Vanessa was right. The enemy's timely intervention had sabotaged the mission completely. In fact, the moment Silent Stab had gotten involved, it was already over. There was no time to go lurking around, looking for Alex.
As she turned her back on the entire mission, she hoped against hope that Alex would survive. The loss would be to catastrophic the young talent was wasted at all.
Had Mina known what would happen next, she would have been thankful she had stayed to witness it. Although, it would have probably been her end as well.
Vanessa waited for a full minute before she released her trump card. Using her gifted sight to make sure that Mina's presence had completely receded in the distance, she took the entire battlefield by storm.
