Cleansing Your Chakras 🪬 The phrase "chakra" comes from the Sanskrit word for "wheel or disc," it refers to a spinning sphere of bioenergetic activity that radiates outward from the spinal column from the major nerve ganglia.
Chakras are the concentrated energy centers of the body that align the spine, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head. The chakras are considered to be points or nexuses of biophysical energy, or prana, in the human body.
Although there are hundreds of minor chakras, or energy centers, in the body, there are seven major chakras that are commonly associated with specific areas of the body and emotions: the Root Chakra, the Sacral Chakra, the Solar Plexus Chakra, the Heart Chakra, the Throat Chakra, the Third Eye Chakra, and the Crown Chakra.
Each chakra has its own vibrational frequency, color, and element and governs specific functions in the body.
Chakras can be used as a tool to release emotions and access our unconscious mind. The more you work with them, the more you will understand how they work and how to use them for your benefit. They are the openings for life energy to flow into and out of our auras. Their purpose is to energize the physical body and promote the growth of our consciousness.
Blocked chakras can lead to illness, so it's important to understand what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely and to keep the chakras in balance so as not to disrupt any areas of your life.
Chakra cleansing is a way of eliminating the blockages that prevent your natural flow of energy, returning you to a state of balance and health.
After a long day at work or a particularly emotional time in your life, it is important to take some time for yourself and your chakras.
By learning how to balance your chakras with simple techniques like meditation and mindful breathing, you can improve your well-being physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Chakra cleansing is a wonderful way to rejuvenate your body, mind, and spirit! You can do these exercises at any time during the day or night, but you should not do them just before bedtime. It is best to do them when you are awake, alert and focused on the process.
There are many ways to clean the chakras. Meditation is a great way to clean the chakras and is the most powerful method. Different exercises that can be used to clean your chakras are yoga, martial arts, tai chi, and qigong.
Chakra cleansing meditation
Chakra cleansing meditation is an easy way to keep your seven chakras in balance. It can be done in any comfortable position and can be as short or long as you want.
You can do it with your eyes open or closed, but I prefer to do it with my eyes closed.
The first step is to inhale, holding your breath for a few seconds before exhaling slowly.
I like to hold my breath for the number of seconds that corresponds to the chakra I am working on. So, for example, when I am working on my root chakra, I will hold my breath for one second. When I get to my crown chakra, I will hold it for seven seconds.
The next step is to visualize white light flowing into the chakra you are working on through the inhalation and black smoke flowing out of the chakra through the exhalation.
You can also breathe and out in the corresponding colors of each chakra.
Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga comprises various postures or asanas that target different areas of your body. The asanas focus on opening up the body parts that are blocked or closed down. Breathing exercises called pranayama also help in clearing the energy blockages in your body.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is an exercise from China that involves slow movements and deep breathing. This exercise helps you focus on your breath and movements, which helps clear up any negative energy blocks in your body and allows the chi (energy) to flow freely throughout the body.
Martial Arts
Martial arts help you move your chi energy through different movements that keep you fit, at peace with yourself and connected to your inner being.
Qigong
Qigong is a Chinese form of healing that uses controlled breathing techniques along with movements like martial arts and other meditative practices to heal and cleanse your body spiritually as well as physically by bringing awareness to the chi and controlling its flow in very slow movements. It's about slowing down, and being fully anchored into the present moment while consciously moving the chi energy through the body through the breath.
Consider trying each of these easy-to-do chakra cleansing methods with the help of a teacher. You will feel so much lighter and refreshed afterward, and the mundane tasks that await you will seem a little less daunting.
Also, remember that although you can do these practices at home, you may find a more relaxing environment and a more powerful experience if you try them in nature: by a river, on the beach, or under a tree.
