It was a sound plan. And Eric knew it.
"You do realize the vampires will want something out of this too right?"
"Of course. We are going to offer them the human. You get Angelia, and I keep the position as leader. Everybody wins."
A prevailing silence hung between them for a moment. Eric was only just pretending to think calmly, but Bella was not one to be fooled. She could tell that in his mind's eye, he was already seeing his revenge against Alex. Plus, he got to keep Angelia. This was a deal too sweet to pass up.
Finally, Eric issued his final address;
"I like it. We have a deal."
And with that, a partnership, and a secret alliance was formed between two unlikely parties. Bella returned home triumphantly, while Eric began to make plans for the next endeavor.
