The driver opened the car door for me, and I quickly stepped out. Keeping my head down, I thanked him and rushed to my door. I was so ashamed of myself.
I went to open my front door and locked it behind me, not wanting Damian to follow me. I threw myself on my bed and sobbed into my pillow. I knew it wasn’t fair to want Damian not to have anyone else for five years. I had Cole, but to be just another one of his conquests hurt. I felt cheap. His driver must be laughing inside at me.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Damian yanked me upright, so I looked at him. He was furious at me. I had forgotten that he had a key to my place.
“If you can ask me that question, then there is something wrong with YOU, not me.” I tried to stand up and get away from him, but his hold on my arm was too strong. I couldn’t get away from him.
“Me? You were the one who went all cold out of a sudden,” he snapped at me.
“And you don’t know why?” I snapped back at him. He was the one who hurt me.
