For one to be able to enter the sect, they had to clear two trials.
The trial of the will and the trial of the spirit.
This is what Silver had learned from fatty Ling.
But just now, the immortal declared that they had passed the trials instead of just saying that they had passed the trial of the will.
Not being able to hold back anymore, Fatty Ling asked in a shaking voice.
"Imm-Immortal, what do you possibly mean by that?"
The quivering voice attracted the attention of most.
The people who were celebrating earlier gave Fatty Ling a strange look. Possibly even thinking if he was just stupid for not understanding.
Not minding the strange gazes, Fatty Ling once again asked, revealing his confusion to everyone.
"Does that mean we don't have to give the trial of the spirit?"
"?"
Before people could even retort the absurd question, their brains failed to register when the immortal nodded.
"Yes. Due to some special consequences, this time we will not be conducting the trial of the spirit, meaning that all of you, who cleared the trial of the will, will directly become the outer disciples of the sect."
"What!?"
"Is this a drea–"
"Ho-how?"
It all finally dawned on the people and one hell of a scene it was, their mouths were hung open and their eyes as wide as saucers as they stood, frozen in their spots, only able to mumble incoherent sounds.
Silver and Mo Chen were not part of the latter as Silver was busy thinking of the underlying reasoning behind the literal cancellation of the trial and whether the stunt he pulled at the end had something to do with it or not.
On the other hand, Mo Chen still lay there, Unconscious.

A few minutes had passed since the people had started calming down but it looked like a few of them were still not over the initial shock.
One was Fatty Ling, still shaking, which gave rise to waves on his protruding stomach. The other was Han Ling, who stood absolutely stunned, her eyes unfocused.
Not wasting any more time here, the immortal woman clapped her hands once.
Clap–
"We will head towards the sect now. Follow us."
She, along with the other immortals, started moving at a pace that was not too fast nor too slow. Easy for them all to follow.
The subordinates had to carry Mo Chen on their back as all of them made their way toward the sect.
"I can't believe this is happening…"
Silver looked behind him, Fatty Ling still had a stargazing expression as he mumbled while looking nowhere particular.
Silver slowed his face and joined him.
"Isn't that fortunate for you, fatty?"
Broken out of his trance, Fatty Ling looked beside him. Spotting Silver, he smiled foolishly as he scratched the back of his head.
"I never in my dream thought something like this would ever happen, especially to me."
Fatty Ling had been trying for the last eight years. And every time, he'd give up in the trial of the spirit.
This was his last chance or else he'd have to inherit his clan and lead a mortal life.
But now? It looks like he had single-handedly changed the direction of his whole lineage.
He wasn't the only one to think so.
Most mortals here had this idea revolving in their heads.
Aside from the Martial Families and the Sect Families, no one had a guaranteed lineage path available to them.
Every mortal wished to become immortal or give birth to someone who could become one.
The emergence of whom will change the course of the family, they would instantly become a Martial Family, albeit the lowest tier.
Silver understood some of these facts too but it didn't matter much to him. From what he remembered, Yifan had never seen her mother and his father had passed away a few years ago.
He had no family, so to speak of. Only a few acquaintances of his father, the ones left in the dove city.
The concept of Martial families always confused him on the other hand. When it came to anything regarding the immortals or the mystic arts, Silver was as clueless as anybody.
'This won't do. Information is something I lack the most right now.'
Just a single piece of seemingly unimportant information for one could be considered gold for the other.
Silver, as a Dellsworth, had seen business families with years of foundation collapse to nothing just because they didn't have vital information.
The more he knew, the better he'd be able to keep himself afloat. Especially in a foreign world.
Obtaining information about immortality and the like was one major reason he was joining the sect. It was not like he had much choice anyways.
Yifan had sold his father's inheritance and he had nowhere to return. He couldn't even go anywhere when he had no idea whatsoever about the relations, geography, and politics of this world.
If he wanted to know more about the dilapidated house and the entities beyond, he first had to make sure that he would not lose his life while doing so. He'd only risk it if his life was in danger. As long as his life was in no danger, he'd enjoy his freedom.
The one shortcoming that was lack of information will be dealt with when he becomes a disciple so he just had to play his cards right.
He was still worried if the people there could tell if he was not the original owner, the outer elder who had examined him earlier startled him a little.
'Was he able to discover something, did he see the dilapidated house?'
These thoughts were constantly bothering him. If possible, he'd like to keep the knowledge of the strange house to himself.
Firstly, Silver was never really a trusting person, he had tried to do that once before but that person's betrayal had turned him into a recluse.
Secondly, the dilapidated house was the only clue he had that connected his transmigration into Yifan's body.
He didn't know if there were more people like him here and he didn't want to advertise the fact that he was, in fact, a person of another world.
Who knew what the people here would do to him? He'd not risk it no matter how enticing it seemed.

The azure estate was a fifty-year-old city that was established by the families of the founding ancestors of the sect thirty years after its settlement on the Azure mountain.
This single mountain was the one and only peak in the terrain nearby, making it visibly grander.
One could see the majestic mountain, covered by immortal mist, sitting proudly on the earth's embrace.
The Azure Order sect was situated on this mountain while the families of the immortals lived in the inner estate around the mountain.
"Eighty years ago, the founding ancestor of our sect, Mu Lan Tian, A Grand Harmony King, established the sect after his name."
"He imparted his precious cultivation and divine knowledge to his two disciples. Our current sect master is a disciple of founding ancestor, Qin Shuhao, A lesser Harmony King."
"What is a Harmony King?"
Asked Silver, his curiosity getting the best of him.
The immortal woman, who was currently giving a background of the sect and their leaders stared at Silver and asked instead.
"Do you know what we are?"
Such a simple question, but Silver didn't answer immediately. Wondering if her question contained any deeper meaning.
But there were some people who clearly didn't think it through.
"An Exalted Immortal!"
Han Ling, who was paying attention to both Silver and the immortal who was imparting her knowledge answered hastily when she saw Silver not doing so.
The immortal looked at her and then everyone else who was currently walking towards the sect.
"That is what you people call us."
"?"
Han Ling was dumbfounded. She hadn't expected such a response.
In the mortal world, everyone called these venerated figures Immortals out of fear and reverence, what else would she call them?
Weren't they immortals?
Noticing the confusion on their faces, a different immortal elaborated.
"Immortal was a term given to us and not to ourselves. This term's popularity spiraled out of control as the current society separated itself into two. The Mortals and Immortals."
The people, except for a few, were briefly stunned as they heard the old looking immortal.
From the moment they were born, the tales and legends of the immortals were fed to them. The figures who could break lands and raze skies, eternal and undying immortals.
They grew up revering and fantasizing about one-day meeting such beings or themselves becoming one.
But now they were told that the Immortals never wished for themselves to be called so.
"Led by the common people, the world was slowly divided into two and became what you are familiar with now."
"But wh–"
"Fear."
Said Silver instinctively, before she could finish.
"It is only because of fear."
