Chereads / Werewolf King Of Ireland / Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Taken

Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Taken

I looked out the window to see the forest below and flipped through books until I heard the door open. I gathered most of the books I took out and I started putting them away. "So you like books." I jumped at the deep voice behind me. I turned to see the King in a white button down shirt and crisp navy pants. I didn't dare look at him past his neck. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snoop I just wanted to look."

He took the pile of books from my arms. "You aren't snooping, you are looking and I meant when I said you could go anywhere at anytime. I just want you to feel comfortable... Although I wasn't expecting you to waltz around in a night gown." He smirked and I realized he was talking about this morning. "Sorry I just was so worried I didn't think about other people, I covered myself with a robe though." He nodded and moved my head up to look him in the eye. "Indeed or I probably would have blinded them all."

My eyes grew wide and I backed away. "Relax and come sit. I am going to teach you how to read." I smiled ad went back to the sofa by the fire. He say next to me and handed me a children's book. "Let's start small and build you up." I nodded as I opened the book.

We spent the rest of the night there as he patiently sat beside me and taught me. We walked the halls to a hall where we sat and ate dinner with his Mom and Molly. Paisley praised Molly and then Molly took over most ofnthe talking with what she did that day. After we all walked to our hallway of bedrooms and Paisley dissappeared with a smile on her face. I turned to see the King walking Molly to her room and rannafter him.

I opened the door to see him waiting by the bed. He waited until she came out and she showed him her teeth. "I got them all." She beamed and he laughed taking her dirty clothes and tossing them into a hamper. "Good now tuck in." He chased her around the room and scooped her up, placing her in the bed. "Goodnight Princess." He said as he lifted the covers over her and kissed her cheek. I ran my hands through her red hair and kissed her too. "Wake me tomorrow Molly please." She nodded and hugged me before whispering in my ear. "When your wolf gets better are you going to marry Gavin?"

I turned red and shrugged. "I'm not sure Mol." Her face fell. "You should. He is really nice." All too aware of the King over my shoulder I kissed her again. "Goodnight Molly." I said as I rose and went to the door. I didn't wait for the King to start walking down the hall.

"Holly." I turned at the sound of his voice. It did things to me I knew if I let myself I'd fall for him. This time when he touched my hand small currents ran up my arm. I pulled my hand away and gasped. I looked up to see him smirking. "You are already starting to feel it." He said smugly and I whipped around to take off down the hall.

I made it to steps before I was whisked upward and carried down the hall. "You're Majesty?" I whispered as he ran down the hallway. he slowed his steps but didn't stop. "Call me Gavin." He said as he opened a set of doors and carried me inside, closing the door behind him. His room was bigger then any of the bedrooms. It had a dark green comforter with golden trim, and white sheets. There where sheer gold sheets draped around the frame that hung off the posts. He had a huge table with six chairs and a fireplace, a soft looking couch and two fireplaces. Balcony doors and a bathroom, gosh it was huge.

"Holly." He breathed into my neck and my body broke out in goosebumps. He let me slip from his arms and he pushed me into his chest wrapping his arms around me. He ran his fingers through my tangles curls gently. "I really want to kiss you. Can I?" I nodded and he crashed his lips to mine. He moved expertly as he lifted me up and pressed me gently into a nearby wall. I opened my legs to allow him to get closer, but my dress wouldn't allow it. He pulled the material causing it to tear.

I pulled back and felt his hand caress my leg as he pressed between my legs with his body. His hands rested on my ass holding me upward and I tossed my head back allowing him to kiss down my neck. My body exploded with tingles and sparks. Heat roared through me. I ran my hands through his hair and kissed him again earning a small groan of approval from the King.

The King I thought as I pulled away. Feeling me tense up he loosened his grip. "What's wrong?" He asked gently, as he carried me and sat me on a chair. "Is it the dress, because I'll buy you a new one?" He knelt in front of me my kness against his warm chest. I let out a small laugh and shook my head. "No it's not the dress." I let out a huff and his eyes roamed around me before resting at my eyes. "It's that you are the King of Werewolves, and I am... Well me an orphaned Omega with no wolf, no periods, and honestly nothing to offer."

Gavin pulled away, and it was more then his heat I missed. "Holly I don't care." His face became tense and his face scrunched up. A vein started to pop out of his neck. "How can you not care You're Majesty? I can't give you pups, or strength in anyway. I am weak and useless." He groweled and turned over a desk. "Don't call yourself those things!" He roared and I shrank my size. "You are my mate, Don't I get a say in what I want?" He snarled and now raggedly hunched over me. "Do I Holly, because I'd choose you a thousand times over."

I shook my head and he grabbed my cheeks. "I am not some shit head making a move. The Goddess chose me for you, and you for me. You were not always an Omega Holly; and you can rise to be my equal, my Queen, and my world. But I am not going to beg or make you. This is just as much your choice as it is mine, but don't you dare tell me it isn't want I want." He released my face and realized he was gentler then I thought he was going to be and when I looked up he was gone.

I heard a sad long howel from outside the castle. I walked to the balcony and looked outside to see a huge brown wolf with a black tipped tail running for the trees. A smaller wolf ran after him a few minutes later the same russet brown. I picked up his desk and chair before picking up all the papers. I glanced down to see a bunch of letters to a woman named Valor and some from a woman named Gemma. I shoved them in a pike and tossed them on the desk.

I started to cry and realized I shouldn't be, I just pushed him away. I didn't even know who those women where or why they wrote to Gavin. I also knew I had no right to know. I went back out on the balcony and felt a heat rise inside of me. I screamed and dropped to the stone cold floor. My body shook and I heard a howel in the distance. My bones snapped and I realized I was changing.

For the first time my body was acting like a werewolf. My senses sharpened and the pain faded as I looked down to see red and white paws. I looked to my right to see my own reflection. I was thin, and looked more like a fox then a wolf except the fur that sat around my throat. I whined and a guard came in to let me out. I bolted through the castle and out by the greenhouse. I made for the forest and a howel broke through the trees.

I ran the opposite way and froze when the howels stopped. I moved quickly and quietly until I was knocked over. I yelped out of fear and curled up in a ball. The huge wolf nipped at my sides and neck, but he never hurt me. As I calmed down a fresh salt water breezed scent entered my nose. I looked up slowly to see Gavin jumping back and forth wagging his tail. "Can you hear me yet Holly?" I nodded and sat up to see him warching me with excitement. "You are beautiful!" A blush broke out, but I was suddenly very thankful for the fur blocking my skin. "Try to talk to me Holly. Tell me what you are thinking?"

I tried to reach out. "Your Majesty?" He jumped up and licked my face. "Yes, but please call me Gavin." His voice asked in a low whine. I nodded. "Okay Gavin. I feel very weird. My muscles hurt, but I feel like I want to run." He nodded and licked my face. "Then let's run baby girl."

The endearment through me a little bit, but as he nipped my heels I took off and Gavin followed. He ran behind me and almost caught me a few times, but my wolf squeezed into places his wouldn't. I ran to a cliff and froze at the beautiful view. A wide field led me up to the rocky cliffs where the water beat against it. The water sparkled as the moonlight danced across the water. I sat down as Gavin came beside me. "You like the ocean?" I nodded and smiled as the wind whipped my fur.

"When I was little I remember running to the sea whenever my mother wanted me to study. I'd bound out of house barefoot and go there to escape." I let out a laugh and shook my head. " I havent thought about the sea in a long time... My Mothet would always send my Dad, the big bad wolf after me to bring me home. I'd ride him and he'd take his time telling me stories about the woods of Ireland as I laid on his back."

The King covered laid down next to me and pit his giant paw over mine. "I am glad you found it." He nuzzled my neck and I nuzzled back. "I think I should bring Molly here one day, if it's okay with you." He nodded and scooted closer. "I think we should bring her here, and if not us then at least bring a guard with you." I looked back at the ocean and took a deep breath. "Holly?" I turned to see Gavin looking at me. "Will you go on a date with me tomorrow night?"

I twisted my head. "I don't know. I've never been on a date." I looked away and he nudged my snout. "We don't have to go anywhere. I'll set it up, I just want you to spend time with me." I nodded and he licked my face. "You ready to go back?" Gavin asked as he rose up, and reluctantly I followed leaving the sea behind. I ran through the woods and found that Gavin was keeping up this time as we ran together. I slowed when a smell of Grapefruit caught my nose. "Holly?" I followed it and froze not hearing a thing. "Holly run to the castle." Gavin shouted as a wolf came from the left towards me. "Now!" He yelled as he wrestled with three wolves.

I didn't follow his order and I couldn't leave him ad another wolf came from behind us. I wrestled with it and quickly discovered they where rogues. Howling broke out and three guards came to our aid just as I killed one. I ran towards Gavin and jumped on a Brown wolf's back and bit down just as he was about to bite Gavin.

Gavins eyes shined as he lost control and shook a wolf until a clear crack sounded and the wolf slumped from a broken neck. The last one he tore into pressing down and tearing the fur from his neck. The guards fought two others and apparently five more tried to get to the castle. I took off running to check on Molly the King right behind me.

I ran past the guards and turned rushing into Molly's room. I tore the covers off and stared down at an empty bed. "Molly!" She was taken and before I could think a scream sounded and I looked put the window to see two men carrying her off I opened the window to see a sheet rope and climbed down after them the King shouting orders. I saw him run into the woods as I touched down and shifted again into my small red wolf and bounded into the forest.
