Chapter 1 - An Alternative Dimension

When I was a child I always dreamed of being a hero, just like the ones in the fairytales my mother used to read to me as a child, as long as I can remember my mother read fairy tales.

As the sun peeked into the morning clouds, Mya woke up and looked out the window in her bedroom. Hoping that today will be different from the previous days. Mya slowly got out of bed she sat there and thought to herself, "I wonder if dad will even remember it's my birthday." as she thinks to herself she feels an overwhelming amount of sadness but tells herself that he will remember this year.

As mya gets up and opens her door ready to greet her father on her special day she sees her dad rushing around the house. "Maybe he's rushing around waiting for me to wake up, maybe he has a surprise party planned," Mya tells herself as she starts to get excited. She watches her father rush around for a few more minutes until he notices her watching him, "morning Mya, I'm late for a meeting I'll be gone for a while." Mya's father was going through a briefcase that was set on a small table in the hallway. Mya stared at him as she felt that excitement drip away, "You're leaving, now?" "Yes I am, I left money on the kitchen island for you," Mya's dad told her without even looking her in the eyes. Mya looked at the floor in discouragement and disbelief that her father had forgotten her birthday, once again. I mean how can she be surprised that this happens every year, "oh ok.." That was the last thing Mya had said before her father rushed out the door. Mya doubts that he even heard.

Mya stared at the door feeling all alone, "of course, he'd forget, all he cares about is work." Mya thought as she slowly walked over to the island table and looked at the money her father had left for her. "At least he left me some money," Mya's phone rang violently. Mya looked at her phone and saw it was her mother calling her, she looked at the phone for a while as it vibrated in her hand. After a while, she decided to answer the phone, "Hey mom what's up." The cheerful voice of her mother answered "Hey Sweety mind if I stop by?" Mya felt happy hearing her mother's voice, " No, I don't mind at all." "Ok Mya I'll see you soon," Mya's mom said Excitedly before hanging up. As her mother hung up mya felt so happy that she won't be alone on her birthday. She walked over to the couch and watched tv while waiting for her mother to arrive.

The lock on Mya's door twisted and clicked as the door handle moved mya's mom walked through with bags hanging across her arms. Mya walked over to her mom, very excited to see her but she wasn't sure why she wanted to come over. "Hey mom, why did you want to see me?" Her mother looked at her surprised that she had to ask but even though she was surprised she smiled and walked over to the island table and put her bags down. "Well for starters, it is your birthday and I wanted to wish you a happy one," Mya's mother said with a gorgeous smile. Mya's face lit up hearing that she remembered, but moments later her face dropped to a gloomy state, "at least someone remembered..," Mya mumbled while looking at the ground. Mya's mother looked at her and her expression became a sad one, "So your father forgot again, I'm sorry sweety." desperate to lighten the mood mya's mother made a slight joke, "well your father has always been like that, that's why I divorced him." she added with a small giggle at the end. Mya looked at her mother feeling a little bit better, "I know mom"

After a few moments of silence Mya's mother thought of something that might lighten the mood completely. "Well anyways I brought gifts," Mya's mother exclaimed as she attempted to salvage the day. Mya looks at her mother with curiosity and a small smile, "you know you didn't have to, you being here is all I could've hoped for." Mya's mother places her hand on Mya's cheek and smiles sweetly, "I know but this was very important to me when I was your age and I think you can use it now more than ever." Mya looks at her mother as her curiosity rises by the second. Mya reaches her hands into the bag and slowly starts to pull out a book. The book looked like a classic fairytale story. It had gold lettering on the title, it also had a picture of a castle in the background with a group of people on the cover. Mya looked at her mother confused, "a fairytale, like the ones you used to read to me as a kid?" Mya's mother smiled at her, "not quite it's special." Mya looks at her mom even more confused, "how?" "Never mind that now, you'll figure it out with time but for now how about we watch a movie?" Mya's mother said as she directed Mya over to the couch. Mya spent the rest of her day with her mother, wondering what could be so special about that storybook...

(Chapter 2)

"Well mya it was nice seeing you today, and happy birthday," Mya's mom told mya as she was heading out the door, Mya closed the door behind her. Mya couldn't stop thinking about that book and what her mom meant by, "it's special." All she knew is that she had to find out, she needed to satisfy her curiosity. Mya slowly made her way over to the book, the book was laying on the island counter just as she left it. Mya picked up the book and looked at it "I wonder what mom meant when she said that it's special." Mya decided to take the book to her room and look through it in a more comfortable place.

Mya was flipping through all the pages in the book and reading all the sentences and paragraphs that the book contained. Mya stared at it blankly, "It's just an ordinary book." After reading the book Mya felt a bit saddened that she was always alone and the world she lived in was nothing like a fairytale. Mya slowly laid back on her bed and looked at the ceiling. "I wish I lived in a world like that," Mya said to herself out loud while feeling in despair. Just as she was ready to close her eyes and drift off to sleep in the world of her dreams, the book started to glow bright yellow.

Mya sprung up and instantly let go of the book out of pure shock, as she did the book started to float there while glowing. "W-What's happening," Mya stuttered in shock at what was going on right in front of her eyes. "I must be dreaming, yeah that's probably it," Mya pinched herself just to be sure but nothing happened, now mya was even more surprised. Mya walked closer to the book. She wanted to touch the book and find out for herself what was going on. As Mya reached out to touch the book, The book stopped glowing and for a few moments, it felt like time had stopped. Just then the book opened and the pages were flipping at the fastest speed imaginable. Mya shielded her face as the book suddenly stopped right in the middle of the book.

As Mya tried to get a closer look at the book, the book suddenly started to glow again. This time the glow was coming from the middle of the book. Just as Mya got close enough to look at the book, A man's torso appeared out of the book. In a surprising state, Mya fell backward and landed on the floor, She looked up at this man. He didn't look like a normal man. He had a long white beard and was bald, he had no wrinkles and gems that lined his shoulders and neck; the gems were gold, silver, and Amethyst. As mya sat there in shock she was able to get out a small number of words, "W-what happened and who are you!?"

The man stared at Mya as if she had disturbed him, "I am the keeper of the book, you can think of me as a genie of sorts." Mya stared at the strange man blankly and slowly started to calm down. "So you can grant wishes then," Mya asked still with a shaky voice. The man looked at her and had an irritated expression, as he was about to answer mya saw his expression change to a calmer one, "No, I only grant one type of wish." Mya looked at him with curiosity, "and what type of wish is it?" The man smiles at her with a cheeky look in his eye, "A wish that allows you to live in a different reality, you see I can send my finder to any land or universe."

"So can I go somewhere else," mya asked with a sad look on her face looking at the ground. The man smiles again but this time it's a soft comforting smile, "Yes, I can take you to a land that your heart desires just take my land." The man held out his hand to her, the palm of his hand was glowing a soft blue color. Mya looks at his hand while she holds hers close to her chest, Mya hesitantly reaches her hand out to his and grabs his hand. Just as she grabbed his hand a large amount of yellow light came shooting out at mya, after that all that mya could see now was darkness as her thoughts faded away and her mind went blank.

(chapter 3)

Mya slowly opens her eyes, everything that she sees is blurry. As she slowly sits up her vision goes back to normal, she looks around her but all she can see is a forest with beautiful cherry blossom trees and lovely daisies on the ground around her. She felt at peace but she still found herself wondering, "where am I?" As Mya thought, she slowly stands up and looks down at her clothing. She was wearing a medieval-style dress with beautiful purple fabric, her shoes were white flats and her hair was in a headband braid with two strands of hair out in the front that seemed curled.

"Woah this is so cute, and surprisingly comfortable it does look like something from the past though," Mya said out loud while admiring her new wardrobe change. Mya looked around curiously "wait, am I in the past!" Mya started to freak out now knowing what to do. "Hey, genie!" Mya started shouting hoping that he would appear and help her. Just as Mya's hopes began to shatter a small light appeared and the genie appeared within. his arms were crossed as he stood in an irritated pose, "I have a name you know!" Mya stared at him blankly "then what is your name?" The genie's face became calmer and he looked happy that she had asked, "My name is Ralph."

Mya looked at Ralph trying not to burst out laughing, her face looked like a grape from holding in her laughter. "Ralph?" Mya asked while letting out a small chuckle. Ralph looked at her and let out a small smile. He seemed to be amused with how mya reacted to his name, "yes, now what did you need?" Mya drew her focus back on the topic she had forgotten moments ago, "am I in the past?" Ralph looked at mya, "no, you're on a different planet similar to earth but closer to the reality that you desire." "What's this planet called," mya asked curiously. Ralph looked delighted with mya's curious nature, "Caley." Mya smiled but moments after her smile started to fade, "can I go home?"

Ralph looked saddened that mya was going against her true heart, "Yes, if you want to go home." Mya looked at her feet, "Can I go home now." In a last attempt to help mya he asked, "are you sure that's what you want or would you like to discover this planet's secrets?" Mya's face lights up once again, mya looks at the trees "I want to explore." Mya's face lights up as a big smile emerges across her face. Mya's feet start moving on their own as she runs through the forest letting the wind sweep across her face. As mya emerges from the forest she sees a man wearing heavy armor holding a sword at what seemed to be the entrance gate to a beautiful village surrounded by cherry blossoms. All the buildings looked like they came right out of ancient japan.

Mya slowly approached the man with a friendly smile on her face, "hello." The man turned to look at her and his face showed pure terror. Mya looked at him confused, she felt worried, what was the reason he was looking at her like that? He looked at her like she was dead. The man grabbed mya's arm, "Young lady get inside quickly!" Mya, a little shocked and frightened, yanked her arm out of the old man's grip. "Why should I go inside?" Mya asked, confused. The man saw that she was frightened, and he calmly lowered his voice, "Because they could get you." Mya looked at the man even more confused, "who?" Just as she asked, another man jumped out of the trees from the opposite direction. He landed right in front of them, he was a gorgeous man he had dreamy red eyes with black hair. He looked like a werewolf. He had an extremely fluffy-looking tail and ears mya just wanted to reach out and touch them. As the werewolf landed in front of them the man looked at him terrified and shrieked. The werewolf looked at mya with an evil smirk, "hello there pretty lady." The man turned his attention to mya, "please get inside young lady!" Mya startled by everything happening started sprinting towards the gate. Just as she started to run, the werewolf picked her up, "I don't think so." the werewolf flung her over his shoulder and jumped into the sky like he was flying. Mya terrified with tears in her eyes screamed, "I didn't come here to get kidnapped!"

(chapter 4)

As Mya slowly opened her eyes she looked around not knowing where she was, the room she was in was dark it only had one window on a slanted ceiling. It was dark outside, "how long was I asleep for," mya asked herself. She noticed some light coming from the bottom of a staircase. Mya tried to move towards it, but as she did she noticed that she was tied to a chair and couldn't move. She had little to no energy but knew she had to get out of there. Mya moved around trying to get out of the ropes. A man appears from the shadows, this man was different from the one that took her. He had blonde hair and green eyes but he was also a werewolf, he reminded her of a golden retriever. "I see you're finally awake," the man said with a soft voice that felt harmless. Mya was still scared of the situation, even if he seemed harmless doesn't mean he is.

Mya looked around aimlessly, "who are you, and where am I!" The man slowly walked towards her with a concerned look on his face. "My name is Mark," he said in a soft voice. Mya looked at him and she still needed to confirm that he was a good person, "you're not the one that kidnapped me." Mark's face turned into a joyful smile as he started to laugh like she had made a really funny joke. "No I'm not, that would be rouge he's a bit headstrong," Mark smiled as he told her. Mya looked at him, she had one more test to see if he was as nice as he seemed, "can you untie me." Mark looked at her and smiled, "of course, I can." Mark walked over and untied all the ropes.

Mya started rubbing her wrist and smiled, just as she was about to thank Mark, another man came running up the stairs in a fit of rage. It was the same man that kidnapped her, Mya put her guard up ready for anything. "Mark, why are you untying the prisoner," Rouge yelled in a fit of rage. Mya looked over at Mark and saw him standing in a scared position with his tail between his legs and ears down. "She's not a prisoner Rouge," Mark yelled back in a shaky voice. Rouge looked at mya with a disgusted face, "of course she was with the humans, she is a human!" Mark looked at him, mya could tell Mark was starting to get more confident in the argument, "yes, but she's not a warrior!" Mya looked at them both confused, "I wonder why they keep saying the word human, I know they're werewolves but do humans and werewolves not get along on this planet," mya thought to herself." for the first time it clicked in mya's head, they are werewolves they have cute ears and are scary sometimes. Mya looked at them both with sparkling eyes, "Oh my god! You guys are werewolves. I've only read about you before, you're so cute!"Mark looked at mya confused and Rouge looked at her irritated. Rouge started to approach mya aggressively.

(Chapter 5)

"What do you mean you've only read about us before," rouge yelled into mya's face. Rouge looked irritated as he put one hand on the back of the chair behind her. Mark looked at mya with a calm face as he walked in front of mya, "have you been living under a rock for the last thousand years?" Mya turned all her attention to Mark and completely zoned out rouge, "what do you mean?" Mya showed all the confusion she felt on her face. Mark looked at her as he slowed down his speaking voice, "well, for the past thousand years all races have been at war." "What do you mean all the races, are you trying to say there's more than just humans and werewolves," Mya asked as she looked at the two boys extremely surprised.

Rouge looked at her and changed his tone as if he was talking to a toddler, "yeah there are 5 races, there used to be 6 and that's what started this war." Rouge said that as mya saw his face drop, as she looked over at Mark his face dropped as well. "Well what happened to the sixth race," mya asked, trying to figure out what made them so upset talking about something that happened long before they were alive. Rouge looked at her with a saddened face, slowly Rouge's face went from sad to stern, "we can't tell one story without telling the others."

"Long ago there were 6 races, the humans, werewolves, Neko's, Elf, Demons, and Last of all the mages. The mages were the most loved and powerful race, they could weld any type of magic where as the other races could only weld one type or none. All the different races had gotten along, especially the leaders. The leaders were the best of friends. Unfortunately, all that changed one day when the leader of the mages was murdered by one of their closest friends. After that happened the mages wanted revenge and tried to find out who killed their beloved leader. In the end, they found who did it, but they caught them by surprise and in a single night wiped out every single mage. Since no mage was left alive no one knows who did it. After the mages died all of the remaining races couldn't trust those who they once had called their best friends. As a last resort, a human brought 5 of the mage's legendary spell books. The humans wanted to keep the books all to themselves but the other races wanted them too, so the werewolf leader ended up taking the books and giving one to everyone except the humans instead they gave the extra book to the elves. In a fit of rage, the humans declared war on everyone. At the end of the day, all the races ended up turning on each other. To this day everyone thinks that the humans somehow were able to kill the mages," Rouge told mya the whole story with a saddened face. Mya looked at the rogue with tears in her eyes, "that's horrible." Mark looks at Mya with a saddened smile, "it is I wish there was still a mage that could destroy the books and end the war."

(chapter 6)

Mya sitting on the couch in the werewolf's living room, the space looked very clean. It was a very spacious home with an open floor plan. Mya sat on the couch rubbing her wrist which had red marks from the ropes. Rouge looked at mya and walked over with a remorseful look on his face but he seemed to still be on guard, "sorry about tying you up I guess," Rouge looked away and pouted embarrassed. Mark smiles, "excuse him, he doesn't know how to apologize." Mya lets out a small giggle and smiles, "it's fine, my dad doesn't know how to apologize either. Now that I think about it he never apologizes." Mya sat there quiet and it looked like she was thinking intensely.

Mark walked over to mya and sat on the couch next to her, "so how is it you never heard of the race's history?" Mya looks at him blankly and then suddenly her face lights up like a light bulb, "oh that's because I'm not from this world!" Mark and Rouge both look at mya then look at each other it's obvious they think she's got a few screws loose. Just then they hear the door open and in walks a tall man with silver hair and lovely purple eyes. "Hey guys I'm back and I brought some food," the man said while he pulled out a small bowl of berries. The man stared at mya, "hello there." Mya looked at him, "hi, are you guys brothers, if you are you are the prettier brother I see." Mya giggles and looks at rouge and mark they looked frozen with their mouths wide open. The man laughs, "I think you broke them" Mya looks at the man nervously, "I think so too." The man put the bowl on the kitchen table. He walked over to rouge and pepper sprayed him. Rouge closed his eyes in pain, "What the Hell man!" The man walked over to Mark and did the same thing. Mark closed his eyes crying, "that hurt Lex!" Mya looks at the man, "so your name is Lex?"

Lex looks at mya and nods, mya looks at them all with a curious look, "so do you all live together?" Rouge looks at mya and replies to her question with a look of annoyance and a scruffy voice, "we're kinda like brothers but we're not blood-related." Mya looks at them and smiles, "So you're pretty much best friends then." "We prefer the term brothers," Mark told mya in a calm yet sweet voice. Mya giggles, "alright, brothers it is then." "So why were you guys so quiet when I walked in," Lex asked the rest of them. Rouge sighed in disbelief, "she said she's from a different world." Lex laughs, "you know she's just messing with you." Mark butt in, "but she made us explain the history of the races!" Lex looks at Mark with a smirk, "so?"

" It's true," Mya shouted defensively. Lex looks at mya and laughs a bit, "so you're telling me you're from another world?" Mya gets annoyed feeling like she has to prove herself to these people, "another world another reality another planet whatever you want to call it!" "I don't believe you," Lex said with a stern look on his face. Mya looks over to Mark and rouge. Mark and Rouge both look at each other. "Do you want proof," Mya blurted out, unsure if she had any. Lex seemed to be able to read her like a book, with a smirk he said, "Yes I'd love that." Mya looked nervous, "if you insist." Lex smiled and teased her, "what are you going to do to summon a spirit?" all of the boys looked like they were holding in a laugh. "Something like that," Mya replied. Lex looked at her smirking like he knew she'd make a fool of herself. Mya had to prove him wrong. Mya took a deep breath, "Ralph!" as Mya screamed a book appeared. The book was glowing yellow color, Mya's face lit up knowing that she could prove them wrong. Ralph appears out of the book, "yes mya, what do you need?" all three of the boys look at Mya and Ralph in disbelief.

(chapter 7)

"So you're a mage," lex asks hesitantly. Mya quickly answers, "No!" almost at the same time Ralph answers as well, "yes." Mya turns all her attention to Ralph, "what do you mean yes, I'm human last time I checked." Mya changes her pose into a sassy position, she puts her hands on her hips and all her weight on one leg. Ralph looks away like he's afraid of conflict, "well in this world you are." Mya sits there and stares at Ralph for a while, "how is that even possible?" Ralph looks at Mya and gives an adorable old man smile, "because you have me, Mya."

Mya sighs, "well I guess I'm a mage then." Mark looks at Mya blankly and without thinking he blurts out, "you don't look like a mage." Rouge looks at Mark and rolls his eyes, "no one looks like a mage." Lex looks at Mya, "wait your name's, Mya?" "Is that seriously what you're getting out of this conversation?" Mya asked, irritated. Lex looks at mya and stutters a little bit, "no I'm just having a little trouble processing this conversation." Mark laughs, "ya Lex just has a certain set of beliefs, and well." "You just shattered them," Rouge butted in smirking as if he enjoyed the confusion. "What kind of beliefs," Mya asked curiously. Mark sat there and thought for a moment, "well like gravity makes things fall." "and mages went extinct," Rouge adds.

"Well anyways who's that?" Lex asked as he pointed at Ralph. Mya and Ralph look at each other. Mya smiles, "oh that's Ralph he's my genie." Ralph smiles and does a small bow, "it's a pleasure to meet you." Mark gets excited you could almost see sparkles in his eyes, "wow a real genie!" Rouge looks at Ralph, "your name is Ralph, seriously." Ralph crosses his arms, "why does everyone say that!" Lex walks up to Mya, "are genies that common in your reality?" Mya smiles and lets out a small laugh, "no not at all, I had a similar set of beliefs until I met him." Lex sits on the couch and looks at Mya, "how did you meet him?" Mya sat there for a moment trying to think of the perfect way to explain it, "my mom gave me a book and while I was reading it I wished to live in another world and Ralph appeared." "Are you stuck here?" Mark asked curiously. Mya smiles at Mark, "no, I can go home anytime I want." Rouge looks at mya with a grumpy face, "then why don't you." Rouge said those words so coldly it sent shivers down Mya's spine, "Because I want to help this world and I'm a mage here which is pretty interesting." Mya said with a stern face. Lex looks at mya curiously, "so if you're a mage does that mean you can use magic?" Mya stares at them with a blank face unsure if she could.

(Chapter 8)

Mya sat there biting her nails mumbling to herself. "I think you broke her," Rouge told lex as lex looked at mya nervously. Lex with a sorrowful face, "you think." Mark walks up to mya and puts his hand lightly on her shoulder and shakes her slightly, "Mya." Mya snaps out of it and looks at Mark and smiles, "yes mark?" Mark looks down nervously, "are you ok?" Mya smiles at Mark and turns all of her attention to him like she was talking to a little sibling, "yes, it's just hard for me to believe I have magic." Lex rolls his eyes and mumbles, "yeah, and it was hard to believe that you were a mage." Mya agrees, "mhm." Rouge walks up to mya, "how about we see what you can do?" Mya looks up at Rouge nervously, "like as in magic!?" Rouge looks at mya and rolls his eyes, "no, I want to see how long you can cartwheel for. Yes, magic idiot." Mya looks at Rouge irritated, "ok but where should we do it." Lex smiles, "how about the attic. Rouge looks at Lex and thinks for a second, "it is pretty empty up there." Mya looked at lex, "sounds good to me."

The attic was full of dust and creepy Mya hadn't gotten a good look at it until now. Mya takes a deep breath, "oh here goes nothing." Mya puts her hand out in front of her and she closes her eyes tightly desperately trying to make something happen. Mya opens one eye to see if she created any magic, only to reveal that she did nothing, after seeing that mya opened both of her eyes in disappointment, "Nothing is happening." Mark, trying to cheer her up, smiles and gives her some advice, "maybe try to imagine what you want to happen?" Mya looks at Mark with a disappointed face, "I did that." Lex looked discouraged, "if you can't even cast normal spells how do you expect to destroy the 5 magic books?" Mya turns her attention to lex confused, "destroy, why?"

" You said you wanted to help this reality," Lex asked mya. Mya looked even more confused, "yes?" Lex smiled but his face still showed discouragement, "the only way to do that is to destroy the books." Mya looks at him curiously, "what happens if someone gets ahold of all the books and tries to use the power?" "They can bend the world to their control," Rouge told Mya in a depressed voice. Mark chips in, "it doesn't help that you don't even have to be a mage to use the books." Mya has a worried look on her face, "that's bad." "You think," Lex chips in sarcastically. Rouge in an irritated voice, "why do you think the leaders wouldn't let the humans have them." Mya looks at the floor, "how am I supposed to destroy them if I can't even use simple spells?" Lex is visibly upset because he feels defeated, "you can't just go home." Rouge walks over to Lex and puts a hand on his shoulder, "Lex, don't be so hasty." Lex turns around to look at Rouge, "she can't help us, Rouge." Mark looks at them like a newborn puppy that is lost, "She can't leave, she's our friend now!" Mya watching this whole conversation about her, felt a need to say something, "I can still try and help!" Lex looks away, "maybe your genie was mistaken, you're not a mage." Rouge rolls his eyes, "enough lex." Lex looks at Rouge irritated, "why do you care." Rouge looks annoyed, "because the mages weren't born knowing how to use magic, they were taught." Lex looked at Rouge blankly, "your point?" Rouge puts his hand on his head, "you are dense sometimes, Lex." Lex irritated even more, "I'm the smart one." Rouge grabs a map from a nearby self and places it flat on a table as he points to an area on the map, "we're going to travel to the mage's ancient library."

(Chapter 9)

"You're joking right?" Lex asked, shocked at what Rouge was proposing. Mark looks at Rouge terrified, "please be joking, Rouge." Rouge looks at them with a straight face, "I'm not, and if we want to save our world we're going to need her to learn magic." Lex looks at Rouge with an angry face, "and what if we get there and she's still useless!" Mark, not liking the conflict, tries to butt in, "be nice Lex." Mya watches as the boys fight, she feels irritated that they're talking about her like that. Right in front of her, "you know I'm still here, right?" as mya said that the boys just continued their conversation completely ignoring her. This just made mya even more irritated. Rouge looks at Lex trying to prove his point, "the genie seemed pretty sure." "So what if the genie seemed pretty sure, I'm not going to risk my life over some silly girl!" Lex yelled back at Rouge.

"Fine I guess I'll go without you then," rouge replied with a smug look on his face. Mark looked torn between them, "I'll go too!" Lex looked at them both dumbfounded, "are you two crazy?" Mark looked at Lex nervously, "I'm not leaving Rouge to do it all alone, also Mya is my friend now." Mark fidgets as he explains his point. Lex defeatedly, "fine I'll go too but if we die I'm going to haunt her." Rouge looks at Lex with a questioned look, "even if she's dead too?" Lex answered quickly, "yes." Mya looks at all of them still irritated, "sorry to interrupt but why are you all freaking out over going to some library?"

Lex sighed, "the mages didn't want anyone reading their history or knowing their spells but them, so they built their library at the end of a 2-mile-long cliff." Mya looked at them and shrugged, "it could be worse." Rouge raised his eyebrows and smiled. He looked excited to scare her, "the cliff gives you a foot of walking room." Mya looked at Rouge with a blank face, the face turned into a nervous smile, "You're joking right?" Lex smiles feeling bad that she looked scared, in an attempt to make her feel better he tells her, "it's not a joke, but at least the walk until that point is easy." Mya looked down, "yay>" she sarcastically said. Rouge looked at Mya up and down, "I don't think you'll be able to travel in that dress and those shoes." Mya looked at Rouge a bit surprised that he noticed something like that, "Ralph!" Mya calls out. The book suddenly appears with Ralph popping out, "yes mya?" Mya smiles, "could you please give me some of my clothes?" "Of course," Ralph said with a smile as he put his hands in the air and a new outfit appeared in mya's hands. Mya was holding a pair of baggy jeans with rips on the knees, and a white shirt with red flannel. Ralph smiles at mya, "will that be everything?" "Yes Ralph, thank you," Mya said, smiling at Ralph as he disappeared in a ball of light. Lexed looked surprised, "do you ever get used to that." Mya smiles and lets out a small laugh, "no, never anyways I'm going to change now." Rouge looks at mya with a serious face, "do you need any help changing?" Mya looks at Rouge with an irritated face, "I'm going to change now, alone." The boys nodded and Rouge looked embarrassed.

(Chapter 10)

As they walked through the dark forest Mya found herself getting more and more nervous as the time passed by. They have already been walking in the forest for hours. Mya fidgeting with her hands getting antsy, "is it too late to go back?" Mark looks back at Mya just as nervous, "unfortunately." Lex smirks, "Mya, you said you wanted to help, are you changing your mind?" Mya looks down a bit embarrassed, "of course not, I still want to help, it's just I'm a little scared of heights." Lex looks at mya and starts to blush. As mya makes eye contact with Lex, he quickly turns away, "I'll make sure you don't fall if that makes you feel any better." Mya looks at Lex and smiles a little bit as her cheeks begin to turn a cherry red color, "that makes me feel a lot better, thank you, Lex."

Rouge keeps walking down the long path in front of everyone leading the way. The further they get into the forest and the more he hears Lex and Mya's conversation the more visibly irritated he becomes, "will you two stop flirting already." Mya and Lex stop their conversation and turn their attention to Rouge. Mya looks at Rouge flustered, "We're not he's just being nice to me and I'm being nice back." "Why do you think we're flirting?" Lex asked flustered. Mark quietly chimes in, "well Lex, you're acting a lot more friendly to her than before." Rouge rolls his eyes, "you did call her useless and all." "and," Lex says, annoyed. Mark nervously fidgets, "well it's rude." Mya listening to the conversation realizing they're making fair points, "that's true."

Lex hastily replies, "well I'm making up for it now!" Mya looks at Lex with a confused look on her face, "why?" Lex looked frustrated as he looked around the forest frantically, "well because you're trying to help us, and you're a nice person I see that now." Lex went quiet for a moment and looked to the ground, "I was also stressed when you couldn't use magic, I'm sorry about that." Mya smiled at Lex warmly, "it's ok Lex." Rouge suddenly stopped making everyone ram into each other. Mark looked up, "why'd we stop?" "we're here, " Rouge said in a dark and almost frightening voice. Mya looked around everyone, at the cliff as she felt herself getting more nervous by the second. Lex looks at mya and places his hand on her shoulder, "It's ok mya I'm here remember." Mya looked back at Lex and smiled at him feeling a little more at ease. Rouge started to make towards the cliff, "let's get going."

(Chapter 11)

They all slowly make their way onto the cliff. Mya hesitates to make her way onto the cliff with everyone else. Lex notices Mya's hesitation and reaches his hand out to her. Mya reluctantly grabs his hand and slowly walks onto the cliff. They all slowly inch their way to the other side. The cliff was thin with barely anywhere to place your hands. It was difficult to hold onto the cliff without falling, every step they took some pieces of the cliff crumbled off and fell. Mark, who was behind Rouge, was terrified. He had tears in his eyes and he was shaking so much that It almost made the cliff itself fall apart, "are we almost there." Rouge sighs as he inches on, "no we just started." Rouge looked at Lex and mya that barely got onto the cliff, "are you two coming or not?" Lex smiles at mya helping her hold onto the cliff, "see it's ok Mya." Mya looks at Lex nervously, " I take it you're not scared of heights." as lex and Mya inch their way over to the other lex smiles at mya and lets out a small giggle, "not in the slightest."

Rouge in a grumpy tone, "Just breathe Mya." Mya smiles and makes a sarcastic remark, "I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me, Rouge." As they continued to inch across the cliff, the cliff seemed to get thinner and thinner. Lex lets out a small laugh, "are you warming up to her Rouge?" Rouge rolls his eyes, "no." Mark, still shaking, had streams of tears running down his eyes, "are we almost there, now?" Rouge sighs, "no we're not even close." everyone inches their way a little bit at a time. Mya slowly looked down and noticed how far it was. As mya looked down she felt her body start to shake as her whole body filled with fear and her eyes filled with tears, "that's a long way down."

Lex quickly notices Mya crying, "Mya don't look down, just focus on our conversion." Rouge seeing this lets out a laugh, "you and mark are like twins." Mya and Mark at the same time scream, "shut up Rouge!" Lex smirks at Rouge, "they sure did tell you." Rouge Rolls his eyes, "we just hit the halfway mark." Lex smiles and looks at mya, "Mya don't worry, I won't let you fall, remember." Mya smiles and feels herself calming down a little bit, "I trust you, Lex." Rouge irritated, "I wouldn't." Mya turns her attention to rouge and in a sassy voice and says, "why shouldn't I." Rouge sighs, "because you just met us."

"So what I already know a decent amount about you all, " Mya irritatedly explains. Rouge starts to inch across the cliff a little faster, "and, we did kidnap you." Mya is upset by Rouge arguing with her, "no, you kidnaped me." Rouge rolls his eyes, "whatever I don't owe you an apology." Mya with a bunch of sass, "you really should apologize though." Rouge laughs, "that's funny coming from the girl who was scared and crying a minute ago." Mya got reminded that she was on a cliff, she looked down and all the fear rushed back to her as she clung to the wall. Lex looks at rouge with an upset face, "that was a low blow."

Mark looks back at Mya, "that was very mean Rouge, Mya are you alright." Mya smiles nervously, "I'm fine, are you alright mark?" Mark smiles back, "I'm doing the best I can." Rouge Sighs and rolls his eyes once again, "you're all a bunch of wimps." Mya looks at Rouge irritatedly, "why were you standing up for me earlier?" Rouge looks back at mya, "what do you mean." Mya was upset, "when lex called me useless earlier you stood up for me and you were nice to me." Rouge looks the other way, "I couldn't have you leaving before you destroyed the books." Mya looks at Rouge glaring, "so you were just trying to change lex's mind?" Rouge butts in, "and get you to stay." Mya looks away with eyes filled with tears, "unbelievable." Lex looks at Rouge angry, "Rouge you hurt her feelings!" Rouge kept inching up, "so what, by the way, we're almost there." they all reach the end of the cliff and one by one get off, mya is the only one still on the cliff. Lex smiles at mya and holds his hand out, "come on Mya." Mya reaches her hand out to grab his. Just as mya was about to grab Lex's hand, the cliff she was standing on started to crumble and mya slipped starting to fall. All the boys quickly turn around. Their eyes widen as they notice what's about to happen.

(Chapter 12)

A male's hand quickly reaches for mya and grabs her by the arm, Mya is relieved knowing that Lex kept his promise when he said he wouldn't let her fall. As the hand starts to drag her up to land she notices it wasn't Lex that caught her, it was Rouge. Mya looks up at Rouge surprised, "thank you for saving me." Rouge nods and quickly turns his back to her, "I didn't want to damage our ticket to ending the war." Lex turns to Rouge infuriated, "Don't be rude Rouge!" Mark ran over to Mya and knelt to help her up, "are you alright Mya?" Mya smiles at Mark, "Thanks to Rouge I'm alright, but he doesn't seem to care very much."

Lex sighs and looks at mya with a soft smile," Don't let it get to you, Rouge is always like that." Mya stands up slowly and walks over to lex, "why is he so cold I just want to be his friend." Lex smiles at Mya, it feels bitter-sweet, "we're your friends, Mya." "Stop your friendship hustle, let's go," Rouge shouted in a snappy tone. As they all walk to the library Lex speeds up a bit to get closer to Rouge. Lex looks over at Rouge, "what's wrong with you." "What do you mean," Rouge asked with a cold look. Lex looks at him with an irritated face, "you're never this cold to anyone." "Yes I am," Rouge firmly states.

Lex sighs, "You usually keep a safe distance but you never treat anyone how he treated you." Just as Lex said that it sent Rouge into a flashback from his childhood. All Rouge could see was him, as a small child terrified as his father was yelling at him and hitting him. As he cried in a small room covered in bruises. Rouge snapped out of the flashback and came to, he was more irritated than before, "so what!" Lex looked at Rouge with a concerned look, "why are you treating her like this?" "she only wants to help us," Lex added.

Rouge looked at Lex with a stern face, "I only trust you and mark." Lex looks down at the ground in despair, "Our Group might expand on this journey, I suggest you learn how to trust others." Lex walks ahead a small bit, letting Rouge reflect on what Lex had told him. As they all step foot in front of the library. Mya was amazed at how beautiful it was. The library was lined in gold and had beautiful pillars with spruce wood as the walls, and an archway as the front door. The archway had this strange yellow glow to it. The glow was also coming from all of the windows. Mya stepped closer to the library, "wow it's so beautiful." Rouge looks at Mya upset, "Let's just get what we need and leave." as Rouge said that a small girl walked out from behind one of the pillars.

The Girl had beautiful pink hair, she had pointy ears. She must've been an elf. She was wearing a beautiful green dress, with gold trim. Her hair was in braids and she had a gold headband. Her dress had off-the-shoulder sleeves. Overall she was all you'd expect an elf to look like. Rouge turned his attention to the small girl, "who are you!" The girl looked at Rouge with a fierce look in her eyes, "I'm the keeper of the library." Lex looked at the small girl with a confused expression, "why does the library need a keeper, it's already difficult enough to get here." The girl looked at Lex, "because some do manage to make their way here, like yourselves."

"I'm here to warn them of the dangers of trying to enter." The small girl proceeded to say. Rouge looked at the girl trying not to laugh and in a sarcastic voice he said, "Like what getting a paper cut." Rouge smirked thinking that what he said was so very clever. Mya walked over to Rouge, "be nice!" Mark looked at the girl and timidly asked, "what kind of dangers?" The girl looked at Mark, "if you try to enter you will die." Lex looked at the girl curiously, "how?" Rouge saw a chance to poke fun at the girl, and took it he sarcastically said, "will you kill us, I'm so scared." Rouge looked at the girl with a grin. The girl looked at Rouge and thought to herself, "what a jerk." Mya looked at ROuge irritated, "you're a horrible person Rouge." "I agree with the girl," the small girl added.

Rouge started to open his mouth but all he could get out was a single word, "I.." he quickly got interrupted by Lex, "shut up." "Now who's being rude," Rouge said as he turned to Lex. The small girl mumbled under her breath, "we were all thinking it." Mya, desperate to change the subject, "so how will we die if we try to enter?" The girl looked back at the library, "a long time ago the mages placed a spell on all the entrances so only mages could enter, if you tried to enter and weren't a mage you would instantly die." Mya walked up to the entrance and looked at it, "magic?" "Yes," the small girl replied. Mya slowly starts to step through it. All of the boys shout, "Mya!"

(Chapter 13)

Mya opens her eyes and is safely inside the library, "seems fine to me." The girl stares at mya in shock, "how is that even possible!" The girl looked over at the library defeatedly. She fell to the ground in shock, she couldn't believe what she had just witnessed. Rouge looked over to the girl, "it's possible because she took two steps, it's called walking." Rouge rolled his eyes in irritation. The girl frantically collects her words, "but only mages can enter, but she's human!" The girl's face just dropped for a moment in confusion as she looked back at the boys.

"Wait, has the war ended?" the small girl asked out of curiosity. Lex looked over at her, "no why?" The small girl looked even more confused, "because she's a human with three werewolves." Mark lets out a small laugh, "no, she's a mage, and we're friends." The girl's face dropped, "she's a mage!" "How is that even possible!" the girl looked at Mya as she shouted. Lex sighs, "she's from another world." The girl took that surprisingly well, "oh, so why is she here?"

Rouge rolls his eyes, "she can't use magic so she has to learn somehow. " "why," the girl asks with a blank face. "We're trying to end the war," Rouge replies in an irritated voice. The girl must've been a fast learner since she picks up fast, "so you're trying to destroy the books?" "Precisely," Lex added. The girl turned her attention towards Mya who was putting books into a bag, "hey girl!" Mya stops for a moment, "ya?" "take whatever you need!" the girl yelled back. Mya smiled, "thanks!" Mya continues stuffing books into her back as she notices a book glowing green in the corner.

(Chapter 14)

Mya stands up holding the bag that was overflowing with books, "what's that," Mya thought to herself. Mya slowly walks over to the glowing book. Mya slowly crouches down and picks up the book, "why is it glowing?" Mya wonders. Mya slowly opens the book as a huge green light shines on her face blinding her. The light slowly fades away, mya waits for a moment for her vision to come back. As her vision came back she investigated the book and quickly realized it was the elf's book. Mya quickly gets up excited to show this to everyone.

Mya quickly runs out with a big smile on her face. Rouge rolls his eyes, "took you long enough, can we leave now?" Lex turns his attention to Mya completely ignoring Rouge, "did you get everything you needed mya?" Mya does a quick look through her bag, "I think so." Rouge irritated, "did you just ignore me!" the girl smirks, " Yes they did." Mark let out a small laugh. Mya looks at Lex, "by any chance, was there any book, in particular, I needed to get?" "Yes, to destroy the books you need to master the four elements: earth, fire, water, and air," Lex told Mya

Mya looked at Lex confused, "why those?" Rouge rolled his eyes once again, "because they are the elements of the enchanted books." Mya looked through her bag once again, "well surprisingly I did get all those books, along with some basic spell ones." Rouge in an irritated tone, "good now let's go." Mya smirked, "oh ya, I also got the elves enchanted book."Everyone except the elf turned their attention to mya in shock. "How," Rouge asked surprised. The girl smiled, "oh ya I threw the book in there a while back because only mages can go in there." Mya looked at her, "that's smart." the girl smiled at mya, "thank you." "Alright then one down four to go," Rouge said with a smile on his face.

(Chapter 15)

Mya looked around at the surrounding area, "so how do we get out of here?" Rouge rolls his eyes, "the same way we came in." Rouge pointed over to the cliff. Mark looks over terrified, "no, no, no not again!" The girl walked over to Rouge with a smile, "I can help you with that." "Alright then help us," Rouge said while he crossed his arms. A small smirk slowly appeared on the girl's face, "I will if you let me join." Rouge looked even more irritated than ever, "The world would freeze over before I'd let that happen."

Mya and the girl both looked at Rouge and at the same time thought, "what a jerk." Lex notices the tension and tries to ease it by asking a question, "why do you want to join us?" The small girl looked at the ground, "well my ancestors protected this library and never left." "your point?" Rouge rudely interrupted. The girl slowly lifts her gaze from the ground, "I want to do something with my life, I want to help end this war."

Mark smiled, "I think we should let her join!" "No way!" Rouge shouted. Lex looked over to mya, "I think she should join too." Mya smiled up at Lex, "I agree." Mya turned her focus to the girl, "the more people the better." Mya held out her hand for the girl, "I'm Mya, behind me the nasty one is Rouge, the sweet one is Mark and the smart one is Lex. The girl takes Mya's hand, "I'm Lira." Mya looked at Lira with a big smile on her face, "welcome to the team Lira!"

(Chapter 16)

Rouge looked at Lira as he rolled his eyes, "so what's this plan of yours to get us out of here?" Lira smiled and looked at Rouge, "it's something only elves can do." Rouge smirked, "were you bluffing, if you were we're going to leave you here." Mya looked at Rouge, upset by how he was treating lira, "You know what's funny, I still rather stay with her for eternity than with you." Lex sighed knowing he'd have to pick a side, "Rouge she's one of us now we can't just leave her behind." Lex turned his attention to Mya, "and Mya don't get so defensive." Mya rolled her eyes. Lira looked at Mya and smiled, "Thank you for standing up for me." "Of course," Mya smiled back.

Lira looked at Rouge with an annoyed look on her face, "and for the record, I wasn't bluffing." Lira runs into a small house next to the library and then hurries back holding an egg. The egg was light green, forest green, and a baby purple color. Mark walked over to Lira, "what's that? It looks kinda like an egg." Lira looked at Mark and smiled, "it is an egg." "How will an egg help us leave," Mark asked curiously. Rouge walked closer and smiled as he licked his lips, "I think that egg will be more useful in my stomach." Mya looked at rouge angrily, "rouge if you don't stop insulting Lira I will hit you!" "Oh I'm so scared," Rouge mocked Mya. Lex finally had enough, "Rouge just shut up you're just wasting time." Mya smiled at Lex, "thank you lex."

Lex looked at Mya with a concerned look, "Mya, you seem very defensive of Lira, why?" Mya smiled sweetly, "well I know what it's like for someone to be rude to you for no reason, and I know I can stand up for myself but Lira seems kind of timid so I have her back!" Lira looked at Mya with tears in her eyes, "thank you, Mya." Mya walked over to Lira and put her hand on Lira's shoulder, "don't worry about it Lira, we're friends so I'll always have your back." Rouge rolled his eyes and walked away. "We're all your friends Lira," Mark said cheerfully. Lex nodded, "agreed." Rouge rolled his eyes again, "Well I'm not your friend." Mya glares at Rouge, "don't mind him, he only likes Lex and Mark." "Oh I see," Lira said in a sad tone.

"So how will an egg get us out of here," Mark said, trying to change the subject. Lira smiled at Mark, "the egg won't the creature inside it will." Rouge let out a small sarcastic laugh," so what, we have to wait for it to hatch?" Lira sheepishly looked at Rouge, "no." Lex looked at Lira and put a nice smile on his face once he noticed her manner, "so how does it work then?" Lira calms down as she sees Lex's smile, "as you know elves and demons are the only species on the planet that can use magic now." Mya looked at them confused, "wait so elves and demons can use magic?"

"Not as much as mages could but yes," Lira told Mya with a smile on her face. Mya smiled back, Lira looked like she was in deep thought, "demons can only use shadow magic and elves can use summoning magic." Mya had a disappointed look on her face, "so that's why you can't destroy the books?" Lira looked at Mya with a soft smile, "correct, Mages can use any type of magic but demons and elves are limited." "I would've thought you could use earth magic," Mya told Lira curiously. Lira looked at Mya confused, "why's that?" Mya thought about it for a moment, "well in your book the element is earth magic." Lira laughed a bit, "those books were originally the mage, remember." Mya laughed nervously, "oh ya." Lira smiled and looked at everyone, "well is everyone ready to get out of here?" Everyone except for Rouge shouted, "Yes!" Lira smiled, "alright then." Lira quickly threw the egg into the air.

(Chapter 17)

As the egg flew into the air it was covered in a green light, slowly cracks started forming on the shell. A bird-like creature emerged from the egg, the creature had leaves as wings and feathers the creature was entirely made out of nature. The creature slowly flew to the ground. Lira put her hand out as the creature put its face down for her to pet, "this is Ero my pet Lerd." Mya looked at Ero cautiously, "what exactly is he?" LIra looked at Mya blankly, "my pet Lerd." "I know but I mean what is a Lerd?" Mya asked while still keeping her distance.

"A Lerd is a bird-like creature made up of plants," Lira explained. Lex walked towards Ero, "is it only a thing in the elf territory?" Lira smiled as she continued petting Ero, "they used to be more popular before the war but now they only live in elf territory." Rouge looked at it in curiosity, "how do you have one if you've never left the library?" Lira smiled she felt happy that for once Rouge wasn't being rude, "well my ancestors all married someone that made it to the library, once they had a child my ancestors all sent their husband or wife into the elf village to buy an egg, they also gave them a ticket so they'd be welcomed into the elf territory."

Mya smiled with starry eyes, "wow that's a beautiful family history." Mark looked at Lira with a worried look on his face, "so your whole family is here, shouldn't you tell them you're leaving." "no," Lira quickly answered. Rouge looked at Lira and crossed his arms, "why would they not let you come, if so you should listen to them you aren't of any use to us." Mya glared at Rouge, "don't be rude!" Lira let out a sigh, "no I can't tell them because they're gone." Mark hesitantly asked, "what do you mean by gone?" Lira looked down, "they passed away." Mya walked over and put her hand on Lira's shoulder, "I'm so sorry for your loss Lira."

Lira smiled. It looked like a fake smile, "how about we get going now?" "It's about time," Rouge insensitively blurted out. Mya looked at Lira with a very concerned look, "before we go are you sure you want to come?" Lira looked Mya back with a determined look, "absolutely." "It might be dangerous," Mya warned Lira. Rouge laughs a bit, "it most definitely will be dangerous, a little girl like you might die." Lira rolled her eyes, "I'm not little, I'm seventeen." Lex sighed, "we're probably going to get attacked a few times, so you must be certain you want to come." Lira walked up to Lex, she held herself with a lot of confidence, "yes I'm certain, and I can be of use I have other summoning eggs we could use!" Mya smiled, "alright then let's go!" Mya held her hand out for Lira. Lira quickly took her hand with a smile on her face.

(Chapter 18)

Ero was flying throughout the air with ease, everyone was on his back. Lira looked at everyone, noticing none of them seemed very scared, "so where's our next destination?" "We need to get the remaining four books," Rouge told Lira with a scowl on his face. "Which one is closest?" Lex asked curiously waiting for an answer. Mya pulled out her bag and was digging through it, her face lit up with excitement as she slowly pulled out a map. As laid it flat on the back of Ero. Mark looked at Mya with a surprised look on his face, "there was a map in there!" Mark shouted in shock.

Mya looked to the side and the ground nervously, "yes, it's a bit outdated though." Lira crawls over to Mya. She points at a location on the map, "here's the library, so now we should be around here since we're flying on Ero." Mya looked over to the map then up at Lira and smiled, "good eye Lira." Lira smiled and tilted her head a little, "Thank you," Lira said with an embarrassed look. "So where to," Rouge asked hastily. Mya looked at the map again, she was looking at the surrounding areas, "back to the werewolves territory." Lex's face turned into an irritated pout, "why, we were already there." Mya sighed, "but we don't have their book yet, do we?" Mya asked in a sarcastic voice. Lex looked away upset.

"Oh yeah, by the way, the elves have two books, the one I keep and the one that's in our territory," Lira quickly told everyone with an ecstatic look on her face. Mya looked at Lira with a puzzled look, "how do the elves have two?" "The four leaders refused to give any books to the humans and decided the elves would be the best bet to keep them safe," Lira quickly replied with a smile. Mya went back to looking at the map she looked to be in deep thought, "alright thanks for letting us know Lira." Lira looked at Mya curiously, "you have no idea what you're doing do you?" Mya looked up slowly, "no, is it that obvious?" Lira nods. Mya sighs, "I'll probably die trying."

Lex puts his hand on Mya's, "I won't let that happen, I'll protect you I promise." Both Mya and Lex make eye contact as their faces turn bright red they quickly pull their hands away and look in the opposite direction. "I know you will Lex you're a kind person," Mya says, still looking away flushed. Lira starts to crawl over to the other side of Ero's back, "I'll let you two talk." Lira looked back at Mya while crawling and winked, "enjoy." Lira sits next to Mark and leaves Lex and MYa to talk alone. Lex looked back at MYa still flustered, "I'm serious by the way." "about what," Mya asked curiously. Lex leaned in, "I would die before letting you get hurt." Mya let out a small laugh, "Because only I can destroy the books?"

Lex puts his hand on Mya's shoulder, "no because you're special." "What do you mean, " Mya hesitantly asked. Lex took his hand off mya's shoulder and looked away, his face becoming a little redder than before, "because you're the only person to treat me normal." Mya looked at Lex and tilted her head in confusion. Lex sighed, "the real reason Rouge, Mark, and I are always together is because we are all orphans." Mya looked at Lex with a sad look, "I'm so sorry." Lex smiled at her, "It's alright, we used to have parents but when we were all around eight we lost them for one reason or another."

Lex looked to the ground, "no one took us in, and the other children called us freaks." Mya started to get visibly upset, "but that's not fair!" Lex looked over at Mya and smiled, "I know, Mya you're the kindest woman I've ever met." Lex reached out and grabbed both of Mya's hands, "so I won't let anything happen to you." Mya smiled, "you were so kind to me when I first came to this world, I was so scared and confused but now I feel safe so I will protect you as well." They both look into each other's eyes with their faces as red as a tomato. "We're still here," Rouge said in a Jealous tone.

(Chapter 19)

Ero slowly made a landing on a big grass field. Mya looked around and saw nothing except a village a few miles away, "so what's the game plan?" Rouge started to crawl over to the side, "Mark, Lex, and I will go and get the book." Lira looked over at Rouge with a puzzled expression, "what about Mya and I?" "Yeah what if we're in trouble?" Mark asked nervously. Rouge rolled his eyes, "you ladies will stay here, you're not of any use to us anyways." "That's not true!" LEx defensively replied. "Yeah, they're both strong!" Mark added. Rouge sighed knowing he was being teamed up on, "we don't know that."

"Yes, we do!" Mark shouted trying to defend Mya and Lira. Rouge looked at Mark and sat there silent for a moment, "how." "Mya makes us feel happy, she also climbed a cliff to help us!" Mark anxiously added. "So what," Rouge asked as he got more irritated by the second. Mark gathered up all his courage to stand up to Rouge, "She's brave, and Lira has those summoning eggs, and she's also kind!" Lira and Mya both looked at Mark and smiled knowing that Mark was going out of his comfort zone to defend them. "Yeah, yeah I get it," Rouge sighed as he looked at the ground.

Lex looked at Rouge to see if he was going to give in or not, "so are they coming or not?" Rouge let out a small growl of annoyance, "this is our territory we can get it easy." "What about Alpha Cal?" Mark stuttered. Rouge looked back at Mark, "what about him?" Rouge's face showed an intimidating scowl. Mark looked at the ground, shying away from the confrontation, "what if he doesn't let us?" "Who cares, we'll just take it," Rouge quickly replied, wanting them to stop the conversation there. Lex was desperately looking for a compromise that will make everyone happy, "how about the ladies come to find us if we're not back in two hours." Lex suggested. "Whatever makes you happy," Rouge rolled his eyes, "But I assure you nothing will happen."

All of the boys had made a swift escape into the werewolf territory and requested an audience with the Alpha. They were quickly approved. As they walked into the alpha's den they knelt in front of him. The Alpha was very muscular and wasn't wearing a shirt, just a cape, he had short scruffy brown hair. Rouge looked at the ground not wanting to offend the Alpha, "Alpha, my friends and I are on a journey." The alpha smiled, "you may raise your heads." The alpha smirk as they raised their heads, "what do you need from me?" "We need your enchanted book," Lex nervously replied. The Alpha let out a big belly laugh, "tell me why you need it and I might give it to you."

Mark kept quiet for a moment and then hesitantly spoke, "we're collecting all of the enchanted books." The Alpha looked at them and smiled as he stood their silence, "not a bad idea, once you collect all of them give them to me, and then we can become the top species." Rouge stood silent and looked at the others for a moment, "Alpha, we need the books to end the war." The Alpha looked back at them with a frown on his face, "you want to destroy the books?" "Yes, Alpha," Lex nervously replied. The Alpha turned around and walked over to a small curtain behind him. He opened the curtain revealing a glass box with the book inside. All the boys looked at it enthusiastically.

"Yes, that's the one!" Mark shouted excitedly. The Alpha laughed for a moment then turned his attention back over to the boys, "oh mark always so stupid." The boys looked up at him with a worried look on all of their faces. Alpha smiled and he seemed to enjoy seeing them in despair, "I can't let you have it." He turned around and looked at the book, "Guards!" A group of werewolves surrounded them. They were all wearing silver armor with spikes on the shoulder plates and chainmail in all the flexible areas, the chest plate had 34 scratch marks on it as a logo.

The alpha smiled with his back still turned to the boys, "take their little orphan pups to the dungeon, they want to end the war and I can't have that. The Guards all grab them as Lex and Mark go with them not wanting to start a fight. Rouge leans all his body weight back resisting the guards, "Why are you doing this!" Alpha turned around to face Rouge, "I want all the other species to destroy each other, I know I can't destroy them all." The Alpha walked up to Rouge and got into his face, "have fun in the dungeon."

(Chapter 20)

The boys were in the dungeon anxiously awaiting what would come next. Lex was pacing back and forth, "We'd have no trouble getting the book, huh?" A defeated Rouge lifted his gaze from the hard stone ground that he was sitting on, "do not mock me, Lex." "Good thing the girls will come in an hour and a half," Mark smiled trying to see the best out of their situation. Lex quickly stopped pacing and looked at Rouge in horror, Rouge looked back with the same expression. Both Lex and Rouge turned their gaze to Mark.

"The girls are coming," Lex asked in a defeated voice. Mark laughed a bit, awkwardly, "yes don't you remember?" Lex walked over to the wall and said nothing. He suddenly raised his fist and punched the wall, "yes I remember." Lex was infuriated by knowing that the girls would come soon. His fist had cuts all over it and scratches. It was bleeding. Mark looked at Lex with tears in his eyes and a worried look, "why are you mad Lex?" Rouge sighed, turning his gaze back to the ground, "he's upset because what are the girls going to do against the Alpha and his Guards." Mark looked at Rouge then quickly at the floor, "I didn't think about that."

Lex put his forehead against the wall he had just punched moments ago, "yeah none of us did." Rouge grunts in annoyance, "this is exactly why I didn't want them to come." "No you didn't want them to come because you think they're weak," Lex turned around facing Rouge. Rouge looked at Lex with his face looking like he was going to attack Lex, He was practically fuming with anger, "No I don't want them to die!" Rouge shouted in a way that echoed throughout the dungeon. He quickly looked at the floor and took a breath trying to calm himself down, and now they're going to." Rouge said in a calm yet depressed voice.

Lex looked at the floor, for a moment he looked like he was going to cry, "so you cared about them all along." Rouge stayed silent for a moment and then met Lex's gaze, "yes, I just didn't want to get close to them." Lex walked over to Rouge and sat beside him, "why?" "Because every time we get close to someone they leave," Rouge said in a shaky voice. Mark and Lex both looked to the ground with a depressed faces. "They're either going to leave us or die," Rouge sourly told them. Mark smiled at Rouge, the smile was sad but yet truthful, "Rouge just believe in them they might just surprise you." Rouge looked away from Mark, "I doubt it." he looked even sadder, "Mya can't even use magic at all yet."

"Lira is also too scared to stand up to people so I doubt she can use her summoning eggs to fight," Rouge said in a negative tone. Lex looked up and sighed, "he's got a point." Mark's eyes started to fill with tears, "I know I just don't want to lose them." As Mark closed his eyes a stream of tears fell. Lex was infuriated, he had punched the ground, "I refuse to lose Mya!" "Why Mya, is this related to your flirting earlier," Rouge curiously asked. Lex stuttered for a moment, "Yes, I love her!" Lex's eyes were filled with tears. Rouge looked at the ground, "you don't know what love is, Lex." "Yes I do," Lex shouted at Rouge in defiance. "Even if she's the first girl that has ever been nice to you doesn't mean you love her," Rouge had maturely told Lex. Lex stood up, "shut up!" Lex walked to the other side of the cell and sat there. Everyone had become silent.

(Chapter 21)

Mya and Lira were sitting on the field leaning against Ero. Mya had been reading magic books for quite some time now. She had already read through two and a half books. Mya leaned over to Lira, "check this out!" Lira looked at the book and leaned in a little bit, "what is it?" Both girls were looking at the book. "It's a spell that can freeze time around you," Mya enthusiastically told Lira. Mya read the page a little bit more, it also says that you can bring people into the frozen time along with you!" Lira smiled at Mya, "that's amazing but I think you should start with more basic spells." "you're right," Mya sighed.

Mya moves her hand up in the air and back down with a face that made her look like she was constipated. Lira let out a small giggle, "what are you doing?" Mya continued doing it with a stern face, "I'm trying to levitate this book!" Lira picked up the book and smiled at Mya, "try focusing on what is happening rather than on what isn't." Mya looked at Mya deeply confused; she had even tilted her head in confusion, "what do you mean?" "When my mother taught me summoning magic she told me to feel everything around me from the air to the grass, everything." Lira smiled at the memory, "she wanted me to feel the magic within, to stop being so negative when it wasn't working, and to just let it happen." "Ok I'll try that," Mya told Lira with some spunk in her voice. Lira smiled at Mya once again, "I'm afraid we don't have time." "Why," Mya asked. Lira giggled a little bit, "well it's been two hours and the boys still aren't back." Mya smirked, "alright time to retrieve the boys!" Both of the girls got up and started their walk to the village.

(Chapter 22)

As Mya and Lira came closer to approaching the village. Mya stopped for a moment which made lira as well. Lira looked back at Mya confused as to why they had suddenly stopped. Mya holds out her hands showing a black cloak, "put this on." Lira even more confused quickly asked, "why?' To hide the fact that we're not werewolves," Mya replied. Lira's face lights up as she grabs the cloak and quickly puts it on, Mya does the same. They both make a Bline straight for the village. When they eventually arrive they both hide in a dark alleyway to come up with a plan.

"So what's the game plan," Lira asked while peaking out into the street. MYa sat there and thought for a moment, "I'm not sure." Mya sighed, "I don't even know where they'd be." Lira looked at Mya trying the ease her worries with a soft smile, "they said they needed to talk to the Alpha." Mya looked at Lira with a smile on her face, "maybe we'll find them there." Mya excitedly announced. Lira pointed at all the werewolves walking around that looked to be of nobility, "well we're for sure heading in the right direction." Mya looked back and gave a big smile to Lira, "now we just have to find out where the Alpha is."

Lira sighed, "easier said than done." LIra went to look at Mya and noticed that Mya was gone. Lira frantically looked around and after looking for a good minute she spotted Mya talking to a random werewolf. Lira looked distressed when she spotted Mya, "Mya." Lira mumbled in a nervous voice. Mya was talking to the werewolf with no fear in her voice and a smile on her face, "do you know where I can find the Alpha?" The werewolf looked down at Mya and didn't say anything for a moment, "who are you?" Lira quickly runs over to MYa and tugged on her arm trying to get Mya to leave.

"I'm a traveler and I have urgent business to discuss with the Alpha," Mya told the werewolf in her most professional voice possible. Even though it was a complete and utter lie Mya stuck to it like glue knowing that if they were found out they'd be in more trouble than they bargained for. The werewolf looked at Mya closely, "what kind of business?" Mya sighed and shook her head, of course, it was only for appearances, "that's between me and the Alpha." The werewolf bent down and got close to Mya's face, "how come you don't know where the Alpha's den is all werewolves know." "um because," Mya stopped mid-sentence and started to get nervous. Lira looked at Mya concerned so she butted in, "it's because we're from the west side of the werewolf tribe."

The werewolves face quickly lit up, "why didn't you say so!" Lira smiled awkwardly, "we didn't think it was important." "You've traveled a great distance," The werewolf warmly said. Lira stuttered through her words having trouble keeping up with the lie, "yes we have." Mya looked at Lira and sighed seeing her stutter, "it's been a tiring journey." "I bet," the werewolf responded. Mya did the most customer service smile she could, "can you please take us to the Alpha now?" "of course," The werewolf quickly answered.

The werewolf walked them, "this should be his den." Lira looked around curiously, "and where's that?" The werewolf points straight, "straight down this path, and take a left at the bar, you should see it at the end of the path." "Thank you very much," Mya gracefully said. The werewolf smiled at them one last time, "hope you have a good rest of your journey." LIra looked at him with a real smile this time, "thank you." right after the werewolf said that he quickly left. Mya and Lira did the same the walked down following the werewolves instructions.

(Chapter 23)

Mya and Lira stopped right in front of the Alpha's den, they stood there staring at the door. "You ready," Mya asked as Lira stood there trembling. LIra couldn't take her gaze off of the door in front of her, "n-not really." Lira stuttered she could barely get anything to come out of her mouth. Mya looked at Lira and sighed, "well too bad." Mya quickly reached out and grabbed Lira's hand as she guided both of them into the den. When Mya and Lira got into the den they were still holding hands.

The Alpha's attention quickly turned to them, his face turning red with anger, "how dare you barge in!" Mya taken aback by how they were greeted stuttered, "I Uh I-I'm so sorry Alpha my friend, and I have come a long way to see you." The Alpha even more enraging yelled to the point you could feel the building shake, "Kneel when you speak to me!" Mya and Lira both kneel quickly, they were frightened by the display of pure anger in front of them. Lira being even timider than Mya was trembling. "I'm so sorry for not kneeling before Alpha," Mya apologetically told the Alpha while her hands shook.

The Alpha lowered his voice knowing that his point had come across, "what was so important that you had to barge in here and didn't even kneel?" Mya looked to the ground, "we're looking for our friends." "your friends?" The Alpha curiously asked. Mya still shaking spoke to try and find them, "yes they went missing around two hours ago." The Alpha thought to himself, "two hours ago, that sounds like those three pups." Mya met the Alpha's gaze, "the last thing we know is that they went to see you." "to see me?" the Alpha asked. "Yes, we were wondering if you had seen them," Mya looked at the Alpha with desperation in her eyes as she asked.

The book caught Mya's attention she looked at the book and then quickly looked back at the Alpha. Mya thought to herself upon seeing the book, "the books are still here." "What are their names," The Alpha quickly asked snapping Mya back into the conversation. "Huh?" Mya curiously asked. The Alpha looked at Mya, "you seem distracted." "Do I, I'm sorry," Mya replied nervously. Alpha meets Mya's gaze at the book, "ah you were looking at My book." The Alpha looked back at Mya, "many are captivated by the magic it gives off." "I bet," Mya responds with a smile, "it's a lovely book." The Alpha looked back at the book, "yes, it is." "It's the enchanted book of fire."

"Fire is such a powerful element," Mya said with an intense look. "Indeed," Alpha responded with a small glare, "anyways what are your friend's names?" Mya looked down, "I don't think you saw them." The Alpha smiled, "I might have and if not I can help you find them." "Thank you," Mya gratefully replied. With a smile she looked up at the Alpha, "their names are Lex, Mark, and Rouge." "have you seen them?" The Alpha smiles with a mischievous look, "I have." he paused for a moment, "would you like to see them?" Mya and Lira's eyes light up. Mya smiled and looked up at him anxiously, Yes, we would very much appreciate that!" The alpha smiled with an evil look lingering, "alright come with me." The alpha told the girls as he started to walk to a staircase leading down, the girls got up and quickly followed behind him.

(Chapter 24)

The boys were still stuck in the dungeon feeling helpless and worrying about the girls. Rouge looked over to Lex, "I support whatever you chose Lex, you know that." Lex rolled his eyes irritated with Rouge, "but yet you dare to tell me that I do not know what love is." Mark looked at both of them confused he wanted to ease the tension once again but was also confused, "do any of us know what love is?" Rouge sighed, "Love is when your heart aches for someone when you can't imagine your life without them, you would do anything for that person." Rouge looked to the ground. Everyone went silent, looking at Rouge.

"Have you ever been in love before," Lex hesitantly asked Rouge. Rouge looked away and sighed, "a long time ago." Lex walked over to Rouge curious to hear more, "how come you never told us about it?" Rouge looked at Lex and Mark and then back to the ground, "because I was a stupid sixteen-year-old." "Who was she," Lex asked excitedly. Rouge smiled thinking about her, "she was a human named Mercy." Lex and Mark are both shocked, "A human!" They shouted in disbelief. Rouge looked up at them, "yes, a human." "What happened," Mark curiously asked. The smile slowly disappeared off of Rouge's face, "the head of the orphanage found out." Rouge looked down, "he killed her."

Everyone was silent, the room felt tense. "He told me if I ever trusted a human again they will die too," Rouge said while his voice sounded like he was in a lot of pain. Lex looked extremely concerned, "why would they do that." Mark looked at Rouge extremely saddened, "it seems werewolves are more corrupt than we thought." All of them nodded agreeing with Mark. Lex looked up at Rouge, "The way you felt about Mercy is the way I feel about Mya." Rouge sighed, "I know and I'll try not to interfere. Lex confused asked Rouge, "what do you mean you'll try not to?" Rouge looked down in shame, "I feel the same way about Mya as I did about Mercy."

Mark's face lit up like a light bulb, "that's why you've been trying not to get close to her." Rouge sighed once more, "I rather her be happy and live than for me to be happy and she dies." Lex looked at Rouge shocked, he was speechless for a moment, "you have feelings for her." Lex said in shock. "I'm sorry Lex," Rouge apologetically said. Lex looked down thinking, he mumbled, "it's fine." The Alpha slowly appeared on the other side of their cell bars. The Alpha had both girls with him holding each one roughly by their arm.

"I found the rest of your group," The Alpha smiled cynically. Lira looked at the Alpha with tears in her eyes from the pain she was in, "please let go, you're hurting me." The Alpha looked at Lira and smiled. "Lex go!" Mya yelled at The Alpha with some spunk behind her words. Mya's face told a different story though. She was clenching her teeth and scrunching her face. She was in a lot of pain but she was better at hiding it than Lira. "Let them go," Rouge shouted at the Alpha, he was furious. Lex butted in, "Yeah you only need us." The Alpha smiled and chuckled, "but I can't have the rest of you collecting the books." The Alpha looked at the girls and smiled at the boys, "you care for them." "so here's my idea how about you watch me execute them." All the boys looked at the Alpha with horrified and defeated expressions.

(Chapter 25)

The Alpha walked down the hall, basically dragging the girls behind him. as he made his way deeper into the dungeon he became harder to see Until he vanished. Mark turned to Lex and Rouge with tears in his eyes, "what are we going to do?" Rouge punches the wall in a violent rage, "Damn it!" Lex looked down, his facial expression told everyone that he had given up, "there's nothing we can do." "So we just have to sit there and watch them die," Mark yelled at Lex with streams of tears running down his flustered cheeks. Rouge glared at Lex, his glare was sad but yet intimidating, "I told you they would leave or die.

"We all knew this was dangerous," Lex sighed, "but why were they so insistent on coming." Rouge looked at Lex with a sorrowful expression, "because they wanted to help." Mark stomped over to the boys like a toddler throwing a tantrum, but he had good reason, "we can't just sit and watch," Mark yelled at them in a fit of rage, "We need to come up with a plan!" Lex looked at Mark. He quickly clenched his teeth then turned away, "we can't." Lex couldn't bare to look at his friend right now. Lex knew he had broken his promise to Mya and wasn't doing anything to keep it. Although Mark was trying his best to attempt to help them. Lex felt embarrassed that he was too scared to try anything and that he had given up.

Lex knowing the facts told Mark to see if he'd still try, "they'll have us all in chains and guards around us the whole time." "oh…," Mark sighed with a sad face. Rouge put his hand on Mark's shoulder, "even if we tried we wouldn't make it in time." "I promised to protect her," Lex said irritated with himself. Mark's face lit up, like a lightbulb went off inside of him, "wait for a second, couldn't Mya still escape?" Lex looked at Mark confused, "how could she?" Mark smiled wiping his tears from his face, "she can just go home!" Rouge looked at Mark and smiled, "Mark is right if she just summons Ralph she can go home." Lex thinks out loud, "yes, you're right she should be able to."

"What about Lira though," Mark asked looking defeated once again. Lex petted Mark to try and ease his nerves, "after Mya escapes we will have a chance to save Lira." "how," Mark asked while his ears were drooping. "From the confusion," Rouge replied with a mischievous smile. Mark turned his head over to Lex and anxiously asked, "do you think we can do it?" Lex put his hand on his face thinking, "maybe, it's risky though." Rouge looked at them with a serious face, "and after this, we will not search for the books anymore." "Why," Mark curiously asked. Rouge sighed, "because if we do more people will get hurt, and I don't even know if Mya can or will come back." "all that matters now is their safety," Lex replied. Mark nodded, "alright so, we're going through with this plan?" Rouge nodded, "yeah, and for now all we have to do is wait."

(Chapter 26)

The boys slowly approach the executing arena, behind them are guards making sure they won't escape. The boys are nervous as they walk out with their hands bound in chains. They make it to the entrance of the arena. Standing right before them was the Alpha he looked down at them with a smug look, "I'm so glad you boys could make it." Rouge gets irritated, "Shut up you old hag!" Rouge shouted. The Alpha laughed and let out a villainess smile, "is that any way to talk to your Alpha?" Lex looked away from the Alpha, "you're no Alpha of ours." The Alpha got into their faces and smiled, "aw my little pups are upset."

"Is it because you care for those little ladies," The Alpha asked while smiling from ear to ear. All the boys become silent as they glare needles at the Alpha. "I see," The alpha said as he turned his attention to the guards behind them, "escort them to their seats." The head guard bows his head along with the other guards in respect, "yes Alpha." The guards push the boys to get them to move. They escort them to a front-row seat. The boys sit down as all the guards stand around them. They are conveniently placed so the boys can't escape but they can still see everything just fine.

Rouge continued to stand right where his seat was. "Sit down," the guard shouted at him. Rouge glared at the young guard, "and why should I listen to you?" The guard puts his hand on Rouge's shoulder. He pressed down on it to add weight, "sit down." He asked again this time in a demanding tone. The pressure was too much, it had made Rouge fall into his seat. "Tch," Rouge irritatedly said. The guard looked at them with a stern look, "now get comfortable." Lex turned his head and scowled at the guard, "how can you work for this monster!?" The guard looked at Lex with no expression on his face, "he is our alpha." the guard paused for a moment, "and I respect him.

Lex yelled at the guard enraged at what he had told them, "why would respect someone who hurts innocent girls?!" The guard irritatedly looked at them, "they're not innocent." "How are they not?" Lex asked. The guard starting to get upset with the line of questioning answered quickly, "one of them is an elf and the other a human." Rouge rolled his eyes, "your point?" "They're here to attack," The guard responded with a short temper. Rouge looked at the guard and jerked his body towards him in a fit of rage, "no they're not!" Rouge was silent for a moment thinking, "they only came here to help us."

"Why would you need help," The guard asked coldly. Rouge enraged glared at him, "for being locked away because we wanted to end the war!" The guard went silent and his face changed from annoyed to uncomfortable. Mark butted in trying to help the situation, "exactly, it's not fair!" The guard sighed, "life isn't fair." "he is still my Alpha so I have to serve him no matter what the circumstances are." Lex sighed and looked at Mark and Rouge, "there's no getting through to this guy." The whole arena went silent. The Alpha walked out holding chains with both of the girls attached to them. As the Alpha walked passed the boys he greeted them, "hello boys." he kept walking as all the boys watch him and glare him down.

The Alpha smiled at the girls, "now which one will go first." He turned his attention to Mya and Yanked her over to him, "how about you?" Mya spat in his face in response, "you're a monster!" Alpha annoyed whipped the spit off his face, "yes I am." The Alpha grabbed Lira's chains and clipped them to a hook out of her reach. Rouge looked at the boys, "we need to yell at her and tell her what to do before anything happens." Lex nods, "I know." The Alpha made Mya kneel and placed her head on a block. The Alpha looked at Mya with an intense stare, "if you stay still this will be easier for the both of us." Mya sighed, "fine I'll stay still." "good," the Alpha said as he lifted an ax above his head. Lex shouts at the top of his lungs, "Mya go home!" Mya looked at LIra once she heard that. She couldn't live with herself if she was saved but Lira wasn't. Mya mumbled to herself, "I won't." she closed her eyes awaiting her fate. The alpha swung the ax, it was about the be the end for Mya.

(Chapter 27)

Mya's eyes are closed as she awaits her fate. Suddenly a blue bubble surrounds her. Mya quickly opened her eyes. She looked around frantically noticing that there was no sound, no one is moving, and the ax that was but an inch away from her neck was now frozen as well. "What just happened," Mya said out loud surprised by what was in front of her. Mya got up and walked around the Alpha, she was investigating, "did I cast a freezing time spell without realizing it?" Mya was in deep thought, "how did it say you could bring people into the spell with you, I can't remember." "I think it said you just need to touch them."

Mya slowly approached LIra. Mya reached her hand out and grabbed Lira's arm. Suddenly a blue bubble surrounded Lira as well. Lira looked around just as confused as Mya was, "Mya?" Mya smiled at Lira, "let's get you out of those," Mya said gesturing at the handcuffs. Lira looked at Mya's cuffed hands, "I think we should get yours off first." Lira looked around her once again, "also why is everyone in a suspended state?" MYa nervously laughed, "oh I accidentally cast a time-freezing spell." Lira looked at Mya for a moment, "good job."

"Now try casting a spell to make the chains a weaker material, or turn them into something else." Mya looked at Lira nervously, "do you think I can do it?" Lira smiled, "it's worth a shot isn't it?" Mya closed her eyes and held her chains. A green bubble covered them in light. The chains turned into leaves and slowly fell to the ground. Mya watched in shock, "well I didn't make them a weaker material but I changed them into leaves." LIra smiled, "that works too." MYa then reached out for LIra's chains and did the same thing. "Let's get the boys how," Mya said with a smile on her face.

(Chapter 28)

As Mya and Lira quickly rush over to where the boys were seated. Mya tripped over a big rock, Mya fell face first into the dirt. LIra stopped noticing that Mya fell, "Mya are you alright?" Lira asked in the sweetest voice. Mya looked up at Lira, "yeah I'm alright." Mya quickly got up, "I am feeling a little bit tired though." LIra looked at Mya with a serious face, "the spell must be wearing off soon then, we must hurry." Both of them rush over to the boys. Mya put her hand on Rouge, then Lex, and lastly Mark. The blue bubble surrounded them as well.

Lex looked around frantically, "what happened?" Rouge noticed immediately what had happened, "wait, did you freeze time?"Mark looked at Mya and his eyes lit up like a Christmas tree, "so cool!" Lira cut off the conversation in a hurry, "We don't have time for this!" "what do you mean we have all the time in the world?" Rouge asked confused by why Lira was in such a rush. Lex was also confused, "Yeah, everyone is in a suspended state." Mya smiled at them happy that they were back to their normal selves, "it's taking a lot of energy out of me to keep time frozen." Mya took in a deep breath, "plus taking you guys with me uses more energy." LIra looked at the boys, "Let's hurry up now!"

Mya touched all of the chains one, by one. Slowly each one turned into leaves and fell to the ground. "Now those chains are all gone," Lira smiled. The boys all looked at Mya surprised that she can use this much magic at once. They were also surprised she learned magic in such a short time. Mya smiled at them, "alright let's hurry up now." The boys jumped over the small wall in front of them and they all started running out of there. Halfway out of the town Mya stopped. She was visibly exhausted she was sweating bullets and panting like an old dog. Lira turned around and looked at Mya, "Mya we need to keep going." Mya nodded, "yes I know I just needed to catch my breath, keep going I'm right behind you." Lira nodded as Lira and the others kept running

(Chapter 29)

Mya still was standing there panting, "they'll get out of here safely," Mya thought to herself. Mya looked behind her at the Alpha's den, "And so will I." The others were still running. In the distance, they could see Ero. LIra smiled, "there's Ero!" Rouge looked around him, "where's Mya, I don't see her?" Lex started to look around once Rouge had said something, "Yeah, where is Mya?" Rouge insistently said, "I'll go back and get her before the spell wears off." Lex looked at Rouge. He stayed silent but looked upset. Lira nodded, "Alright, but you better get her back in time." Lira was silent for a moment, "thank you for caring Rouge." Rouge smiled for once, "we're in this together." Rouge quickly turned around and started running back looking for Mya. "Let's get on Ero," Lira quickly commanded.

Rouge was running around searching for Mya, "where is she." Rouge stopped running and looked around. "She should be around here somewhere," Rouge thought to himself. Rouge's attention turned to the Alpha's den. When it did he knew exactly where she was. His face drooped down he was irritated, "you've gotta be kidding me." Rouge started running over the Alpha's home. As Rouge entered he saw Mya on the ground, she was sweating even more than before, she could barely keep her eyes open. She was leaning on the case that held the book.

It was obvious what she was after. Rouge saw her and his heart dropped, "MYA!" Rouge quickly rushed over to her and kneeled beside her, "what are you doing?" "you shouldn't be here," Rouge lectured Mya. Rouge sighed, "the spells going to break soon I need to get you out of here." "no not without the book," Mya told him in a weak voice. "What, why!?" Rouge asked in questioning but shouting tone. "Because if we don't get the book, this would have all been for nothing," Mya had gotten to the point where she was so weak she could barely speak. Rouge sighed, "fine, but then we're leaving." Rouge took off his jacket and threw it on Mya covering her. Rouge quickly punched the glass breaking it. Glass flew everywhere, and Rouge's hands were cut from the glass. He quickly grabbed the book.

(Chapter 30)

Rouge showed Mya the book, he held it up so she could see it as blood dripped down his hand. He also has cuts all over his arms and on his face. Rouge knelt in front of Mya, "you didn't get cut did you?" Mya looked up at him, "n-no, thanks to your jacket." Mya was looking weaker by the second. Mya slowly reached her hand out and cupped his face, "I'm sorry I didn't want you to get hurt." Rouge smiled sweetly trying to make her feel better, "rather me than you." Mya's voice was shaking, "now I feel bad." Rouge looked at her with a serious face, "you saved all of our lives, it's the least I can do for you." Roue smiled once again, "plus werewolves heal faster than humans."

Mya mustered up the energy to smile, "that makes me feel a little bit better." Mya looked down, "how are we going to get back I can't stand, let alone walk." Rouge looked at Mya, "I could carry you if you don't mind." Mya looked up at Rouge and in a weak voice said, "fine I'll let you carry me, but only this once." Rouge nodded, "Alright, let's get going." Rouge scooped Mya up into his arms along with his jacket that was covering her. Rouge smiled at her before he started to run down the street carrying her. Mya looked at him and in a sassy voice, "just because I'm weak right now doesn't mean I'm always weak so I better not hear you picking on me later." Rouge looked at her, "oh, I would never dream of it you're the farthest thing from weak, if I picked on you, you might just beat me up." Rouge said in a cheerful voice. "You froze time, brought four people in it with you, and turned chains into leaves." Mya smiled, "I guess I'm pretty cool." Rouge Laughed, "I'd say."

They made it back to the others right as the spell disappeared. When the spell vanished so did the blue bubbles. "We're back," Rouge said with a smile. Lira looked at them with a relieved look, "good." Mark shouted at them from on top of Ero, "get on Ero so we can finally leave this dump!" Rouge laughed, "and hopefully never return." Rouge slowly made his way on top of Ero's back while holding Mya. When Rouge made it to the top he gently laid Mya down, noticing she had passed out. Rouge took his blanket off of her and balled it up. He gently laid it under her head as a pillow. He turned over to Mya's bag and dug through it. He suddenly pulled out a blanket and laid it on top of her. The wind blew and birds flew. "Looks like the spell diffidently wore off," Rouge said with a smile as he sat next to Mya. Lex looked over at Rouge with an agitated look on his face.

(Chapter 31)

Ero was soaring through the sky with everyone on his back. Mya was still asleep but she was slowly waking up. Mya opened her eyes slowly and looked around with an exhausted gaze, "where are we?" Mark looked at Mya with a smile. He was happy she had woken up, "we're on Ero." Mya slowly sits up, "how did we get here?" Lex looked at her surprised, "you don't remember?" "No, all I remember is almost getting executed and stopping time," Mya said while shaking her head. Rouge glanced at Mya, "so you remember all the important details then." "Did we.." Mya started to say something before Rouge cut her off, "get the book, yes we did you wouldn't let me leave without it." Mya let out a sigh of relief, "good."

Lex crossed his arms and looked up at the sky. Mya turned her attention to him noticing she was acting strange, "Lex are you ok, I was worried about you and everyone else, but especially you." Mya said blushing a little. Mya's blush quickly vanished when she heard Lex's reply, "I'm fine Mya." Mya looked at Lex with an upset face, "really because you're acting cold." Mya questioned him trying to find out why one day he was being nice and they had a connection but today he's acting so coldly. Lex's face turned sad as he looked at Mya, "I don't mean to be cold, I was just trying to think about the time spent in the dungeon."

Rouge let out a fake smile. Even though he was smiling out the outside his aura was sad, "yeah Mya, no need to worry we just had an unforgettable time." Mya looked at Rouge suspiciously, "if you say so." Mark looked at Lex and Rouge concerned he wasn't sure what was going to happen now. Lira leaned into Mark and whispered into his ear, "what happened between them?" Mark looked at Lira leaned in and whispered back, "they both have feelings for Mya." Lira backed away and looked very surprised. Mya noticed them whispering, "hey, what are you two whispering about?" Lira looked around, "whispering who, no one's whispering." Mya looked at her with yeah right face, "I may not have been able to hear what you said but I am not blind."

Lira sighed, "I'll tell you another time." Mya smiled at Lira and let out a small laugh, "I'm holding you to it then." Rouge was watching the girls talk and he was admiring Mya with a sad smile while thinking to himself, "She is so beautiful, I wish I could have her all to myself but unfortunately she likes Lex." Rouge tilted his head up to look at the clouds they were so high in the air that he could almost touch them. "Lira where are we going," Mya asked just now wondering. LIra looked at Mya confused, "I thought I had already told you?" Mya laughed a bit, "maybe everyone but me, if you remember I was unconscious." Lira's face lit up, "oh now I remember." "So where are we going," Mya asked curiously. Lira smiled, "to elf territory." Mya sighed, "I hope we have better luck there."

"We will," Lira responded with a smile. Mya looked at lira with a worried look, "how are you so hopeful." "Because I'm with you," Lira said with a confident smile. Mya tilted her head in confusion, "what does that mean exactly?" Lira smirked she looked kinda evil but she was full of confidence, "I'm from a respected family in elf territory, since my family protected the library for decades they worship us. They will give me whatever I ask for, with no questions asked." Mya looked at her surprised, "well I guess that is a lot better than the werewolf territory." Lira nodded, "Indeed." "My people don't believe in violence unless it's the last option." "What about you," Mya asked hesitantly. Lira smiled, "I'm fine with fighting as long as it's for a good cause." Lira stopped talking for a moment and looked around, "we're here." they all look out at the distance and see a beautiful village made only out of plants, there's even a big field in the center filled with other Lerds like Ero.
