FLASHBACK
"GIANNE!"
"WHAAT!?"
"Nothing!" Liam burst out laughing, still clutching his stomach.
"Come on! Sama kana kasi! It's so masaya there!" (Come on! It's okay! It's so fun there!)
The girl laughed at the way he spoke Tagalog.
But she is thinking about whether she will join the Piyesta de Vimos in their town.
She sighed and raised her sleeve, sitting on the pallet.
"Alam mo namang hindi ako papayagan ng papang" (You know that father won't allow me) she pointed out to her grandfather.
Liam frowned in front of her.
She and Liam have known each other for more than eight months, Liam's mother is a haciendera, and the famous Hacienda Layla is indeed the only legacy of the only child of Don Leo Aguilar, Layla's father who is Liam's mother.
The Aguilar family is kind, and Gianne's father and mother work for them. Her grandfather is also a butler, and he takes care of Liam in Australia.
"Then I'll tell to your papang." (papang - grandfather)
Her eyebrows make a one line when Liam messed her hair which really annoyed her.
She actually has a saying 'Mess my folded clothes, don't just my hair.'
The girl couldn't stop hitting him on the arm and trying to reach his head to take a revenge.
In the middle of their silly fight, the other girl is watching them. She is sitting in a wheelchair, and she smiles broadly.
They stopped when she hem. They both turned around.
"Hi Liam." Greetings from the girl.
"Geanna." Liam said and approached the girl on a wheelchair.
"G-gianne! Why are you frowning?" Geanna asked.
revealed to be Gianne's twin.
"Liam messed up my hair!" she complain like a child to her twin.
"You'd better just go back to Australia! You're not messing up my life, but you're messing up my hair!" Gianne cried.
She was even more annoyed when the young man just laughed.
"I didn't mean it, you're just cute." Liam said, keeping her quiet.
She smiled and turned her back to the two of them and fixed her hair, but the truth is that she didn't want to show her red cheeks at what Liam said.
"Oh my gosh! I thought you were preparing for the festival---Hi Gianne!"
She turned around when another young man called out to her.
"A-adam!"
Liam wondered about her.
"Why is your face so pink?" He frowned.
"Because I hate what you did, hmmp!" Gianne crossed her hands.
END OF FLASHBACK
Gianne hugged her knees and looked into the void while her tears welled up.
The door opened and a wide smile revealed Liam carrying a tray full of food and three paper bags.
He put the tray on the bed while Gianne still looked the same.
Liam sat across from her and gave her a kiss on the forehead.
"I have a gift! Tadaah! " and showed the large paper bags he had brought earlier.
She didn't react, and he frowned.
"Hey, don't you like this?" and tearfully presented the paper bags.
She moved her eyes and looked at the paper bag and the tray of food, and her eyes were straight at Liam.
These looks are blank.
"Y-You don't like it? Why don't you open it? " and softly rubbed Gianne's arm.
She just push away his hand.
His jaw move.
"What's your problem?"
She looked up at Liam again and smirked at him.
"What do you think?" A silly smile drew on her lips.
Liam quickly raised his hand but it stopped in the air. He couldn't move them because of the looks Gianne is giving, as if she was ready for what he would do.
"What?" Gianne abrupt, seriously. "Slap me, that's what you're good at, aren't you?" she told him.
Liam's palm was still in the air and it was stiff.
"Hurt me!"
She clenched her fists and grab Liam's hand.
When she was touched, she hit Liam's hand on herself.
It continued like that and didn't stop. Liam was dumbfounded but came back to his senses when he heard a loud cry.
"Why aren't you hurting me!?"
Liam suddenly kisses her.
"I'm sorry." The words he said were soft and sincere, and he kissed her head.
"Don't be sorry when you already did!"
"I'm sorry, love" He apologized again and rubbed Gianne's back, who gradually calmed down but couldn't stop the tears.
"You know what, just kill me." He clung to Liam's clothes and balled a fist, "That's where it's going though, rather than feel this." She pulled away and pointed at her chest.
Liam shook his head at what she was doing. He grabbed her hand, but she avoided it.
His heart is breaking as he watches his love suffer as a result of his heinous actions. He can't take seeing her in pain, but he already did the things that have been done.
It's like a heartbreak to his ears, the crying sounds Gianne makes.
He wants to calm down. He wants to breathe. He wants to control it.
He wants to be normal for this time and is hoping not to stop that 'normal' and hoping it doesn't last.
"I deserve this." Gianne's breaking. "What did I do?" She brushed her hair.
Then Liam hits. He remembers his purpose, why he is doing all this. But it keeps fighting between his mind, body, and heart.
"Is it because on what I did six years ago?" She gave a lazy look and a question was written all over her.
"Because of Adam?" She washes her face in frustration. "Because of your wrong motives, you won't let me explain---
"Then why did you say YES when I asked about YOU and HIM before?" Liam asked, confused.
"I did it," she mumbled and looked away, "on purpose." she added.
He separated from her. His face couldn't believe what she's telling.
"That's insane." He shook his head "You just played me." He coldly gasp.
Because of that, Gianne quickly turned around.
"You're the one who played me!"
Liam restrained himself. He sighed and walked to the door, but before he could get out, he spoke again.
"Change your clothes and eat the food." he said without looking back and went out.
When he got out, he went downstairs and went to the kitchen.
He took a deep breath and rested both hands on the sink, then raised his head and closed his eyes.
He looked at the cake he ordered earlier and threw it away.
He went upstairs and stopped at the threshold and stared at the hallway with five doors. His eyes stopped at the second door where Gianne is. He started walking and passed the second door and went straight to the fourth door, where there was another staircase.
It's different from the door where he took Gianne to the vintage room. Yes, he calls it the vintage room. Because Gianne loves vintage vibes.
When he opened it, he went up and was passing through a rather dark hallway with two doors on the right and left. He entered the left door. He took a deep breath and sat on his swivel chair and looked at the big and wide monitor. He saw the girl eating.
Yes, he put CCTV in every room.
He is watching her deeply on the screen.
Later, he stood up and opened the cabinet containing different variants of beer in cans. But he ignored those and opened a small drawer. He took the transparent box.
"FUCK!" he cuss, when he saw that there was only a little more of it inside the box. He really needs it.
He didn't know the name of this medicine, so he looked for a piece of paper. He opened it, and he breathed a sigh of relief knowing he hadn't thrown away the prescription.
