“Princess..” I could hear Rai’s voice calling me. He couldn’t be here; it must be my mind playing tricks on me.
“Princess..” he called me again. This time I was sure I wasn’t imagining it.
I looked up and saw him standing near me with his arms open wide, just as they always did when he wanted me to be in his arms.
“Rai..” I stood up and ran into his arms.
“Princess, I’m here.” His arms went around my shoulders to hold me close.
“Rai, I’ve missed you so much.” I sighed in his embrace and held him tight.
“I’ve missed you too, Princess,” he said while kissing the top of my head.
He let go of me, and I at his face. His hand reached to my face, caressing my cheek, and brushed my hair behind my ear. He was really my Rai. I smiled at him, and he smiled softly back.
“Come sit with me, Princess.” He led me to the sofa and sat down, pulling me to sit beside him.
