toba managed to learn one quickly. Meanwhile he can´t cast any minor spells, and I learned a regular spell on my own."

"Those are aptitudes, what I´m talking about is general talent, whether it be in magic or close combat, it´s what separates fodder from those who will accomplish something… But now that you mentioned it, this 'self-taught spell' is the one you used earlier, right? It couldn´t have been a minor spell."

Shit, I wasn't supposed to mention that.

"Y-yeah… Let´s just say it´s a spell I shouldn´t know… So I had to learn it by myself."

Her gaze fell to the ground, and she again had a certain melancholy present in her face.

"I imagine you don´t know much about it either, since you were surprised by some of its effects."

"You could see inside it, right?"

Not just her.

"Me and the imps…"

Her face had now sunken so low that her bangs completely covered her ruby colored eyes.

I´m a coward, trying to dodge around it only made her feel worse.

"Look, I know it´s not my place to say anything, and I´m sure you went through a lot… But you shouldn't be ashamed of your ancestry. If anything, it makes you stand out from the fodder."

"…"

"Sorry I-"

"Do you know why you and your brother were left in that forest?"

"Yeah… My teacher told me."

"You barely had any traits at all, save for the color of your hair. Just because of that, you were left to die alone."

"…"

"Now imagine how I, who had a demon father and a half demon mother, who inherited practically everything save for wings and a tail, imagine how I was viewed!"

"…"

"And you know what´s worse? I deserve it all! I attacked you over nothing, I attacked many more people before, and I even killed some people who picked fights with me! All because of this shitty demon blood you´re telling me to be proud of!"

At this point, she had gotten up and was screaming at me. I worried about her wounds, but if I had abnormal regenerative abilities due to my demon blood, she probably had an even greater one.

"You´re not attacking me now."

"What?" She asked with a face very similar to the one she had when she last punched my stomach. A mix of anger, confusion, and shame. This time she wasn't hiding her face with her hair, and it was all on display.

"I know about the emotional problems that come with demon blood. I have an anger problem too; Toba knows all too well unfortunately."

She paused to glance at Toba, who had clearly woken up by her screaming, but was pretending to be still asleep.

"You don´t seem like you have it. What problems has it caused in your life? You-"

"It´s not as frequent, no doubt due to me being only 1/4´s demon, but it still hurts when I take out my anger on someone I love."

"…"

"It´s probably true that I can´t understand what you go through, but the fact is that you´re not dead. For better or for worse, your mistakes haven´t been fatal for you yet."

"You think I should be put down?" For the first time, mixed in with the anger and shame, there was fear.

That´s an interesting question. She is surely a hazard, and she has killed before when it was not justifiable.

But this is not Earth. Sure, I do still think morality applies, but this is a world where strength dictates freedom. You don't mess with someone unless you´re willing to take the risk and fight that person.

Can I blame it on her that she looks less dangerous than she is? Certainly not.

Can I blame it on her that she goes too far and kills people when fights happen? Certainly. But I can´t say with conviction that she should be put down.

"I think that if someone were to kill you in one of your fights, neither you nor anyone else would have the right to complain. But you won those with the strength you attained."

Before she could protest, I kept going.

"It is true that you need to better control yourself, since some day you´re bound to lose. I almost beat you the first time, remember?" I said so in a joking tone to lighten the mood.

"WHAT?"

It was not taken as a joke.

"I- I´m joking! Look, what I´m trying to say is: You´re not attacking me right now. We´re talking just like two ordinary adventurers."

"That´s…"

Is that blushing I see? Have I finally done it?

"The reason doesn´t matter, does it? Whether it´s because we've saved each other, whether it´s because I managed to survive you, the important thing is that you don´t need to isolate yourself. You are capable of getting along despite your demon blood."

"…" She had started to get worked up again, but stopped midway and calmed down, slumping her shoulders against the wall, and sliding back into a sitting position.

After a minute of silence where we only stared at the ceiling, she spoke again.

"The time it takes for demons like those imps to spawn back is roughly the same as it takes to recover spells, so we're probably safe for now."

"Yeah, unless we missed an imp, we should be fine, but even if we did, I don't think he would be too eager to fight us."

After that awkward commentary, she hung her head again and asked in a timid voice.

"Why aren't you angry with me? I bit you when you were just trying to help me, and I even punched you when all you did was talk to me…"

"Look, let's just say I have my reasons. Either way, there's no reason we can't be allies now, right?"

"What are you suggesting?" She said with a serious face.

"We made a fine team against that minotaur, right? I know I probably still need to catch up with you in close quarters combat, but my spells can make up for it in a pinch. We also have the extremely broken combination of using my darkness spell alongside your special eyes."

"Broken? What do you mean?"

Shit, I'm using videogame terms.

"I mean extremely useful… Either way, we can also train together. My brother and I learn quick, so we shouldn't be a hindrance for too long."

"… You know there is a reason I work alone, right?"

"There are a few reasons that come to mind, yes. But I don´t know if you´ve noticed, me and Toba are not exactly very sociable either."

"From what I saw you two don't seem to have a lot of problems with the guild or other adventurers. I´m sure there are better options."

So, she has been watching me? Fufufu…

"I don't want to be that guy… But I haven't seen any other group at our skill level other than owl´s group or you, and Owl doesn't let us join him for some reason."

As I mentioned Owl´s name, her face contorted instantly.

"That clown isn't anywhere near my level. Or yours, for that matter. All he does is lead around that retarded band of mediocre adventurers, and as soon as someone that can rival him appears, he gets insecure."

So they know each other? I do remember him being weirdly knowledgeable about half demons.

"It does annoy me that he refuses to let us adventure with him, but he´s not all bad. He even paid for my cleric fees after… That day"

"Trust me, you have only regrets ahead of you if you place your hopes on him." Her face was still twitching with anger, she was clearly trying hard to hold back her emotions.

"Well, that makes it an easy decision then. Owl doesn't want me anyway, and I´m not the most sociable creature, believe it or not. So that leaves you, Mia."

She seemed to get a little annoyed that I was choosing her by process of elimination, but as soon as I called her by name, she got extremely flustered.

She was going back and forth between anger and bewilderment, finally settling on shame.

She was the one who told me her name right? She can´t blame me for using it.

Wait, when did I get so good at this? I was always oblivious when it came to women.

"S- Sure… If you´re fine with it, we can do a few quests together… But people will judge you for it."

"I don´t care about what other people think anyways. I get enough attention from my weird routine already. And besides, I need another way to get high level quests if my current plan fails."

"Your training is truly weird… Wait, what plan?"

"You see… I can´t take on quests at this level yet, so I used Owl´s name to do it alone instead, since he kept declining me."

"… You tricked the guild?"

"Is it so bad if I managed to complete the quest?"

"If you´re lucky, you´ll get away with just a fine…"

"I do get the quest reward though, right? I just spent all my money preparing for this one."

"…"

"FUCK!" I yelled in frustration and ended up hitting the wall with my head.

"Brother? Something happen?" Toba, who seemed to have really fallen asleep, woke up startled.

"No. Not yet anyway. We should go, but before that…"

I stood up, careful as to not reopen my wound, and extended my hand toward Mia and Toba.

Toba took my hand, and I helped him stand up even though he was fine, but Mia refused and stood up by herself.

"I say we made a fine team today; I think we should do it again. What do you think, Toba, Mia?"

"If you want it that much, then fine. But don´t expect me to slow down. You´re strong, but you´re still inexperienced, so don´t hold me back." Mia, who seemed to have completely regained her usual composure, said as if she was uninterested.

"What? T- team? But Toba thought-"

"Excellent! Since we are all in favor, let´s work together from now on."

"We must get out of here first. You two have compasses, right?"

"Erm… They were too expensive."

"Unbelievable… How did you even get here without one?"

"We used rocks as landmarks and tried different directions… But it did take a while."

"And if your little rocks got knocked over by zombies, what would you do?"

"Hm? That's unlikely, the zombies are too spar-"

"You were saying?"

Yeah… The horde that surrounded us in the end definitely knocked over our waypoints…

"Nevermind… Thanks for the save…"

I hadn't realized how unprepared and reckless we were. Even having reached the dungeon and surviving it, we still had to get back.

Not only did we lose our mounts, but we would also be completely lost, hoping that one of our reference points stayed standing after all this time.

And even if we did find an isolated one, it wouldn't be much help, since it would be hard to figure out where we were without the others for reference.

Maybe I really should get scolded by the guild…

No, no. That's the wrong way of thinking. I should blame Owl instead, since he refused to take me with him and forced me to try it alone.

There we go. Much better.

"They left! Thank God."

"Were there really that many zombies? I find it hard to believe that you would have difficulty dealing with them."

"Believe me, it was a lot. That imp managed to attract an absurd amount."

"Brother! Now we look for wolfs!" Toba said excitedly as he pulled on my vest.

There goes my good fortune… I´m not sure how to tell him…

"Toba I… The thing is…"

"Wolf strong! They escape!"

Mia had already understood what probably happened, and I was expecting her to rip the band-aid off in the most cold and direct manner possible.

It wouldn't be nice, and Toba would definitely cry, not to mention that the relationship between would sour right at the beginning of it.

But a selfish part of me was wishing for her to do it and take the responsibility from me.

Instead, she looked at me with a serious face, as if telling me to get myself together.

"We should look for them. It won´t take too long."

He needs to see it himself, huh? That is probably for the best.

Embarrassed, I regained my composure and wiped off my uncomfortable expression.

"Thank you."

Mia nodded in response, her twin tails bobbing along in an absurdly cute manner that retracted from her seriousness and coolness.

Toba hastily began searching for their scent. Relying on your nose wasn't the easiest thing in a massive graveyard filled with rotten corpses, but Toba was extremely familiar with their scent, and they hadn't gotten far.

We didn't take too long to find their corpses.

"W- why… don´t understand…" Toba predictably started sobbing.

It was best to leave him mourning for a while, but as we got closer, the wolf corpses started to twitch.

Toba was about to rush in and pet them, thinking they were still alive, but I knew better.

Grabbing him by his cloak, I pulled him away.

"They're alive! We help them!" He said confused.

It didn't take long for the wolves to slowly rise with unnatural movements. Their eyes had gone completely white, and they weren't breathing.

"Everything that dies in this place turns to zombies. You can mourn them after you allow their bodies to rest." Mia said in a firm, but not overly harsh tone.

She might be unpredictable, but surprisingly, she pulls through in situations like this. Having her close will be good for Toba's development.

Toba was in disbelief, but he clearly understood what happened.

If we were to risk our lives together, he needed to become more reliable. This was a good learning opportunity for him.

"Mia, can you lend us your daggers?"

"Sure." She said as she pulled out her paired long daggers and handed them to me.

I held one and gave Toba the other.

"One stab to the brain. We put them to rest and burn their bodies."

"D- does Toba really have to do it?" He said as he looked at me with fear in his eyes, but I didn't look his way.

I dashed forward, and quickly pushed the blade through the living corpse of my old mount.

Toba was standing still, gripping the dagger and watching.

Not long after, the other wolf corpse came stumbling in my direction, gradually increasing his speed as if the strings controlling him were getting more and more attached.

I stayed completely still.

"Brother!"

I didn't move.

This better work... It will be awkward if I end up having to dodge at the last second.

The wolf was finally running, I wasn't looking at him, but I could see him getting closer and closer in the corner of my eye.

Shit! This is harder than I expected! It's taking all I have to not react.

It's not like I'm completely healed either, if I take too long, I might not be able to dodge it completely.

"BROTHER!"

The wolf was only a meter away when he leapt at my face with its mouth open unnaturally wide.

I was about to move. I couldn't risk getting my face mangled.

SHUNK!

A dagger flew right beside me, hitting the wolf in the neck with great force and dropping him to the ground.

As I looked over, Toba was panting with his hand outstretched, still in the throwing motion.

The zombie wasn't dead yet, and soon started trashing about again while it stood.

Toba ran, finally piercing it in the brain with Mia's weapon.

I was going to stay and let him cry for a while, but surprisingly, he stood up, holding back his tears and looking me in the eyes.

"Toba is strong. I won't put brother in danger again."

"Do you promise?"

"Promise!"

Mia had a distant look on her face that I could only guess what it was about.

"Let's get going then. Here, thanks for lending me them." I said as I gave her daggers back, purposely touching the back of my hand on hers while I was at it.

Soft… I was expecting some more callouses.

She paused for a bit, but ended up not saying anything and just took out her compass.

The way back was uneventful, with the occasional zombie or skeleton in the way. We were also too tired to talk, and we had quite a long walk ahead of us.

With the compass, however, things were simpler, as we could avoid combat without getting lost.

Despite our injuries, we ended up getting back to town without issues.

"We're here…"

"Legs hurt…"

Me and Toba groaned in unison. If Luna was here, she would scold us.

"…" Mia looked at us with an angry face and was about to say something, but ended up letting out a sigh instead.

"I won't lie, I overestimated myself as well." She said with a resigned expression.

"I think I will just crash into bed. Can we meet tomorrow to discuss things? Me and Toba usually wake up around midday and go eat lunch in the tavern."

"Yeah… Be sure to have a clear head when you go turn in your quest…"

"… Is it really that bad that I tricked them?"

"…" Mia made an awkward face and left.

"Brother are we in trouble?"

"Practice the cutest, most innocent face you can. We'll go there just before lunch tomorrow, and if she asks you anything, just say you really, really wanted to try a new adventure."

"But Toba didn-"

"You really need to listen to me on this one… Just say what I told you, ok?"

"… Hm" He nodded as always.

A Brazilian arrives at a town in another world and immediately tries to trick the system… I'm not helping the stereotype, am I?

Maybe I should try speaking in broken English and claim I didn't know it was wrong.

"…"

Sophie the guild receptionist was staring straight at me from across the entire hall. Her short, light brown hair and eyes didn't move an inch, her entire body seemed like it was frozen in time.

It was like she was staring at dirt.

What is this pressure? She´s worse than the minotaur.

I had been hoping that the news didn´t get to her, but apparently, I was being too optimistic.

Swallowing dry, I held Toba´s hand and walked over to the counter. I needed every bit of feigned innocence I could get.

Toba made a disgusted face and tried to get free from my sweaty hand, but I gave it a sharp squeeze as hard as I could, and he gave up.

Don´t go acting up now. You´re the most important part of the plan.

"G- good morning, Sophie!"

"Yes. It is a very nice morning indeed."

"About the quest…"

"…"

"L- look, I know it was wrong, but Toba really wanted a challenge, and no one wanted to take us in…"

Sophie looked at Toba with the same expression. For a kid that was used to being spoiled by her, it must have been even scarier.

"Toba, is that true? Didn't I tell you about how dangerous it is?"

"Toba is sorry…"

Nice, he held out for now. Didn't exactly lie, but at least he didn't expose me either.

"Not only that…" She said as she turned her gaze back to me. "You even went so far as to use another adventurer´s name. You´re lucky you two are only pink rank, this is enough justification for a demotion."

"I know… I was just too impatient, and people were already angry at us for taking all the low rank quests, I didn't want Toba to be judged too harshly…"

As soon as I said that, her lip trembled slightly.

YES, IT´S WORKING!

"But you put him in danger! What if you two have gotten killed trying to complete it? He´s just a child!"

Now that stone face had cracked, she started visibly showing her concern and anger.

"I´m aware of the danger, but we didn't complete it alone!"

"Wait, what? You completed it?" She said in disbelief.

"Yeah, and we got help from Mia! It wasn't so dangerous with the three of us together!"

She froze for a couple of seconds. I could visibly see the windows 'loading wheel' spinning on her forehead.

"YOU GOT HELP FROM WHO!!??"

It took a while, but I told her a completely made-up story about how Mia found us on the edge of the cemetery, helped us navigate through it and taught us about the tactics we used to defeat the imps.

I completely omitted any mention of the undead minotaur of course.

As much as I wanted to brag about how we actually killed the imps on our own and how I managed to fight that huge monster together with Mia, I needed to do whatever it took to preserve our relationship with the guild and rank up.

It would be troublesome if Mia herself told someone about the minotaur, but she didn't seem the type to brag.

"That is hard to believe..."

"That Mia is capable of helping someone, or that we managed to complete the quest? I showed you the imp horns, so…"

"No, no, I didn't mean it like that…"

I should really stop doing this…

"Sigh… Even so, I still need to notify the guild and punish you both."

"Sniff… Toba is sorry… It´s Toba´s fault… Sniff…" Toba failed to hold back a sob, and water started pouring out of his eyes.

Unbeknownst to Sophie, I was pinching his tail in a very painful manner.

Sophie opened her mouth to speak, but the words got caught in her throat. The poor girl was trying her best to be professional.

This was my moment.

Since the counter was too high, I climbed it a little just so I could hang and lean my upper body forward to be able to whisper to her.

My injure wasn't fully healed just yet, so pressing it over the counter was hurting quite a lot.

"Look, I screwed up, I get it. But can´t we solve this some other way? I know I shouldn't have done this, but Owl didn't let us tag along in his quests for some reason, and Toba was feeling really down."

"I can´t just ignore the rules!"

"I know, I know. But Toba will think it´s all his fault no matter what I do, and he´s a sensitive kid. Besides, believe it or not, we are going to start questing together with Mia from now on. Isn't it a good thing for the guild if she stops causing trouble?"

"How did you even convince her?"

"She´s not so bad if you manage to survive her initial suspicions, and I´m half demon as well so that helps a little. Anyway, you know me and my brother are capable enough. If we were older, I´m sure we would have gotten promoted already, given the volume of quests we´ve done."

"That´s true… But-"

"Isn´t it bad for the guild if skilled adventurers are stuck at low rank, taking a disproportionate amount of the easy quests made for beginners? I´m not sure what the punishment will be, but I doubt it would involve ranking up faster."

"Look, I haven't told anybody yet, but Owl is the one who came here to take another quest and made me figure it out. If you don't want trouble, you need to talk to him and convince him to forgive you. If he complains about this with the guild I´m screwed."

"I knew I could count on you! I´ll figure something out."

At this point, several people were staring at the scene of a green haired kid hanging on the counter and whispering with the receptionist.

Toba was rubbing his tail and wiping away his tears.

After leaving a bag with the imp horns on the counter, we quickly got out of the guild.

I can speak with Owl when I meet him, he might get mad, but he really doesn't seem the type to snitch.

The only thing on my mind was our lunch with Mia. Since we resolved the guild issue earlier than expected, we shouldn't be late.

I feel like I´m more excited than I should… I mean, she IS crazy after all.

But maybe that is what attracts me. I went from "Kill on sight" status, to partner who risked life and limb together.

I´m also probably the only one right now that´s on her good side; Limited and exotic items are always the most interesting and valuable.

I always believed in the philosophy that a girl with the fewest friends possible is the best to date and marry.

She´s also surprisingly mature when she´s not trying to kill someone.

And she is exactly my type. It´s like I made her myself in koikatsu or something.
