" Is there something bothering you Cathy? " Abigail asked her friend who keeps staring outside the window lost in her own world. She noticed that Cathy keeps on frowning which she never has done before.
" Oh, it's nothing. " Cathy said and faked a smile. Abigail wanted to ask more but she choose not to since she know that it was hard for her friend to talk about it.
Cathy quit staring outside the window and organized her things for the last class this afternoon. The time went by and everyone is happy when they heard the bell ring, Abigail invited Cathy to go with them to the karaoke but Cathy refused and went home on her own.
" Did you two fight? " Mike, Abigail's boyfriend and also Cathy's friend ask Abby that she strongly denied. " I didn't you dummy, doesn't look like she's broken than fight with a friend? " Mike thinks it over and later on agreed with her girlfriend.
At Cathy's house, while her mother is preparing for her night shift Cathy is in her room drenching her pillow with her tears.
" Why am I the only one who can remember? " She said while sobbing. " Why did you say those words when you will leave me at the end. " Cathy clutches her chest that is full of pain.
Cathy is powerless on facing a painful chapter in her life. She had someone she cares about the most but went missing after a small misunderstanding.
She started to feel like she is being unlucky and started distancing herself from those who still cares about her.
After a year went by. " I'm sorry Mrs. Perez, your daughter has a brain tumor stage 3 we know it's shocking news but we can do nothing about it. The only thing we could do is try to help her with some treatment," Cathy heard it all. Her mother is sobbing while begging the doctor to do anything.
The doctor assured her mother that they would help her daughter with the best they could do. And when the operation came all of her loved ones even her friend is waiting for her. But she ended up waking on a different bed and a very healthy new body of a 7 year old kid.
