"Mathew your free to leave after you finish your case " yelled the captain as he rushed out the door "such a moron sometimes I wonder what he would do without us" chuckled Martha as she cleaned and organized his desk. The offices were very busy as of late the constant walking by the assistants, the broken coffee machine in the back, constant laughter from the guards on duty not to mention the smell of sweat from the gym. to Mathew this was the place that he called home loosing his mom back in junior high then his dad five years latter he finished school and went to become a special agent he traveled for the next tree years before moving to jack wood for his final case. "retiring at 28 wish I was that lucky only thing left is for you to find a girlfriend ahh I almost forgot you scared the away what was it again Mr. Reaper the slayer of love" said Laurence prancing around Mathews office teasing him " it was one girl and she moved away no move your lazy ass out my office if your not hear for the relationship advice" replied Mathew as he packed his bag and sat in his chair with his coffee cup held high both of them laughed as he left for his office stopping at the door to call him Mr. Reaper one last time before he disappeared round the corner Mathew then turned around in his chair and looked up at the mirror only to see his slender handsome face with his bright golden eyes and short midnight hair he dragged his hood over his face and dozed away it was sun set bye the time he woke up he grabbed his bag and rushed out to he parking lot hopped into his bike and struggled to find his keys it too k him a minute to find them after he did he started on his trip no more work no house no family just him and the road he soon stopped a few miles out side of the town to sleep at the in due to the rain clouds he saw drifting across the sky "that will be 30 dollar's for tonight and the meal your room is number 67b second floor" with a smile that said it all " ahh one more thing if you need anything just call the maids are quiet busy most of the time" smiling back Mathew chuckled and turned towards her "sure thing by the way you might want to prepare your self not all people are as nice as me thanks for the offer by the way" as he turned and walked up the step towards the room leaving her with a smile on her face and a warm feeling in her chest he opened the door and closed it behind him then leaped onto the bed wrapped him self in a sheet as the out side world washed itself the aroma of freshly wet dirt filled the air as the sound of thunder and rain placed him to sleep his last thought only said good night to the world.
