Synopsis
He pushed the freshly polished door, which had a bell attached to it. This immediately alerted the waiters of their presence. They rushed to Claude and the child's aide, showing them the nearest seat. Even though Claude and the child were dressed shabbily, they still showed great customer service. They received a menu but the child could not read. So Claude read out every single thing on the menu to the boy. The other customers found the father-son duo very appealing. The women squealed in their seats hoping he was single. The said he would eat whatever Claude had gotten since he was not a picky eater.

Chapter 1 - First Night

The times when kings dined with their Queens until the crows of the rooster could be heard. Mermaids were singing the desires of foolish seamen. Fairies conjuring the wishes of the highest bidders. Warlocks gave their vast knowledge to the kings of humans. Unfortunately, they no longer exist, well that's what I would've said in the past, but it's different now. The world took a wrong turn on its axis and turned back time.

Time had turned back by a couple of centuries, the times when kings reigned.

Dragons flew past the Gold Rose Palace, where the Emperor's wives resided. Each woman was adorned in the most intricately designed jewels from head to toe. However, the empress dressed like one of the handmaidens. But that's not because the emperor was cruel, he was very benevolent. His empress, Altrea Severus Rha Lyiones, simply refused to accept her situation. She was sold off by her greedy parents as a tribute to the war that had been going on for a century between the two nations. She felt hurt by their actions and pinned all her anger on her husband, the emperor.

The emperor who was known to be benevolent had a hidden dark side. He was well known for his fierceness during battles, leaving no enemies behind. That's how he gained the nickname, Sun God Emperor as he was the one who decided if you would see the next day. He had seven wives but he had never seen any of them after their weddings. He was a busy man with no free time.

A few months had idly passed, and no major events had transpired in the Empire of Lyiones. And because of this, the ministers complained to the emperor about getting an Heir. They were worried about the mighty emperor's incredible bloodline dying with him. That was not a risk they could take. The ministers plotted together and made sure the emperor had time to visit his Empress and Queens without disturbance for a whole week.

Each day he would spend the day with one wife. On the first day, he spent his time with Queen Nyx Rha Lyiones of the black elf tribe. She was his first chosen bride as they had a connection. She couldn't become Empress because of her low status in the world of nobles which pained him dearly. They had gone out hunting together and she caught him a black jaguar. Her marksmanship was on par with his.

They indulged in chocolate cake for high tea. This was a secret favourite of his that only she knew. She had won over his heart a thousand times over but he couldn't reveal it. She was one of his weaknesses and that was something he could never afford to have. They chatted about the current state of affairs within the empire. Her opinions and arguments helped enlighten him with a problem he had been failing to solve. Claude was very grateful to her and thanked her sincerely. Nyx dragged her chair next to his so that she could deepen their bond as she felt the distance between them was creating a barrier. If the court ladies had seen this, they would have gotten a heart attack.

After spending many moments together, the moon finally made its way to the stage. The ministers made plans to make sure that everything went well. Queen Nyx was bathed in a bath filled with milk and roses to amplify her natural scent. She was robbed in a silky red nightgown which complimented her dusky skin. Her radiant purple eyes glimmered with excitement. The emperor, Claude de Alger Obelia Rha Lyiones, returned to his room without awareness of the minister's cunning plot.

Queen Nyx made her way to his royal quarters with her court ladies in tow. Her pace increased with each passing moment as she couldn't keep her excitement contained. The women behind her were becoming breathless because the exercise wasn't something they did very often. She finally made it to his room and her ladies were nowhere to be seen. She had accidentally left them behind but she had not realized that. She gently pushed the massive mahogany door which was plated in Gold. The average human wouldn't be able to push this themselves because it weighed almost fifty kilograms. The emperor did not want normal people to enter his room, he was a private man. As she turned around to close it behind her, she collided with a hard object which felt like a wall. She was startled as nothing was there when she opened the door. She let out a sharp moan when a dagger was placed to her neck.

Her heart raced with exhilaration because she had not been in a fight ever since she entered the royal palace. Her eyes glowed iridescently as she performed a bit of magic and jumped into the shadows. She popped up from behind the perpetrator and put them in a headlock. It hadn't worked efficiently because the person didn't seem to lose energy. Then it hit her like a brick in the face.

"Claude?" she whispered

She immediately jumped off him and blushed a little bit. He had been in between her legs. Claude chuckled lightly at the little friendly spar they just had. Her eyes grew dull because of the embarrassment of the event that had just occurred. Claude gently lifted her face up and vocalized "I'm sorry mi amore, I thought you were an intruder. Seeing you like this is very unnatural for me."

her cheeks brightened up a little. She had always been seen as a strong warrior from the days she was living in the dark elf forest. Right now she was vulnerable in front of the man she loved. Her emotions were very hectic. Nyx then recalled the tails of what her maids had told her. Maids had a tendency to gossip a lot although their advice was exceptional. She did the very first thing she was taught. She passionately kissed the emperor with all her might and he led the way.
