Chapter 6 - ESCAPE 5

GIANNE's POV

"Mom? "Why does Aunt Oli need to travel to the United States?"Ganna asked.

I sat her next to me and combed her long hair using my hand. We sat on the bench here inside the airport while we waited for Oli with Aunt Vivian and Johan. It's ironic because we arrived here before the person leaving.

"There's an important matter that she needs to do, and she'll fix it as soon as possible." I explained.

"Okay?" she said, confused.

"Your will be coming home." I said and turned around.

I saw Johan waving. I stood up and greeted them with a hug. I haven't seen Aunt and Johan in a long time. Even when we came back, I couldn't even visit.

" GIANNE?" He said in disbelief and put his palm to his mouth and looked at me from head to toe, "YOU ARE SO GORGEOUS!" he praised and couldn't believe what he was seeing, I laughed and slightly hit him on the arm.

"You're so tall!" and faced him and tiptoed. It seems like just yesterday that he was up to my neck.

Before Olivia's flight, we just talked. I also introduced Ganna to them. I also talked to Aunt Vivian about the past years. They were very happy and did nothing but talk to my daughter.

Even though I can see their surprise reaction when the conversation is about Ganna, I understand a lot and I am really grateful to Olivia for telling the story. No one knows about Ganna except my family, Olivia, and my co-workers.

While staring at them, I noticed that Olivia was anxious.

I approached her and asked if she was okay. She looked at me before answering me,

"I'm very okay," and a small smile drew on her lips, but she still didn't let go of staring at me.

I hugged her because I knew that everything was not okay. Now her eyes were sideways.

I stroked her back, "Everything's going to be okay... soon," I said to somehow calm her down. I heard her sniffing.

I faced her and touched her cheek and wiped away the tears. I hate seeing tears.

"You need to be strong, not for others but for yourself." I said.

We made the most of the conversation for a few more minutes. When it was time for Olivia's flight, we sadly say our goodbye's.

I'm really thinking about the union of Ganna and Olivia. I just shook my head. Olivia is such a brat, but you can really see how a person changes over time.

Sometimes, you don't change for the people, but you change because that's what your inside telling you and you need to fill it. Because you are the only one who feels what is best for you, it's okay if it's not right.

An hour later, Aunt Vivian was still with us. They offered us a ride because they knew we didn't bring our car, but I refused.

because Ganna wants to go to the Amusement park.

We said goodbye to them and were waiting for a taxi.

"Mom, do you have to work tomorrow again?" ganna asked.

"Yes baby, why?"

"Can I come with you?" and why? "You have class tomorrow, ganna." I said, I don't know what's with her.

"I just want to see Aunt Tina and Aunt Xyril." I was surprised. She didn't mention them to me.

"And why?" I ask and look at her. She really looks like a four-year-old; she has this angelic face and a soft vibe like she's not six years old. I really love this little girl.

I knelt in front and put the strand of her hair behind her ear.

"After your class, baby, mommy will pick you up. Is that okay? " A smile immediately appeared on her lips. I kissed her cheek and stood up.

She said something else, but I didn't hear and understand when my cellphone suddenly rang.

"Wait, baby, okay? Mommy's just gonna pick up this call. "

When I saw it was just an unknown number, I frowned. Who could it be? I thought only a few people knew my number and the people I gave it to.

My business number is different from my personal number, so it's also impossible to get it from my co-workers.

I don't entertain unknown calls. I ended it.

I took Ganna's hand. But my cellphone still ringing. I just let it go until we got on taxi.

But even the driver looks annoyed on my phone ringing. What does it need!?

What the hell, I took it again. This is another number. I thought again that it might be really important, so I answered.

"Hello?" i answer.

Just as the car stopped, I held the phone to my ear and shoulder and opened the door.

"Careful," while supporting my daughter, Ganna was happy with what she was seeing even though she hadn't gotten out yet.

The cellphone fell on the car floor when I reached to give our fare, and when I picked it up, the call was lost.

When I bowed, I suddenly felt dizzy and felt my body a little numb and weak.

"Mom? are you fine? "You're cold," ganna said as she gripped my palm.

"You want to buy some food? Where do you want to go?" I just asked him.

I suddenly felt like this. There is a part of my body that wants to go home, and even if I want to go home, I promised ganna that I would take her for a walk.

Eventually I shook off my feelings, ganna pulled my hand and we stopped at a candy shop.

This kid is really, as long as it's colorful it's attractive for her.

"I want this tiny pink here, mom? Please?" her eyes flashed as she pointed to the location of the different types of candy.

I looked at her and pinched on the nose, "Okaaaay~"

"Wait for me, okay?" she nodded.

While buying the candy, it suddenly ran to the adjacent shop. I looked at it and the shop was full of stuffed toys. I smiled.

"Is this all, ma'am?" I turned to the woman and smiled at her and nodded. "We also have unicorn candy, it's new ma'am." Really? Of course, what else can i do?

"Alright, I'll take it." I'm sure ganna will like it too.

When I gave the payment and thanked her, I checked to see if it was completed and then called ganna.

"Here's your candy ganna," I happily said,

When I looked at the nearby store, there's no ganna laid my eyes. Here we go again. I sighed.

Maybe it's just nearby because that's the way that kid is. We are always like this wherever we go. As long as she sees beautiful things she runs after me. But she knows what the limit is, but I still can't help but worry and feel like I'm about to have a heart attack.

What a naughty girl, jusmio.

"Ganna?" I call even if people can hear me.

I looked around the nearby stores because I knew my she wouldn't go far. I watched every store she could go to.

"Ganna?" I called again,

But a few minutes ago, there was no one who would have called, 'I'm here mommy' now. I was suddenly nervous. Where could she be?

I panicked around the area that it was possible for ganna to go, but I couldn't bear it anymore, so I approached the woman who was selling candies earlier, I told her to let me know if a child returns to that shop.

I quickly walked around the park, I didn't see my daughter's shadow. I asked questions to every person I passed.

I could feel my chest thumping so very fast, as if it was going to spit out very fast as I looked for ganna. I am searching the whole park but a single strand of her hair? nothing. I didn't know what to do, I tightly hugged the paper bag containing ganna's candies.

My eyes roll around, but I have to stop.

Where is she?

I stopped when my phone rang, I ignored it and tried to find security, but it still didn't stop ringing, so I answered it, annoyed.

"Please! whoever you are! I'm busy! " I was about to hang up, but I was stopped by the words of the person on the other line, causing my whole body to shake.

"So...she's my daughter."

I don't know where to get strength, I can't understand what I was feeling before. I'm just stunned. Well, this is how I feel, but it's not because I feel pestle.

"I've been calling you," he grinned. I heard him grin. "But you managed to ignore me?"

I couldn't hold it anymore and my body gave out. This voice is very familiar to me, and I can't be mistaken; I found myself slowly sitting on the floor while people stared at me. But I don't care.

I need my daughte and this voice. This is the person my whole life I haven't wanted to hear. These people, I tried to bury in oblivion until the year that passed. I am still burying them.

"She's silently sleeping and..." I didn't wait for what he was going to say next, and I cried when I heard, "she looks like a mix of you and me."
