CHAPTER 12: ACCEPTED
You know what, I guess I rather just go, back out, you know, since I am not welcomed here, I don't want any strife to come between you guys, because of me. I understand, I am different, I am the enemy and I have no business, seeking help, from the same people, I was trained to kill. Goodbye all. Iris said as she turned to leave, but the door was snapped shut by Tracy, making a big bang, with her telekinesis, startling everyone, especially Iris who gasped.
Mum, is angry. I suggest you don't make her angry enough to fry your brains. Tina said to Iris, who looked at them scared already.
I don't think she is really the bad guy, here. She is trembling and I doubt she would be able to remain conscious from all the shocks she is currently going through, so I suggest we take it easy with her, okay. We are supposed to be the good guys, and yet she is sacred of us, as if we are the bad guys here. Aidan said, from where he sat.
Okay fine, I guess I will stop giving her my killer glares, and I guess I will search her, without killing her… Tina said as Aidan said,
Oh look, you didn't say…
Yet! Tina concluded as Aidan paused, oh you had to just say it huh.
What do you mean by search? Who is searching me? Iris asked looking confused.
Okay, Iris, I don't want you to freak out, but whatever you see now, is completely normal, between people like us, okay.
Wait, what is happening. Iris asked utterly confused.
She ought to know, wait what is your powers? What is your powers in the first place? How special are you, that you have to be given VIP treatment? Tina asked crossing her hands.
Well, I guess I can do earth quake, thingy. I guess. Iris said a bit nervous.
Tina burst out laughing as she slapped her legs like a cartoon character.
Did you, hear…come on guys, I know you heard what she said, earth quake. Is that a thing, like what is she going to do? Shake us, till we fall on our butts. Tina said as she laughed again, making Iris feel bad.
Come on, Tina, that is not very nice of you to say, maybe that is only what she thinks she can do. Remember no power is useless, apart from Aidan but who cares. Tracy said looking at Aidan, who frowned.
You know what, I won't say anything to you, I will not let you poke me with your hook, no way am I being baited by you.
Seriously adults, in the room, can we focus on the issues, right before us. Tina said rolling her eyes.
Fine, Tina do your thing. Tracy said as Tina nodded.
Just then, she began to shrink in height, getting smaller, and smaller, as Iris almost screamed. As if the air was being pulled out of her body as she became tiny and tinier till she was a speck.
Where the hell did she go to? Iris asked as she felt something on her leg, tugging on her clothes climbing up. She started screaming as she tried to swat it away, but Toni held her hands.
Relax, it is just Tina, she is checking if you are carrying any bug on you, or a transmittable devices connected to the Force. Okay so stay calm, and you will see it is just a breeze. Toni said as Tracy and Aidan nodded as if agreeing with what Toni said.
Iris tried to remain calm, as she felt her moving in her inner wear, making her way down to her belly. She tried to hold her breath, as she clenched her fists tightly as a low rumble began, as things were shaking and lights were flickering, as books were falling, and the computers were experiencing system failure.
The door opened as Hazel ran in saying, Tracy we are experiencing an earthquake. We need to evacuate or the building will collapse.
Tracy looked at Iris, whose hands were clenched tight and her eyes were closed tightly. She nodded at Hazel and said, tell everyone to stay clear from the walls okay, but nobody should leave yet.
She went towards Iris and held her two hands, as Iris slowly opened her eyes, the earthquakes reducing slowly before it stopped and everything return back to normal. Just then Tracy gave her a smile, which she returned, smiling back at her. Aidan and Toni both heaved a big sigh of relief, as Iris even forgot that Tina was on her searching her clothes.
See, that wasn't so bad, was it? Tracy said as Iris nodded her head, breathing freely for the first time since she came.
I told you that there was nothing to be scared of you see, they are all going to accept you. Toni said.
Yes, I guess, I just had to had faith in myself. Iris said as the door opened and Hazel walked in saying,
Tracy, the earthquake has gone, and all systems are back on line…who is she? She asked looking at Iris, who quickly covered her logo. There was no way, she was going through that ever again.
She is new, her name is… Tracy began to say when Tina suddenly materialized from nothing and shouted,
She has a bug on her, take her down. She screamed pointing at Iris, as Hazel immediately metamorphosed a cube and enclosed Iris in it, as Tracy pulled Toni behind her.
Tina held up the little bug in her hand as Toni gasped out, she couldn't believe Iris would be capable of such thing.
What did you just do? She said to Iris, who kept banging on the cube.
Let me out, this is a mistake. Something is wrong somewhere, I promise, I have nothing to do with this, I am innocent…Toni. She called out looking at Toni silently pleading to help her, but Toni shook her head as Tracy ordered.
