Chapter 1 - The Hearing

Chad scratched the nape of his neck. He turned as he spoke, unknowing of what to say "I'm not sure I understand. Was it you who called me about this incident?"

"Indeed, I did" The voice said. As he spoke Chad scrutinized him, trying to find a source of deception.

"No time for questions now. There is a piece of paper laying on the floor behind you." The voice said. "You'll find answers there. Farewell!". Walking away, the voice faded away inside of Chad's ears until he could not see him anymore.

Chad takes a box of cigarettes out of his breast pocket. He turns around as he speaks "Sigh, this is brutally new". Puffing out smoke he looks forward towards the many mangled bodies littered across the ground and buildings.

Sean pursed his lips and cleared his throat. "So," he said to the boy. "Your name is Christopher?"

"Um-...I-.. Yes!". looking down, the boy shifted nervously from foot to foot.

Lisbeth Snorts. "You call that an answer? I told you the boy was weak."

"Lisbeth!" snapped Sean. Clenching his jaw while pointing his fingers towards the door. "Charlie, take her and step out, I'd like to talk to Christopher alone before she makes him anymore uncomfortable than he is."

"let's go Lisbeth". Charlie said, tugging her wrist. When They turned, Christopher saw the weapons they carried. Lisbeth had a Golden spear with engravings that pulsed a blood red. Charlie carried a pitch-black katana strapped to his waist that seemed to suck in the light around it. They left the room in silence.

"Don't Mind them, Christopher," said Sean. He had A Claymore Strapped to his back and it's haggard appearance shone as the sunlight lit the room.

"It's alright, I'm not afraid anymore," said Christopher. He wandered why the 3 had weapons.

It seemed as if Everything was so new to him.

Sean froze in place, grabbing his Sword. " You sure? Even with this claymore here?"

Christopher nodded, and then realized that Sean misunderstood his statement. "My dad carries a weapon too!"

"Oh? What type of weapon?" Said Sean.

"2 pistols, with blades on the front of the barrels" said Christopher joyously

An expression came to Sean's face, one that Christopher would see many times in the days to come. Sean's eyes grew wide and round, as his face grew with increasing shock and horror. "The Hunter!" Sean yelped. "What a world! We've called the strongest hunter's child weak!" He fell on his butt, the sword strapped to his back scrapping the ground upon collision. Alerting Lisbeth and Charlie outside of the room.

"Sean!" they both yelled out as they barged into the room, weapons drawn. Seeing sean on the floor, they rush towards the boy with blinding speed. Yet before they could reach him, an inivisible pressure bore down on them as they fell to their knee's. Cracking sounds could be heard as craters were created underneath them.

"Daddy!" before anyone could react the boy named Christopher Ran behind Sean, leaving his face in a cold sweat as his body shivered uncontrollably.

"It seems You've made some new friends".

Hearing the smooth and familiar voice, sean turned his head slowly, Still shivering uncontrollably. 'That's him! No doubt, We're screwed!"

"Sean, is it? You should check up on your friends".

Without saying another word, Christopher and his father disappeared, leaving only Sean, Lisbeth and Charlie.

"IDIOTS!" Yelled Sean. Grabbing onto his Claymore, he swings his sword at his kneeling companions. Severing their heads.

As their heads fall to the ground Sean huffs out visible smoke as his eyes beam red. Staring at the bodies as their knees are rooted to the ground.

Sheathing his sword back onto his back, Sean walks out of the room, dialing on his phone. "I've met the King, he has a child ".

"Would You tell me something please? What's the matter with my eyes?"

Jax smiled "Nothing's wrong with your eyes, Julia. But I've never seen a pair quite like them, and I've seen many in my days. They're a unique shade of purple, pretty catchy to anyone." said Jax.

Julia smiled at the comment as she rested her head on his shoulder. "How long till we reach the Capital?" asked julia.

"Two to Three Weeks at most. Using our skills would shorten that time to 1 week but the dangers that lurk within these grounds are something I am not confident in battling against". Jax responded.

"Do you know where we are, Mike?" Philip said

Mike shook his head "You called it The Kingdom of the King".

"Yes, but it has another name, Acacia. Michelle, why don't you tell Mike about it?"

Michelle saw Mike looking at her and turned her head shyly. "That's alright" she said, so softly it was hard to hear. "You do it please".

Philip smiled at her and nodded. "OfCourse, ma'am. Mike, Acacia Kingdom is the wonder of this age: Centuries ago, a thriving city of mighty power, populated by warriors of all kinds gathered from all corners of the world as they were brought in by one man, we call him the king. No one has seen him or spoken with him but it is rumored that his power surpasses all man and beast alike. Now, He run's the biggest Hunter organization where those who wish to become strong can become strong.

"So, Mike" Philip said. Leaning in closer to his face "Would you like to become strong?"
