"I've just texted Eli that I'm staying with you for the night. I'm actually really excited for your party Ky."
"Same here. I'm so excited. Come let's go shop now since we've finished for today!"
I follow Kyra over to her car and get in. She hops in on the drivers seat and starts playing music. We started singing along loudly and dancing.
After we had our emotional session where I told her everything, I've been feeling a bit lighter and I think Kyra's noticed that. Now that I don't have to hide anything I can relax and have fun at this party.
I'm weirdly super excited for this party considering that I was literally depressed this morning. I don't know but I feel like I'm anticipating something at this party but I just don't know what. I'm looking forward to drinking and dancing.
We arrive at the shops and we select some fancy party dresses to try on.
I hesitate though because they show my arms which have cuts on them.
"Hey ky, I —I don't think I can wear these."
"Thena, sweetie, you're beautiful and these scars and cuts show your strength so you don't need to cover up but I understand if you want something to not show them." She hesitates before saying, "Please tell me if you feel like cutting again. I love you okay and I'm here for you."
"Thanks Ky." And I mean it. I will try for her. It will be hard but for her I will.
"I found this dress." I show her this dark red puffed sleeved dress which comes up mid thigh.
"Omg you look stunning. This is the one. You look sexy." She winks and I burst out laughing. "Not more sexier than you babes." I say and she laughs.
We head out to pay for our dresses but before I can grab my card Ky has already paid. "Ky you don't have to buy this for me."
"I don't have to but I want to treat my best friend cause you deserve it besides it's on my brothers tab so we're good. I'm hungry, let's get food."
"Ok but I'm paying for the food."
"Fine but let's hurry up cause we need to get ready!"
After grabbing some food, we head over to Ky's flat to get ready for the party. She gives me a smoke eye which pops out my green eyes with glittery lip gloss.
I put on the dress with some dark red stilettos and I look in the mirror.
My straight black hair rests on my shoulders and my legs look long with these heels - which I can barely stand in let alone walk.
I feel pretty.
"Wow you look hot bestie." I spin around to see Kyra and she looks pretty as usual with her black mini dress and Stilettos which accentuate her already long legs.
Her hair has been straightened and her blue eyes pop with her eye make up.
"So do you bestie." I say as we lock arms and walk out of her room and into the party.
"Mine." I hear as my green eyes meet grey ones.
