The gate of Jeremiah’s house wasn't locked, so we went straight to the front door; with Damian knocking on the door.
After some time had passed, the door was opened, and I cowered behind Damian. The person who opened it was none other than the devil in disguise. He had a gentle appearance, but only I knew his other face, the vicious one.
“Well, hello, Damian,” my demon said as if he had done nothing wrong.
“Oh, hello, Uncle,” he greeted Rai’s dad with a gentle smile when he noticed Rai’s dad's presence.
“And hello, Leah,” he greeted me last.
“Come on in,” he opened the door wider and ushered us in.
I kept myself close to Damian. That gentle face was still able to make my body tremble from fear. We all took a seat in the living room.
“Are you all here to witness the transfer of Castilles’ shares to me?” he asked, still with that fake gentleness.
I kept my gaze on the floor, afraid to look at the demon in front of me.
