Iolathane did not wish to spare sympathy for someone who she did not like beforehand, but it was hard to ignore the flicker of pain in Lukas' expression.
Her father, Idris Durand, must have also noticed it and sighed deeply.

"I am aware of that, though I'd reckon it's best for you guys to advise them against that." Lukas grinned. "I'm not saying this to scare you guys, but it's for the benefit of everyone who wishes to be involved."
