Only towel...
Vyrion seemed about to, or just finished swimming as well.
Corale looked away shyly, not wanting to look at Vyrion's body any longer. She didn't say anything either because she didn't want to argue or add another pain to her heart.
Vyrion put his hands on his hips, "You're not awfully this quiet."
Corale clicked her tongue, her brows furrowed in annoyance. It is rare for Vyrion to try to talk to her, let alone joke to lighten the mood between them. Normally she would cry with joy, but with what happened between them, her heart was already hurt too deeply. She is not enthusiastic at all about his efforts.
"I understand you're mad at me," Vyrion's voice returned to its usual coldness.
The more Corale heard Vyrion's voice, the more annoyed she became. She didn't want to be near him right now, she swam to shore, then climbed the pool steps, "I don't want to talk about it."
"..."
Corale took her clothes, then walked away without saying anything or turning to look at Vyrion.
They have nothing to talk about.
She understood.
"Kyaa ...!" Corale screamed in horror, her wet feet made her sandals slippery, she lost her balance the moment she stepped on the stairs.
She will fall.
Why is there also no wall or safety glass on the third floor!?
She will fall...
But...
Nothing happened.
Instead, Corale felt something warm around her body...
What's this?
Corale slowly opened her tightly closed eyes—the cold ruby irises immediately greeted her.
Vyrion...
"You really are reckless," Vyrion commented, although his words were harsh, his expression didn't show any irritation. Calm like his beautiful ruby irises.
He still saved her even though she gave him a cold shoulder?
Vyrion put Corale down, and in the next second she heard him groan in pain, "Vyrion!?" She just remembered there will be an electric effect every time they touch.
Vyrion raised his hand, requesting no exaggeration situation. He tired of hearing Corale keep insisting to go see Doctor.
Corale just looked worried. It's her fault that she was carried away emotionally until couldn't concentrate on walking.
"Ugh..." Vyrion still felt a bit of that painful effect, he had only been able to straighten himself for a few minutes after calming himself down. This made him realize something important he had forgotten while thinking about their problem. "There's no point in you being in my castle..."
Corale looked down gloomily. Why suddenly say that? She already knew he didn't want her here. Was he not satisfied with hurting her?
"I wish you success in continuing your father's business."
Eh?
"I don't know much about business stuff, but if you're having trouble, you don't know where to go. You can come back here," Vyrion says, "Vega is lonely, so she'll be happy for you to visit." He paused for a moment. "Hm... you guys can support each other." He nodded in agreement with his own words.
Corale giggled, noticing that Vyrion was having a hard time finding the right words to express how he felt is really amusing, "You're so cute~"
"Huh...?" It was Vyrion's turn to be very confused. Of the many people he met, only Corale praised him cute. He face hadn't changed much, still as calm as his voice. So... why? He didn't understand her way of thinking.
"See~?" Corale enjoyed teasing Vyrion who was deep in thought at her words. "you didn't notice, but I did."
Vyrion thought it makes sense, "Whatever you say. I'm leaving."
Corale nodded, then Vyrion stepped away without seeing the measured sad smile on her lips.
*****
"AAAAHHHHH!!!"
The next day, Corale was surprised her dirty clothes weren't in the basket. She immediately rushed outside intending to find Vega to ask if she took her clothes.
'My room is locked, does Vega have a spare key so she can be free to do her job?'
Corale understood Vega's duty as a maid, but at least telling her beforehand would make her heart feel better.
'W-what if it was Vyrion who took my clothes!?'
Corale couldn't hide her embarrassment at the thought of Vyrion doing the job instead.
'St-stop thinking. Just search Vega, Corale.'
The faster she walked, the faster she found Vega. The sooner this morning's mystery is solved.
"Vega...!" Corale shouted loudly as well to get Vega's attention. Unfortunately, there was no answer, only her voice bouncing off the castle walls, "Where is she?"
How come when Corale needed Vega, she was never there!?
"Oh..." Arriving in the living room, Corale's eyes caught Vyrion lying on the chair seemingly asleep. At first, there was nothing strange, until she got in front of Vyrion, she noticed a wound on his temple, bleeding as well.
Blood!
"Vyrion!?" Corale's instincts kicked in, she wanted to check the wound on his temple, however stopped just inches from his skin remembering what would happen if they touched.
Intending to help Vyrion who was injured also made her trouble.
Corale couldn't possibly touch Vyrion without permission, she knew the effect was much worse on his body than she was. She had to act without touching him, "Vyrion? Vyrion? Wake up!" she tried to call him.
Surprisingly no response.
"Vyrion!" Corale called out louder than before. Starting to feel something strange why at this close distance he didn't wake up, not even little noises come out. "Vyrion!?"
Still no response.
Corale lowered her eyes to Vyrion's chest, watching his chest move steadily rise and fall. She rested on her knees, taking the distance right on his sleeping face.
Vyrion would hate her for this, but...
"VYRION...!" Corale shouted his name with all her might right in his face. Surprisingly there was no response, he still slept peacefully.
She starts getting frustrated.
"Vega!?" Corale called out. "Vega!"
No answer either.
Corale clenched her fists against her chest in frustration.
Why is no one responding!?
Corale's eyes fell on Vyrion's face again.
There's only one way left.
Corale slowly raised her hand towards Vyrion's shoulder.
'It's going to hurt a bit, but hang in there.'
Corale hesitated to do so, her hands trembling slightly to touch Vyrion. It was the wound on his temple that convinced her what she doing for his own good. In the end, she managed to land her hand on his rosy cheek.
'I'm sorry!'
"Wake up!"
"..."
"..."
Nothing.
"Um?"
The electrical effect that normally occurred to them no longer appeared.
Confidence mixed with relief, Corale caressed Vyrion's cheek gently… she herself didn't understand why she did it, even her screams didn't work… however her face lit up as his long eyelashes slowly opened, revealing his sleepy ruby irises.
"Hm...?" Vyrion murmured, confused as to why everything he saw spinning.
"Vyrion?" Corale called out with a gentle smile. "Good morning." Happiness no longer hurts him every time their touched, she holds his hand tightly without realizing.
Vyrion turned his head in the direction Corale is, "You..."
Corale's smile grew wider, but the next second it disappeared after hearing what came out of his lips next.
"An angel ...?"
