Heidy's face is deathly pale as her father leads her into the car. Many times Bayu thanked the embassy officials who helped help his daughter.
"How's my visa?" Heidy asks anxiously. She is afraid that her fainting incident, which caused quite a stir among several employees, could affect the assessment of her visa application.
"Don't think about it, Dy. Your health is important first," Bayu replies softly.
"Anyway, I have to come with you!" Heidy's emphatic sentence is enough to make the middle-aged man worry.
For the next second, only silence envelops the father and daughter. When Bayu smoothly drives the vehicle to the office, Heidy keeps her mouth shut, looking away at the window. "I saw it, Dad," she mumbles later, almost inaudibly.
"Who?" Bayu asks without looking at Heidy. His eyes remain focused on the road.
"The woman in red like in my dream," Heidy answers quietly, but it is quite surprising for Bayu.
At the same time, Bayu stomps on the brakes hard, so the two bodies are pushed forward. Heidy's head almost hit the dashboard. "Dad!" the girl shrieks.
"Sorry, Honey. Are you all right?" Bayu immediately grabs her daughter's head and kisses her many times. "Are you hurt?" he asked again.
"No, I'm fine. What was that?" Heidy asks as she takes a deep breath to calm her beating heart.
"No, it's just…. It's just that I saw something up ahead," Bayu answers hesitantly.
"What did you see?" Heidy leans against the windshield in front of her.
"It looked like a cat. I think I hit a cat," Bayu says nervously, as he steps out of the car. There are several times the horn of a vehicle behind them sounded.
From her seat, Heidy watches her father looking confused in front of the hood of his car. "Never mind, Dad. Just come in. We've already caused a long line," Heidy calls out. Inevitably Bayu obeys and goes back into the car.
"I'm pretty sure I had hit something, like a cat," Bayu mutters as he started his vehicle again.
"What a strange day. I also saw the appearance of something that is not clear," Heidy replies.
"Could this be a sign that you are not allowed to come to Indonesia?" Bayu's guesses made Heidy turn to him and glare.
"You just making this up!" she murmurs.
Bayu chuckles softly, "It's so hard to refuse your wish, Dy!"
A second later, silence returns between them. Bayu and Heidy are lost in their thoughts. Four more days of the long journey will be passed. Heidy feels that something pleasant would welcome her there. She has already imagined that she would upload a recording of her activities in Indonesia to her social media.
It isn't until a few days later, a few hours before departure, that Heidy's visa is issued. She goes through a lot of struggles to get to the airport on time, not to mention the scolding from her father that Heidy has to accept, making her look forward to more of the adventures that would await her in Indonesia.
In the first class seat that Bayu chose for her, Heidy whispers to her father, "I also want to visit my mother's grave."
Bayu could only take a deep breath without answering a single word. "We'll see," he replies a few seconds later.
After traveling for almost seventeen hours, Bayu and Heidy finally arrive in Indonesia. This is the first time Heidy, set foot in her homeland.
Heidy looked around as she and Bayu are standing outside the airport waiting for their pick-up car. The atmosphere is certainly very different from in Oslo.
Indonesia feels so warm. The sun shines brightly. Friendly faces walked by with a smile typical of the natives who feel familiar with Heidy. A wide smile continues to grow on her beautiful face.
"Dad, is this Indonesia?" Heidy whispers in disbelief.
"Does Mars look like this?" Bayu jokes while getting ready because their pick-up car has arrived.
A man slightly younger than Bayu gets out of the black SUV. The car looks very dashing and shiny.
"Mr. Bayu, how are you?" the man says. He nods respectfully to Bayu and Heidy.
Bayu smiles calmly. He also replies to the nod of the man who is the driver of the company sent by his younger brother, who is now in charge of Bayu's printing company.
"Mr. Wahyu?" Bayu greets the man, even though he doesn't know the man. However, his sister had told him the name of the driver who would pick him up and Heidy.
"That's right, Sir. How was the trip? Come on, I'll bring your things," the man swiftly lifts Bayu and Heidy's suitcase, then put it in the trunk.
"Depart now, Sir?" Wahyu asks while opening the door for Heidy. The girl smiles sweetly and warmly. Yes, Heidy is a friendly girl. Bayu's upbringing has built a strong and humble character in her.
"Let's just go home. Alright, Dy? I'm very tired, tomorrow, I have to go straight to Kalimantan," Bayu says while glancing at Heidy who is sitting beside him. The girl just smiles and nods in agreement.
Not long after, the black SUV car drives gallantly and out of the airport area.
The atmosphere of the streets of Jakarta is very different from Oslo. It is so crowded there as if there isn't the slightest bit of road left. The hustle and bustle of the residents, with all their respective activities. Meanwhile, Heidy is busy with a strange feeling that enveloped her heart.
For some reason, she suddenly became restless. It feels as if it was a sign that something was about to happen to her. Heidy is silent with a straight look ahead. She seems not to be bothered by the traffic jams at that time because she is busy with a strange feeling that keeps bothering her. She feels her body tremble, with a few drops of sweat starting to trickle down her forehead.
"Is the weather in Indonesia always this hot, Dad?" Heidi asks. She glances at her father who is busy with his cellphone. The girl wipes her forehead with a tissue.
"Is the AC not cold enough?" Bayu closes his cellphone screen. He then turns to Heidy. The girl's face starts to turn red. Bayu frowns. He looks worried to see Heidy's condition. "Are you okay?" he asks and then strokes Heidy's hair.
Heidy isn't a kid anymore. However, Bayu is still often very pampering and thinks of her as little Heidy.
"Are you hungry?" Bayu asks again. His attention still hasn't taken his eyes off his youngest daughter's face, even though his cell phone has been ringing ever since.
"No, Dad. I'm still full," Heidy answers quietly. "Dad, just answer the call! Maybe it's an important call," Heidy forces herself to look okay. Then she smiles sweetly at her father. While Bayu still looks worried, especially after what happened yesterday at the Indonesian Embassy.
Things like that often happen to Heidy. Bayu doesn't know what caused it, because the doctor didn't say anything that worried him. However, it felt very strange to Bayu. Her daughter seems to have a phobia of red.
Bayu tried to stay calm. He continues to hide his worry. "Get some rest when we get home!" the man who is hiding his worried hue says, behind the dark glasses he is wearing.
Heidy glances at her father and smiles. She feels lucky to have a father who cares for her.
After a while on the road, the black SUV finally arrives in front of a magnificent house, with a high and sturdy gate. The car then enters the yard after the gate opens automatically. Bayu immediately asks Heidy to come down.
Heidy turned her gaze back around the large yard of the magnificent house. The strange feeling is getting stronger and stronger. Heidy seems to hear a call from an unfamiliar voice.
