The activation process actually involves putting at least three map fragments into the nodes, then the stone formation would automatically start the activation.

The Tyrant was well aware of this because it was explicitly stated in the rules on Map One.
The two Werewolf players standing close by immediately produced a map from their inventory and tossed it to the youth. The Tyrant also retrieved a map and threw it over.
The Werewolf youth jumped up, deftly caught the three fragments, and landed back on the stone platform, ready to place the fragments into the slots one by one.
At this moment, only the youth was within the entire stone formation range, with the other Werewolves distributed around the outskirts, ready to meet the enemy.
While the Werewolf youth was making his move, the Tyrant was vigilantly watching those around him, fearing any sudden betrayal.
Luckily, this did not happen.
