Coming up with a plan
Jasmine POV
I looked at him slowly till I was staring into his eyes.
"Please let me go" I said more like a whisper but he just continued staring at me. I thought about what I just said and it sounded like that of a kid.
"I want you,I need you Jaz" he finally said with his eyes roaming every part of my body like that of a hungry lion. Before I could stop him,our lips met. Our lips kept on exploring each other's mouth and I couldn't even stop him. He pulled me more tightly to him, kissing me more hungrily. I disengage from the kiss before I get lost in it.
"Tonight is really the wrong time, someone is coming" I told him and he groaned, straightening up.
"Is she coming?" Donald asked, popping his head through the door.
"No," I said.
"Yes" Josh said and I rolled my eyes. Donald nodded, giving Josh a thumbs up.
"Is it a yes or no?" Josh asked for a scoff.
"It's a no," I insisted.
"You want to prove stubborn right? Then I will have to tickle you until you accept,, so you can go bro. Will meet you guys downstairs" Josh and Donald smirked. I can tell he told Josh I would do anything instead of being tickled with that smirk on his face.
"Are you going or you want me to tickle you?" Josh asked bossingly.
"Fine!" I glared at him and went to the changing room. I wanted to wear bum shorts but I stopped remembering Josh staring at my thighs a while ago. Does that turn him on also? I thought changing to a white leggings and a black baggy top.
"I could recollect looking for this top" he said scrutinising me and I smirked at him. He only wore the top once before I took it from him.
"Let's go," I said instead.
"That's called petty stealing babe but it looks good on you though" we got to the living room and met them eating. I ignored them and pulled Josh with me to the refrigerator.
"You guys ate everything,like for real?" I glared at them as my stomach grumbled and they scoffed.
"It's in the microwave," Donald replied.
"Better,so I noticed in the video that the lady's hair is not as long as that of Charlotte and it's not as dark as…" I couldn't complete the sentence when a call came in.
"It's an unknown number," Alex said.
Alex POV
"It's so rare for people to call me with my Iphone. Only families have the number" I said.
"Check the caller ID,don't you have a true caller?" I stared at the screen again and it said Damien . I told them it's Damien and picked the call
I waited for a few seconds.
"Hello Mr. Blake" the voice said. That voice I've been longing for forever to hear. It's my love's voice,Charlotte.
"Hiii!" We all said excitedly.
"Let's do a video call please" Jasmine pleaded and Charlotte laughed out loud.
"Okay babe' she disconnected the call and Jasmine screamed and ran round the chair excitedly. She called again through a video call and I picked even before it could ring.
"My gosh babe how have you been?" Jasmine said excitedly, blocking us all with her head and we all pushed her head off.
"You guys can connect to a system" Charlotte admonished and we all obeyed. That's my Charlotte. Always having a solution to everything.
"Happy birthday to you" we all sang for her and she smiled.
"Thanks guys even though it's past 1 already" I checked the time and mouthed an ``oh.
" How did it happen and who is Damien?" I demanded trying not to show my jealousy. Is it the same Damien the lady in my house has a tattoo in her hand?
"He is the don" she replied and I heard a very loud bang on my head. What the hell is really happening and how come she sounded fine.
"Relax,he is a nice guy," she said.
"Now I know my bestie has lost it,what the f!ck are you saying babe" Jasmine screamed while the orders waited for her reply.
"It's a long story but I will cut it short. Well the Don abducted me but he didn't hurt me,he told me he was after Mr. Blake's properties…" I did not allow her to finish her sentence.
"So that's why he kidnapped you…what has that gotten to do with you?" I scoffed.
"Can you just please stop interrupting her please?" Donald said and I faced the screen again.
"After some months he told me his mom is the reason behind all he is doing which I saw the evidence…and other shocking news…" she said and trailed off.
"Come" she whispered and a guy came to view on the screen.
"His name is Damien Blake" Did I just hear Blake? Maybe I didn't hear her well.
"Which of the Blake's?" I demanded to be sure of what I just heard.
"Your dad's son,he has another son and it's the woman who now wants his properties else she's gonna kill me and Camille's sister" she said.
"And who is Camille?" Josh asked, eating the cake I bought.
"The girl in our home" she said and I smiled at the word 'our home' . Everything seems too huge to take in today. I Can't believe dad can still be unfaithful to someone as devoted as my mom. Well he is surely going to hear it really huge from me. I thought angrily.
"Hey" Damien said and I stared at him. So he is my step brother.
"Hi," I said when Josh nudged me.
"So we have a plan and this is how we want our plans to go" she explained everything to us and we nodded.
"Thanks so much bro for taking good care of Charlotte, my stubborn but sweet wife," I said and he laughed. We really got along well within an hour after Charlotte had told us the plan. The others are asleep already.
"I must say she's really stubborn, trust me" I said and we both laughed while Charlotte frowned the most.
"Hope the baby is kicking?" I teased and she frowned.
"Andrew was just pulling your legs that day,I aint pregnant" she said and I smiled.
Charlotte POV
I felt it's time to know if he truly loves me. I wonder why he smiled and really hope he doesn't get my pretending face. I'm on a dining chair so he could not see my stomach. We are alone. Damien looked at me and I glared at him not to interfere.
"Stop pulling my legs wifey" he said smiling and I deepened the frown.
"I'm dead serious,the baby is gone" I said, faking sadness in my voice.
" You just choked while saying Mrs. Charlotte Blake," he said and I smiled.
"I'm serious but wait, shouldn't you be excited? You never wanted a baby the last time I checked" I pressed further and he looked away.
"Heck! I badly wanted a baby,I just thought it was too sudden and besides I was fighting my feelings for you then but I failed. I also want to be fully ready so as not to be like dad. I'm sorry I said those hurtful words to you,I realised how madly I am in love with you within these three months of your absence. Bro,she is lying right?" He asked. I winked at him not to talk but he refused.
"Yep,safe and bouncing bro,stop winking at me Mrs. Blake" he said and Alex smiled.
"Just run for your life when I end this call" I'm going to kîll him today.
"I apologise for her bossy behaviour bro" Alex joked. We talked and laughed and talked.
"It's 5am babe,you need to rest,our baby needs rest" I checked the time and gasped. I disconnected the call and smiled. He said baby or no baby,he still loves me and that's all that matters. We hired a secret doctor who always comes to check up on me. I stood up and tried straightening my stiffened legs due to the long conversation.
I saw Damien sleeping on a couch. Seems he was waiting for me to end my call. I woke him up and he went to his room while I went to mine. I must say Damien is a really nice person. Despite the fact that he wasn't trained well by his mom,he still trained himself. I strongly hope our plans work well because I can't wait to see Alex and the rest.
Alex POV
I got to my parents house and met the trio watching a program. I glared at dad and greeted mom. I sat beside Val ignoring dad like he doesn't exist. The fact he even rejected Damien is upsetting me and I'm just trying to keep my cool.
"What's up bro" Val greeted.
"We need to talk," I said instead. I left upstairs with Val and I could feel our parent's haze on us. I don't give a f!ck though.
"Mehn…thank goodness you came,dad insisted I watched the boring show with him" she said breathing out relief.
"We've found the real Charlotte" I said calmly and she screamed.
"O.M.G! Where is she right now,let's go…" gosh! Valerie and her childish behaviour. She stopped screaming when I rolled my eyes at her.
"She was abducted and the person requested for dad's properties before releasing her" I said and she calmed herself down.
"So what's the plan?" She asked.
"Well,we need photocopies of dad's property papers but I don't even know where it is," I said and sighed.
"Don't tell me your plan is to sign the properties for the person" she said and I stared at her. She is really growing. My sister has grown up.
"Do I look like I have a choice,dad deserves it anyway for rejecting his own blood. Maybe I'm doing it because of his infidelity to mum" I said angrily.
"What are you talking about?" She looked so confused and I explained all that happened to her. She was also shocked and for the first time,I saw her looking hurt.
"Then we get to search his study room" she replied and we left for his study room.
Thirty minutes already and no fruitful result of where dad's property is. We were tired already but we can't rest yet without seeing the result.
"Let's check the small drawers," Val suggested. I stared at them doubting if dad could put them here. They are abandoned drawers but we still checked anyway.
"I think I found it" Val said and I scurried off to her side.
"Good job" we said and shook hands. We arranged everything as it was and made it go. We opened the door and met dad and mom at the door. Dad stared at us both then at the papers on my hands and I shrugged holding Val's hands.
"What are you both up to?" Mum said to the papers on my hand.
"Your property papers are needed" I said and they both gasped.
"Your dad's whole life,needed for what exactly"mom asked.
"Maybe you should ask your husband who rejected his baby and now the baby's mom abducted Charlotte and demanded for his properties!" I shot back.
"Charlotte has been abducted again?" Mom demanded surprise.
"The Charlotte you saw is a counterfeit,the real Charlotte is in Mrs. Tamara custody" I said and dad went cold
"We need to talk. Dad, you definitely have an explanation for this , don't you?" Val said and we entered their room. Val and I sat opposite mom and dad.
"So you're saying Mrs. Tamara was the woman you wanted to marry before your parents forced you to marry mom" val said and he nodded. That means Damien is older than me. She was pregnant with him a few days before my dad got married. I'm kinda feeling bad right now because I jumped to conclusions without even asking him about it.
"I'm sorry dad we just jumped to conclusions without finding out what really happened" Val said and pulled me to apologise but I played ignorant.
"We will make a duplicate of this and I will return it,bye for now mom and dad" Val said and pulled me out.
Valerie POV
"Such an arrogant brother,you took after that when it comes to that" I teased Alex and he chuckled.
"I would have taken that as a compliment but I don't wanna take after dad in anything" he replied and I laughed.
"I have a suggestion though" I said and he told me to go on.
"Instead of involving the cops who might be connected to her and might give her information, why don't we involve Bryan's brother?" I suggested.
"Is he a…"
"Detective" I completed.
"I love this visit" Bryan said hugging me so tight and Alex just stood there watching.
"Stop it Bryan,we still talked yesterday. Is Damien around" I asked and he said no and greeted Alex.
"When will he be back?" Alex demanded. He brought out his phone and dialled Damien's number which he picked at second ring
"He promised to be back in two hours,can you wait till then?" He asked and Alex nodded. I knew he was in love with Charlotte from the set. The Alex I Know won't wait for just anybody but enjoys lots of people waiting for me. He came back a few minutes after 7 and we told him all the necessary things.
"So I will have to be in Mexico in three days' time,I just hope I won't be busy. But for Charlotte's sake let's do this"
