“You look great, Leah. Oh wait.. Should I call you Kat now?” she asked.
I laughed at her. “You look great too, Aliyah. You should call me Leah,” I told her. She was one of my old friends, there was no need for her to call me Kat.
“Where’s your boy?” she asked.
“He needs to go to his grandparents’ house. He has a piano lesson, and he doesn't want to miss it. Sorry about that, but that boy loves his piano too much,” I explained and apologized to her.
“There’s no need to apologize. We can always meet another time,” she said with a smile.
“Where’s your baby?” I asked. She had a three-month-old baby, and I could wait to hold her in my arms.
“She’s here somewhere with her dad. Come, let us sit somewhere,” she said while leading me to a table.
We chatted about our children until suddenly she asked, “Leah, do you remember the guy that I’d always been trying to introduce to you?”
