Chapter 46 - The Black Sheep

Gideon walked ahead and looked at me. He stood in front of me and looked at my appearance. "I thought you died..."

"I mean...I kinda did die, but this half-pint here saved my spirit and rebuilt me a new body to where I am a full Deity at this point. You can kinda say the squirt has a soft spot for me." I chuckled and looked at Elysia.

Elysia pouted. "Because it's you, I'll endure your tasteless teasing, but just know with a snap of my fingers I can erase you from existence!"

"But I know you won't." I smirked and made her look at me.

She blushed and scoffed then turned away. "You talk too casually to someone like me...but I kinda like it."

"Enough flirting with my Ragna!" Phoenix blurted out in a jealous manner.

I smiled and looked at Phoenix then stroked her chin. "It's alright, I will still love you all equally..~ That much hasn't changed."

Gideon looked at me then turned around. "At least I know you're okay."

I looked at Gideon then placed my hands in my pockets. "Hey Gid. We should hang around the Capital. I mean we've got so much downtime, we might as well get some bro moments going."

"That sounds good and all, but I actually have an important task to finish. I'm searching for two missing people and once I find them, I'll be able to complete my task." Gideon said then walked off.

I watched him then looked at Freya then Elysia. Elysia shrugged and smiled at me. She looked ahead as she knew fate hadn't changed much regarding Gideon.

Mom stretched and made a soft sound then sighed as she waited outside the Survey Office while Hecate tried to gather as much information about Mistral as she could.

Hecate slammed her hand on the desk. "What do you mean there isn't much you can do for us?!"

"I-I'm deeply sorry ma'am! I just...I have no idea what you're asking of me.." The woman said and pushed up her glasses.

"I'm asking you about where the hell is my niece and nephew! Do I need to put it in simpler terms?!" Hecate bellowed and her eye twitched.

"I-I don't know! I don't even know who you are or who you're asking me about! I promise!" The girl squeaked.

"Poor girl being interrogated by this lunatic.." A guard said.

"Cate, that's enough. Stand down." Mom said and grabbed Hecate's arm then dragged her away from the desk.

"Let me go, Rei! I'm not finished with my questions! I'll be back! I promise you I will return!" Hecate bellowed.

"Geez...Why are you so worked up? They are my children after all." Mom said and looked at Hecate.

"Because I miss Shiryo and Shira! It's been an entire month without seeing their faces!" Hecate said and began to scratch her arm, anxiously. "If they got hurt...I'd destroy the entire planet for them!"

Mom smiled nervously at Hecate and put her hood on then put Hecate's hood on as well. "Well...we aren't getting any form of answers here so we shall search elsewhere."

Hecate sighed and nodded. The two walked off and a hooded figure watched them from a distance. As they walked down the path leading back to the Capital, Mom found herself transported in another dimension. She stopped walking and looked down, noticing she was standing on a large energy circle.

"This is a pretty neat trick...I sense a lot of malice coming from you and you should know that I'm not a patient woman right now. I'm searching for my children...so unless you know where they are, I will kindly ask for you to send me back with my sister." Mom said.

"Your children are grown. They don't need an old hag babying them forever." The person said.

"That voice." Mom said then looked back. "Heh...I can't believe it. It's you Gideon. To think even you will turn your back on your own friend."

"That friend is a hindrance to my plans on becoming the best with the Crest of Renegade coming from the Deity of Betryal...I can freely do as I please to obtain and complete my goals. To become the strongest. I will surpass Shiryo...and set things right." Gideon said then summoned his gauntlets.

"You think to surpass my beloved son, you have to betray him and bite off more than what you can chew? Hmph. Pathetic. Congratulations, you've successfully pissed me off." Mom said then white lightning crackled around her arm. "If you truly desire to fight...I will be more than happy to deliver!"

Gideon looked surprised when Mom vanished. Mom appeared in front of Gideon then punched his stomach. Aura burst from his back and Gideon coughed up blood. He was blown away then Mom appeared behind Gideon and caught his head and blasted him away with a massive energy beam. Gideon groaned and rolled forward then turned around, noticing Mom was gone once again.

"Quit running!" Gideon bellowed.

"Oh I'm not running.." Mom said then appeared behind Gideon then slashed through him with an energy blade then a flurry of slashes hit his body. She swiped her hand to the right and an explosion happened. She looked back and her red eyes shined. "You're messing with the Goddess of Peace, the woman who will help my son save the universe. You're nothing...compared to me.."

Gideon appeared in front of her and used his Flash Strike to try and hit Mom, but grunted when she caught his fist. "H-How..?"

Mom looked at Gideon then sparkles fluttered around him. Gideon felt extremely weak and fell to his knees. He held his head and grunted softly.

"Sleep." She said then Gideon closed his eyes.

Mom as returned to reality and Hecate looked at her. Mom smiled at Hecate. "Sorry, I had to handle some...business."

"I figured, but try to leave some fun for me as well. I've been itchin' to destroy something." Hecate said as they began to walk off once again.

Gideon appeared in the real world once again then fell to his knees. Eclipse appeared in front of him and scoffed. He looked up at her then glared.

"You honestly thought you were going to stand a chance again a woman who was blessed by the Deity of Peace and Battle? Even her sister, who was blessed by the Deity of War is undeniably unbeatable by the likes of you. You were better off trying to fight Shira." Eclipse said. She sighed and placed her hand on her hip, shakingher head. "Now that it's also known that Shiryo is alive once again, that's gonna pose more of a problem for us. I'll tell you what, you go assist Achluo...I will handle Shiryo."

Gideon noticed she licked her lips then stood up. "You...You aren't going to handle him. You're going to try and convert him to our side?"

"It'll be a waste to kill someone like him. Tehom doesn't realize it, but he can help us enter the Promised Land and overthrow Elysia. Plus, he's pretty hot so why not? He's already a Deity. I know you felt it...His power level." Eclipse smiled and transformed into her disguise then walked off. "I want him. He's too valuable.."

Gideon watched her and glared. He warped away.

"Finally we are in the stupid library.." Elysia sighed.

"It's your fault for getting us lost in the first place." I said then gently hit the top of her head.

"Oww! Why must you always hit my head..?" Elysia whined and held her head.

I smiled and walked off. "Entertain the ladies while I go find the books I need."

Elysia watched me walk off then sighed. She looked at Esta and the others then decided to try and befriend them.

I looked around for a book about Mistral, a book about Organization Khaos, and a book about some random facts about L'Areus. I searched and searched but I couldn't find anything on the topic.

"It seems like you need help..~" A woman's voice said from behind me.

I looked back then got a glimpse of the beautiful librarian who stood behind me. She had long light brown hair that was styled in a low ponytail, beautiful emerald colored eyes, and wore an enchanting smile on her face. She wore a white and blue dress with dark colored stockings, black heels, and lace gloves that extended to her elbows.

"Gosh...hasn't someone told you it's rude to stare so intently at someone?~" She said and giggled, looking away a bit.

"Oh- I'm sorry, it's just I was..." I rubbed the back of my head. It was the first someone has thrown me for a loop with their looks.

She placed a finger on my lips and smiled. "I know what you are here for. I noticed you with the Ruler of Elysium. You are the Hero of Beginning or at the very least his reincarnation. Your power level is quite formidable. The books you seek are in the forbidden library, but only I hold the keys to that section, however, I will not just let anyone into the Secret Library even if they are an important figure."

"What should I do then..?" I asked.

The woman held her arms then looked down. "You see, one of my books was stolen by a very peculiar mage. She happens to work with this Organization named Organization Khaos. She works under Achluo and I need that book back because it actually holds the secrets about the Six Sacred Elemental Queens of Mistral and their locations."

"Six Elemental Queens.." I said then had a flashback of the Six Sacred Guardians. I held my head and grunted softly. I lowered my hand then looked at the woman. "Hmph...I'll help you retrieve that book back. You seem knowledgeable about the Organization as well. I will need to pick your brain a bit."

"By all means do, Sacred Hero." The woman smiled. "By the way, my name is Eliza."

"Eliza. Well my name is Shiryo. Shiryo Serene." I smiled.

"Serene...What a peculiar surname. Where have I heard that last name from?" Eliza said then shook her head. "Whatever, that doesn't matter right now. Follow me, I'll lead you to where people have said the mage was last spotted."

I nodded and we hurried off. I looked at Elysia and the others. "I'll be back!"

"Where are you going?" Shira asked.

"I'm going on a mission to help the librarian retrieve her missing book. I won't be long." I said then ran off.

"Already on a mission it seems." Freya smiled. "Things just don't change about him."

Eliza rented out a small car and we got into the car and she drove off. "It is said this mage has been blessed with Tehom's power just like the rest of the main Organization Leaders. Her name is Levia and she's not one to be underestimated. Make sure to give it your all alright?"

I nodded and looked out the window. "I won't hold anything back." I said and looked at my Origin Crest of Absolution.

Eliza looked at my Crest and rose an eyebrow. She looked back at the road. "That Crest. It's like nothing I've ever seen before. I know by the white shine of it that it's an Origin Crest, but what Crest is it?"

"It's the strongest Crest a mortal like me can wield with the permission of Elysia herself. Not even the first True Hero has wielded this Crest...It's the Origin Crest of Absolution. I haven't even used it, but I was told once at max awakening...I could have enough power to beat a certain someone." I said.

"A certain someone? Who might that be?" Eliza asked.

"Her name is Galatea." I said.

Eliza grunted and looked surprised. "G-Galatea? The Ruler of the Universe of Aeraterra?"

"You know her?" I asked.

"Galatea is the most fearsome woman in history, said to be even stronger than Tehom at full strength. Even Elysia was afraid of her, but the first True Hero managed to make Galatea retreat. I don't know about you, but if you plan to fight her...you have to make sure you're absolutely ready for a battle." Eliza said.

"Don't worry." I smiled and looked at my Crest. "I'll be more than ready...Striking her down is more important then my survival. If she dies, Elysium is safe."

Levia sat on a rock and read the book about the Six Sacred Elemental Queens. Achluo and Gideon walked up to her and Achluo looked at the book.

"How did you manage to even get this book?" Achluo asked.

"A woman like me knows her ways around the heart of the naive librarian. All it took was a simple distraction. With this book, we can find and kill the Queens before anyone else finds them and warns them." Levia said.

"Hmph. That won't be needed." Achluo said then looked at the sky. "However, we need to set up. Our main targets need to be eliminated for us to finally have a winning chance in this war."

Levia closed the book and sighed. "I almost forgot about setting up. Well...I guess I'll help." She tossed the book to Gideon and he caught it.

The three began to set up for their big attack. They planned to destroy L'Areus and eliminate everyone who was a threat to Organization Khaos.
