Chapter 22 - The Choice is Yours

The three of them regarded a door in front of them with blank expressions. As if an invisible shadow is displaying cutscenes accompanied by a magical and melodic score.

Sandra asked finally, "Shouldn't you come here?"

"Where do you suggest we go? Mansions?" said Bara.

The boy in the group was silent. I did not intend to comment. Sky is familiar with this area. He frequently caught his mother in the past talking about the flat in front of them. As many are aware, this apartment left the mother with countless memories.

Not really, no. Sandra scratched the non-itchy nape of her neck. It would be odd if she exaggerated the severity of her past wounds. Ultimately, this is merely a residence that cannot attest to anything if questioned.

"How would you like it? Shouldn't we enter first?" remarked Bara gazing at Sandra. He could sense his wife's disinterest as she approached the entrance to their previous flat.

"Um...."

"Are we still here?" demanded Sky, who was exhausted from dealing with his parents' volatility.

"Yes, we spent the night in this location. Reconsider tomorrow."

Sandra entered a code to unlock the door to their apartment. Still, the same as seven years ago when she last left her.

"Come in," she murmured to the two men who were still motionless.

Upon seeing Sandra disappearing inside the door, they were compelled to pursue her.

Sandra was surprised to discover that her unit's equipment had not changed. All are kept sanitary. A little dated, but still useful. Bara ordered the staff to clean the apartment once every week on purpose.

"You handled it?" asked Sandra, directing her gaze towards Bara. Between emotions and frustration, Sandra's eyes misted up.

"Yes, without a doubt. Always, I hope that you and our son will return. So it is as follows," stated Bara with pride.

As opposed to Sandra, who pursed her lips. It horrified her to hear the man making fun of her.

Sandra stated with indifference, "Well, your comments do not affect me."

"Yes, the choice is yours. I am simply speaking the truth."

Bara moved his body towards the still-frozen Sky. The young youngster was exhausted and needed a respite.

"Sky, allow me to show you the room."

Bara placed his arms around Sky's shoulders and brought him to the room he had conjured for Sky's needs. Black and gray predominate in every part of the room. At the opposite end of the room, near the window, was a table with a computer and gaming equipment.

Sky was ecstatic about the surprise in store for him.

"This is your room; are you satisfied?" Bara inquired inquisitively about her son's emotions.

"Thank you," Sky replied curtly.

Just nodded. Bara's impression of his son's difficulty in expressing himself grew clearer when he saw Sky during the past few days. His child's introverted nature is very pronounced. It makes no difference, as he was also like this in the past.

"Oh, it's so lovely! Then Sky will sleep. You must be exhausted after your workout."

Bara massaged his son's head and decided to immediately leave the room. Allow Sky to appreciate his new room. Not entirely final because he must also await Sandra's decision on where she will reside. It is possible that Sandra cannot afford to stay the night. Perhaps he will select the mansion or another residence tomorrow.

"Is Sky sleeping?" questioned Sandra upon seeing Bara enter their room with Sky.

Nothing has changed whatsoever. The layout remains unchanged. The bedding, closet fabrics, and other objects were not at all dusty.

"Indeed, he said he was exhausted. Perhaps he'll go to bed early, " suggested Bara. He does not wish to discuss the gaming equipment with his son. Sandra may enter Sky's room and nag ceaselessly.

"Yes, that is an improvement. Children don't sleep too late. You have no idea how difficult it was for me to get him to go to bed. Sandra implicitly initiated a dialogue with Bara by muttering, there is always a cause for him to remain vigilant."

"What is the explanation?" Bara enquired inquisitively.

"Indeed, he said to care for me. He stated that I feared running away and getting intoxicated. I fear I'm losing my sanity in my search for another husband. Even if the purpose of computer gaming is evident. That child is mischievous!"

This behavior makes Bara laugh. Sky's personality was identical to that of his childhood. He also frequently lied to his former nanny by saying flattering things. He did not expect the DNA imprint to have such a profound effect on him.

"Why chuckle? Is it amusing?"

Bara abruptly ceased laughing upon hearing Sandra's protest tone. He looked at his wife, Sandra, and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"I was truly inherited by him. I frequently did this to the nanny," said Bara truthfully.

Sandra pinched Bara's stomach quickly. It was twisted till the man moaned.

"Oh no, honey. What are you up to?" Bara wailed. He softly grasped Sandra's hand and squeezed it. "No longer torment your husband. I could go bonkers over this."

Sandra distanced herself from Bara once more. True, nothing has yet resulted from it.

"I am quite repulsed by what you crocodiles say."

Bara remained silent while feigning offense. Not at all, however. His demeanor became icy. Which even made Sandra shudder.

"There will likely be another storm. You are slumbering outside. Good night."

Bara had already held Sandra's body when it was too late. He seized the woman by the neck. His lips bridged the gap between them.

"Do you wish to reside in this home or elsewhere?" Bara said as the rope snapped.

"Em, this location is close to the Sky school. To your office as well. What is your opinion?" Sandra repeated her question.

"I am capable of doing it. No matter where we are, as long as we are together, it does not matter."

Sandra's eyes rolled lazily. His statements were far-fetched.

"The original occurrence that occurred to you seven years ago. Your mind is different, lamented Sandra. How could she not? The Bara she knew previously was icy. Simply adore him while he is in bed. The rest are like strangers.

No wonder she trembled in fear now. Perhaps she is not dealing with her husband, Bara Hernandez. But a drip or just a similar face.

"Yes, the choice is yours. In reality, I've always desired you. What else relates to business..." Bara paused the sentence and looked at Sandra's body center.

Sandra immediately turned around when she felt pervertedly observed. Not even willing to be open and honest with her husband. However, they have been apart for a considerable amount of time. Additionally, he experiences heartache at specific periods.

"Simply go to sleep. In the evening, your remarks are all over the place."

Sandra ran towards the restroom. Motives to urinate In reality, however, he shed tears when the door was entirely shut. Leaning against the wall, she disrobes. He felt chest constriction.

"What am I to do? He was the one who murdered Papa. Should I stay with him? Sky is, after all, among us."

Sandra didn't notice long ago. This time, though, the truth revealed its mystery.
