I nodded with a small smile. "That she is, but I'm worried about that comment she made about masking her energy as a child. Do you think she is worried about something? She clearly hadn't meant to let that comment slip."
Sie shrugged, I knew his mind was busy running with images of him and her together, and his focus was on her scent and beauty rather than the comment she had made. My mind however couldn't stop running through the possibilities of what could have caused a child the need to hide in plain view. "I know the comment bothered me too, but you were right, that it is a conversation for another day. All we can do is speculate without her confirming anything, and I don't feel like she'll be doing that anytime soon. Clearly, she's been masking her energy for years though, reach back now. She's asleep and it's still masked to look like a mortal's. Even in her sleep!"
