Around three weeks after our lovemaking, I went to Damian’s place to take my belongings home. I had done this several times as I had a lot of stuff here, but I made sure not to see him at all the times I’d been here. He had texted me a few times asking me to come back, but I didn’t reply. As much as I wanted to feel his arms around my body, I fought back the urge. I didn't know how to face him after what had happened.
I opened the front door and stopped on my track. The sight in front of me was unusual. Damian had a few of his friends over, a small gathering of men and women, maybe around fifteen or twenty of them.
I saw Damian standing in front of the tv with a woman wrapping her arms around his waist. He whispered something in the woman’s ear, and the woman laughed. The woman then kissed him on his lips.
