Chapter 6 - 005 - The Beginning After The End (5)

Faerie opened her eyes and mouth wide. "W-What?!"

"Oh my gosh, you are so slow."

The black ball flew up and down like it was calming its emotions.

"Listen. You didn't die at first, but it was because of your comments that you died. Aah-hh~ more precisely half dead?" That suspicious black ball sound naughty.

Faerie was stunned for a moment. "...What's the difference between half dead and dead?"

"No. No. That's not what I should ask!" Faerie shakes her head.

"Just because of that comment?!" Faerie's voice is full of tones of disbelief.

"..." Faerie could only remain silent with a closed mouth because the black ball did not give the slightest response to her protest actions.

'Seriously? I'm ... dead? Because of my silly comment?'

"Ah," Faerie scratched clumsily at the back of her head as if she refused to understand the black ball's word, "so... Did I die because of a comment?"

"Yes."

"... Not because of the explosion?"

"The mysterious explosion came about because of your comment."

"Uh... Eh... Oh...." Faerie became like a broken robot because it couldn't think or digest anything anymore after hearing that brief and concise explanation.

Slap!

Faerie slapped her on both cheeks hard enough for her brain to resume functioning.

'Keep calm Faerie! You already know all of this sounds ridicolous. I can't be fooled easily!'

'How could an explosion appears just because of a silly comment!'

"Doesn't that comment only apply if it's liked by a million people?"

The black ball nodded in agreement. "Right. Your comment has been liked by millions... Hmm... Maybe more? I didn't check it again."

"How so?! I've made sure that it's an old website that no one visits anymore!!"

The black ball swirled over and over again like it was mocking Faerie. "Who said that those who like your comments are 'human'?"

Faerie opened her stiff mouth. "So... You mean there are many creatures like 'you', besides you?"

"Right."

"And there are millions?"

"More than millions."

"Are they all ugly black balls like you?"

"How dare you!"

"S-Sorry."

Faerie swallowed her saliva.

Hard to believe. But if what it says is true, then what should Faerie do?

There was no way Faerie could persuade the millions of strange creatures to ignore her silly comments.

Faerie stared at the black ball. "You said I was half dead. What does that mean?"

"That means you're on the verge of death! But don't worry! If you agree to this contract..., " The strange black ball gave a pause before continuing his word, "then you can come back to life!"

'Contract?'

To be honest, Faerie didn't quite understand why this strange black ball was so keenly talking about a contract with her.

He's acting suspiciously. The contract in question may contain fraud.

But if Faerie does nothing, she will not be able to die quietly. Faerie could not imagine how upset her grandmother would be if she found out that Faerie died so young for some ridiculous reason.

Without realizing it, Faerie just fell silent because she was busy thinking about what she had to do to pass this strange and mysterious obstacle without the need to contract fraud with a strange black ball.

Faerie didn't think she was so calm when she heard the news that she was dying, where the probability of her death was very high. She even had time to think of something else.

It was as if Faerie didn't care what she died of, still, she died young in the end. Hearing there was a solution to prevent her from dying didn't excite her. She is even more afraid of people who have long been dead.

Her grandmother would rise from the grave and scold her for dying young because of a trivial joke.

'Is it possible that I live alone, so I don't care if I die or not?'

Faerie shook her head as if trying to get rid of the bad thought.

'Grandma, what should I do now?'

Faerie stared at the black ball and its pitch-black surroundings.

Faerie was curious about something and decided to ask. "Why do 'they' like my comments?"

"Don't know. They may be interested in your comment saying that it can turn the 'shity novel' into the best ending."

Faerie raised her hand, hesitating. "I'm sorry, but what is your relationship with that 'shity novel', that you deign to bother like this?"

The black ball flew speeding towards the Faerie and pushed the Faerie's body out of annoyance. However, Faerie's body was not pushed back because the black ball was only the size of a child's Palm.

"Me?! Hah! You're just asking that now? You should have asked this from the beginning!" The black ball started to get angry on its own.

"Listen carefully!"

The ball flew high enough. High enough that Faerie had to raise her head.

"I am the God of the world where the 'shity novel' takes place." When he said that, suddenly a light appeared and illuminated the black ball, making the black ball emit a strange but beautiful sparkle.

Faerie tilted her head, not understanding what the black ball was saying.

"Hmm... If in your world, maybe I could be called a writer? Because you have read the 'shity novel' that I have uploaded on that website."

"You are the writer?!" cried Faerie in disbelief. But after a few moments, the look on her face of disbelief was replaced by another expression.

"Forgive me for being disrespectful and disrespecting your work for calling your novel a 'shity novel'. But to be honest, your novel is really 'trash'. How can you make an ending like that?!" Faerie raised her index finger and pointed boldly at the black ball.

"Hey, son of a b*tch! Didn't you hear my explanation?! Are your ears covered with a lot of earwax?"

The ball sounded very angry, but he immediately calmed down and continued the conversation seriously.

"It's not a novel I'm writing, it's a future that happens over and over again in my world."

"I am only a God who serves as an observer as well as a guardian in that world. I do have the right to change, but I don't want to interfere unless they want to change first."

"Just 'a God who observes and guards the world', you say?" murmured Faerie as she repeated the phrase in her mind for the umpteenth time. Surprisingly, Faerie felt a strange feeling when she heard that sentence, but Faerie decided to ignore it.

The black ball swirled, while deliberately leaving Faerie silent for a few seconds to think about the sentence he had said seriously.

The black ball understood, for a human being his words must have been very surprising and also hard to believe.

Therefore, the black ball wanted his contractor to be able to calm herself down first before they got into the main problem.

"..."

Faerie could only groan no matter how hard she thought about it.

In fact, where did the wrong begin until Faerie ended in this logically impossible situation? Is it from the comments full of nonsense?

[The worst ending in the world. If you, readers, agree with my opinions, gimme a million likes! Maybe there's a miracle for me to be transmigrated into this novel so I can change this shitty ending to becoming the best ending all of the time!]

'Ah! I shouldn't have typed comments like that! Anyone who reads my comments will think I'm challenging the writer! I should have criticized the novel with proper etiquette!'

The atmosphere suddenly became quiet.

"..."

Actually. That's not the main problem here.

Who knew a miracle happened just because of those joke-filled comments?! The miracle that should have been impossible to happen, it turns out she is now experiencing directly!

No.

No.

If only Faerie hadn't read the novel and chosen to go to bed straight away, then this would never have happened!

'Argh! Whatever it is, it's all my fault... And I was also taught by my grandmother to never run away from the problems I had made.' Faerie smiled sadly, thinking of how stupid she was.

Faerie stared at the black ball that still kept circling her like a tame pet.

"Have you calmed down?" asked the black ball after seeing the look in Faerie's eyes that seemed to change drastically.

"Right." Faerie nodded her head.

"You accept it?"

Faerie did not answer, but she stared intently at the black ball.

The black ball stopped circling it and floated still in the air.

"Smart kid." It sounds proud.

"Alright, let's get into the main conversation." said the black ball that made a strange and mysterious sound.

"I came to see you take care of and arrange further agreement contracts."

Faerie nodded her head obediently even though her heart continued to beat violently. "Please continue."

The black ball nodded in satisfaction. "The contract is simple."

"Yes!" Faerie nodded, "what kind of contract are you going to offer me, Lord God?" asked Faerie who was ready to listen to the explanation of the contents of the contract, while preparing a heart that must be ready to accept no matter she is willing or not.

'Because this is an absolute contract that was formed only because of my ridiculous deeds.'

"If you manage to complete the contract, then you can live again."

Faerie winked her eyes in wonder. "Didn't you say I was half dead? How do I get back to life?"

"How? I'll rewind time before you write that comment," he replied in an indifferent tone as if it wasn't a difficult thing.

"Can it happen?! Aren't you only 'a ordinary writer' in my world?!"

The black ball went round. "Indeed. But there's a God like me in your world."

"That God is also one of the millions of Gods who liked your comment. 'He' agreed to give a prize if you manage to make the best ending in my world."

Faerie narrowed her eyes displeased. "What kind of God is that who lets a helpless weakling live his world, forced into a contract she doesn't want?"

The black ball suddenly butted into Faerie's head.

"Watch your word! You should be grateful that you are in my dimensional world so that 'He' cannot hear your ugly words!"

"Aww," Faerie could only grimace when she felt her head bumped slightly due to being hit by the ugly and dull black ball, "ugly." She sneered softly.

"I can hear it."

"S-Sorry," Faerie said while waving her lips.

"All right. So I'm just changing the plot of a shity novel— ahem, I mean changing your world into a good world for everyone who lives in your world, is that it?"

"Right." The black ball immediately agrees.

Faerie became nervous. "B-But, Lord God...? Isn't the scale too big?"

"What?"

"The world... How can I change the world like I'm turning the pages of a book?"

The black ball that had been silent was now circling Faerie again. "Didn't your comment says that you could easily turn a shity novel plot into 'the best novel ending of all time'?"

"Ugh." Faerie felt that an arrow pierced her heart when she recalled her silly comment.

"That novel you read is a world that I observe and guard. To me, changing the future of a novel is like changing a world."

"Right, isn't it?" asked the black ball in a serious tone.
