Chapter 7 - Chapter Six

Unkown POV

Pulling a phone from his pocket the Master Demon called his partner to inform him of what he had just learned. "Hello?"

"They know where you are. I want the experiment moved immediately to the secondary location. If they make it there in time to find him before I am ready to reveal it I will kill you myself." Being a Master Demon there weren't many creatures that could compare with his strength and power. After being summoned onto this earth ten years ago he had sworn to himself never go back.

The first several years he had enjoyed himself killing people and devouring their souls. It had been beautiful. After being locked up in the underworld for century after century he deserved to indulge.

It was just a normal hunt when he came across the most beautiful human he had ever seen. She was tanned with long auburn hair and emerald, green eyes. In all his life the Master Demon had never desired a human before.

For a while he just followed her around and observed her. She was strong and that made him crave her even more. No matter where she went there was always a male human trailing right along with her. He didn't like the way he made her smile and laugh. He wanted to be the one to do that.

Though he knew nothing about making a woman laugh or smile for this woman he wanted to. One night the group of humans she had been traveling with had laid down for the night some still lingered around campfires when out of nowhere a female came stumbling into the center of the camp holding her hand to her throat. It had been ripped out. Blood was gushing everywhere. The male that was always hanging around his woman came rushing up to her lifting her off the ground. It was too late though the woman was dead.

Before any of them could reach a pack of wolves sprang at them from the darkness. Never one to worry about anyone else's life it took him by surprise when he started to panic looking for his woman.

That is when he saw her. She was trying to get the male to drop the woman's body and run with her. A wolf tackled her, and the demon swore. That stupid male was going to get his woman killed. Without even thinking about it he ran and ripped the wolf off of her. When she saw him, her eyes widened. He wasn't sure if it was because he had just thrown a massively huge bear size wolf or maybe there was something on his face.

Even though he was a demon he still looked human unless he chose to show his true form. Taking her by the arm he pulled her off the ground and began running but she stopped him turning to run after the other male who was crawling across the dirt in an attempt to escape the jaws of one of the beasts.

Not really wanting too he went back to help the male his woman seemed to be so worried about. She had the male by the hand pulling him up off the ground at the same time he took position in front of them to confront the snarling beast. Just when he was going to strike out and take a bite out of him the woman, he had been watching thrust a knife into the beast's temple.

Watching her kill the beast that was easily four times her size and she didn't even bat an eyelash had his stomach fluttering. This woman was perfect.

"Run," She yelled at him. He was never one to follow orders or enjoy being told what to do, but for her he would have done anything. When she grabbed his hand and began to run all he could focus on was her hand in his. It was from that day forward he decided to never leave his side.

It had been perfect up until two weeks ago. His father, the kind of the underworld, had made it out of the gates and was demanding his service. His father was the one being he could not deny. Not because of loyalty or choice, but because the son of a bitch held his talisman in his grasp and like all demons who ever possessed your talisman was your Master.

His father had a dirty evil plan to ride the world of all humans and take overruling the creatures upon the soil of earth. Essentially bring the underworld top side.

The demon wanted to stop him but until he could find a way to get his talisman back, he had to make his father believe he hated the human just as much as he did and that he was only with the human group to push his father's agenda.
