In the afternoon, Yang Ping rested for a few hours, snuggled up in the hotel chatting with his family back home.

Yang Ping video chatted with Xiao Su and, borrowing Xiao Su's mobile, he called Xiao Su's grandparents, Professor Su, Mrs. Su, and Su Nanchen to keep them informed about the situation over there.
Xiao Su's family was very understanding, with Professor Su telling Yang Ping not to worry about his family but to "focus entirely on the surgery and to pay particularly attention to postoperative care."
