Everyone was left speechless, they could have never thought of such a thing, how comes a match just end like that. When they have been waiting for the BIG show they received disappointment.
However, when Vander forfeited the match, he just walk away before any farther explaination, he walk past everyone until the door, he push it open and get out of the building.
After a while Prof Vance announced Jake Devlin as a winner before he let him go. While Jake was walking toward his seat, Xander could see how Jake has clenched his fist hard, he was so frustruated to the point where he could see a whisp of smoke come out his body.
Eventually, it was a fight between Xander and Ayden. Xander has been through many matches before, he has defeat too many students which has lead to a large contribution on his power. There was even one opponent who has given quite a struggle who has lead to an instant level up, lucky for him he had not met with Claire as an opponent. Before a match Xander looks at his status screen.

Infront of everyone else, standing there was Xander and Ayden facing each other.

Xander take a fight stance after Professor allow the fight, but then Ayden was the one who started his move, as he throw his punch toward Xander.
'Let's see your endurance.' Xander thought as he throw his own punch, when they corride only sounds of bones could be heard but nothing else.
"I see, you are quite a strong yourself." Ayden admited. "Lets see if you can take all of them."
Ayden unleash a flurry of punches toward Xander, and what Xander did was to block them but what he noticed was that Ayden wasn't that reflex.
Ayden continue to punch again and again, while Xander was blocking and dogde at time.
However for a suddenly, Xander disappeared right infront of his eye, before Ayden realize he was hit by a powerful kick from behind which sent him sliding.
"You might be strong but I am faster than you." Xander smirked.
When he tried to stand up Xander run straight toward him and at the right time he jump into the air in a rapid spin and deliver a dropkick to Ayden. It had send him sliding again but this time he didn't wake up.
'Did I knock him?' He wondered, everyone was silence waiting for Ayden to wake up, after all no one believed that he had been defeated just like that without much effort.
It was then that a notification prompt out infront of him

Since the begin of the competition this has been the second time he had unlock a new skill, in total he has three skills now, though he hadn't got a time to learn about them.
Prof Vance appear from a thin air and inspect Ayden. After a while he announced Xander as a winner, the crowd gave a round of applause supporting Xander when he was going back to his special seat. He met Jake who sat confidently on his chair.
After all they were given a short break for rest, so that they can return to their peek condition.

"I can't find this damn jerk, where did he go." Claire wondered as she roam around without a specific destination. "I have even checked him in his room were will he be? As long as I know him, he doesn't have even a friend to ask about him."
Somewhere in the academy, Xander was on the very top of the building. He has been watching his watch time to time, sometime he will look all over the academy since he can get a good view of the whole academy.
'I still can't figure it yet! What's wrong with that Vander boy? I have a feeling that he is stronger than any of us.' Xander thought. 'And yet he just forsake a match just like that.'
Now that he had been thinking about it for sometime, he has come up with a thing to do.
Eventually the time has reached and finally everyone was inside the arena again. Everyone was excited to see how the final match would be, between their two titans.
Out of a thin air Prof Vance appear at the center of the arena before he announced to everyone.
"Everyone, it's the final match and it will be the end of our little competition. Here we go." He announced. "Xander Vinn and Jake Devlin ."
They all step forward, Jake take his fighting stance while Xander fold his arms around his chest.
"Don't overestimate yourself." They were the only words that come out of Jake's mouth.
Prof Vance watch them for sometime before shout the word 'FIGHT'. But then everyone heard something unexpected.
"I forfeit."
