The World Walker listened to the footsteps dwindling behind him, and quickly recognized that the other party had not fully mastered the use of the Grim Reaper's legacy. Their pace was slower than he had expected, presenting a chance!
Yet, just as he fantasized about escaping due to their speed difference, a dull tolling of a bell suddenly resounded.
The sound echoed from afar, and yet it also felt as though it had exploded right next to his ear, causing his head to spin and blood to flow from his seven orifices. His steps faltered, as though he was trudging through mud—movement became incredibly difficult.
What was even more terrifying was that arms and shadowy figures began to surge out from the ground all around him. Like demonic spirits crawling out of hell, they rushed at him with malicious intent, biting and grabbing onto his body and limbs.
"Get away from me!"
