Chapter 279 - 964-975

Chapter 964: The Train to Bahamut

The aptitude users looked at the corpse that had been strung up, feeling terrified.

"Faceless Lord. They're the top assassin on the assassin.net! I heard that they achieved S-tier 10 years ago and then disappeared without a trace!"

"Yeah! That's gotta be them!"

"And just like that, they were killed! Then, just how strong is this new Black Alps Overlord?!"

For a moment, these people thought of an SS-tier aptitude user and only felt more terrified!

"If the Black Alps Overlord has taken over the city, what about He Tianxing? Him too?"

News blew up one after another, making these aptitude users extremely surprised.

Especially the members of the Human Alliance. They came with masks on their faces and worry in their hearts, only to find that the Dark Citadel had changed ownership. Not only that, the new aptitude user that took over might be of SS-tier, how could they be at ease?

Would this person start setting their sights in-land?

Would this set off another war between the Dark Coalition and the Human Alliance?

This kind of thing was only going to give them groundless fears, as such they transferred the news to the Human Alliance to let the people in Dragon Capital analyze this.

In the Dark Citadel, Qin Feng invited Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai to stroll around, but the remaining two people did not really seem into it.

They had been thinking about the future before, but now they felt as if that was just some lofty daydream. With the Black Alps Overlord in the Dark Citadel, it was impossible to profit from here in the future!

Qin Feng noticed the expressions of the two and mentally smirked before saying, "It seems that the two of you have no interest in the Dark Citadel, so let's talk about something interesting then! I just recently came, to be honest, I'm a rogue agent and not considered a member of the Dark Coalition. Of course, I haven't joined the Human Alliance for the time being and since you Dark Coalition people invited me over first, I decided that I might as well have a look around!"

Rogue agents, or neutrals, did not belong to the Human Alliance and did not have any thoughts of officially joining the Human Alliance. They wandered all over the world, maybe doing tasks in the Human Alliance territory one day; dodging paperwork; and then on the next day run along with the Dark Coalition, buddying up with the criminals.

It made sense for Qin Feng to use this identity as a cover.

At this time, Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai felt that Qin Feng gave off the impression of someone enigmatic and impossible to predict. They had no doubts about what he said and took it at face value.

If such a powerful being was within the Human Alliance, they would have known about it!

"Haha, this is a great honor. The Dark Coalition doesn't have many constraints and there are many other races. You can join whenever you wish. If the Overlord has nothing to do, then perhaps you can come with us!"

Qin Feng did not plan to leave immediately. "What do you mean I have nothing to do? Doesn't the Dusk Dragon Auction need me to be the host? Or else any Tom, Dick or Harry or whatever random nuisance would show up to cause trouble. I'm not a city duke who just lets people walk all over me!"

Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai who had originally come to cause trouble had cold sweat trickle down their backs. They were mildly angered about being regarded as a 'random nuisance', but they knew that this was also his method of knocking a warning into them.

Qin Feng smirked to himself when he saw the two's expressions, but on the surface he remained as calm as could be.

"We can make an appointment again after a week. It's better if you two stick around to enjoy the scenery, I'd recommend the beach. The scenery there is great. There's also the Dusk Dragon Auction where there are plenty of great items you can purchase!"

Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai really wanted to leave, but also thought that maybe the reason Qin Feng invited them to stay was to deliberately keep tabs on them.

At that moment, they did not dare refute Qin Feng's words and agreed to remain.

Qin Feng was not bothered about them after that. He was going to take this week to rest. Meanwhile during the auction, plenty of resources were sold. From the ones taken from the hunts on Dragon Island and the ultra beast materials obtained during the Amazon Alliance incident. They were auctioned off and exchanged for new resources to supply Qin Feng and Bai Li's cultivation.

Especially Bai Li, who had become an S-tier beast deity. If she wanted to develop further, it would be a huge investment!

The Dusk Dragon Auction went off without a hitch, and during this time, Qin Feng noticed that about ten S-tiers had come over. This was due to the identity of the 'Black Alps Overlord'. After the rumors spread out, many people thought that he was an SS-tier aptitude user.

Such a strong person must have valuable things. As such, the S-tiers came one after another and they did not come in vain. They all left with something they wanted.

After that, many aptitude users went to the Ancient Tree Island. After these people left, they would not return for another month and he did not need to worry.

A week later, Qin Feng picked up the beast-shaped Bai Li and hid her under his cloak before meeting with Voodoo Lord.

It was necessary to bring Bai Li over. She could travel through any realm and if there was something wrong, they would also have a way out.

"This time we must first go to a realm connected to the Bahamut continent via a spatial rift. That is the Dark Coalition's temporary stronghold!"

As Shao Tai explained the situation, Qin Feng listened, and also discovered the difference between the Human Alliance and the Dark Coalition.

In the Human Alliance, blood was needed to make the badges and they were very strict about identity verification. Meanwhile the Dark Coalition was different, having very little emphasis on that.

It was far more chaotic, and contained many different species. Among them were the Wraith Devil species, the Dragon-borne species and others that treated humanity like food.

Fortunately, Earth's Alliances, whether it be the Human Alliance or Dark Coalition, have both agreed to not disclose information about their realm in order to protect it from harm. At the same time, they were not worried about these beings coming over and invading.

"Let's go then!"

Shao Tai and Voodoo Lord smiled and nodded, but they were still extremely wary. The three stepped through a spatial passage and in the next moment, they were in another realm.

The surrounding scenery came into view. In an instant Qin Feng felt as if he had stepped foot on the Floating City. He was surrounded by extremely advanced machinery, high rise buildings with flashing advertisements and all. When he spread out his consciousness to check, he realized that this indeed was a Floating City.

He did not expect this realm to have such advanced technology as well.

Qin Feng took out the communicator provided by Voodoo Lord, and the moment he put it on, it was already connected to the regional channel which was broadcasting a message.

Beep beep. Announcement. Ship D214 will be jumping in half an hour to a high danger zone, the Bahamut realm, please board as soon as possible!

This news did not sound anything like exploring a new and dangerous realm. It sounded more like your standard announcement for boarding a train.

Who would have thought that there would be such convenient transportation to a realm originally described to be dangerous by the Skeletal Fiend.

"Hah, we're right on time. There just so happens to be a ship. Come on, let's go!" Voodoo Lord said quickly with a hint of excitement in his eyes.

Qin Feng narrowed his eyes, there was something slightly fishy about it but he did not look too much into it. Different situations called for different actions!

Chapter 965: Spatial Station

The three people rushed to the port, and Qin Feng saw the flying ship.

Based on the technology that he had grown familiar with, the technology of that ship was comparable to the top technology of the Perished Lands and had even surpassed the technology of the Floating City.

Qin Feng got on the ship and found that although they were headed to an extremely dangerous area, there were still a lot of people.

Perhaps, there was something in the Bahamut realm that had these people's interests.

The cost to board the ship was not expensive either, only a cubic meter of power credits was enough. Qin Feng paid the amount and boarded the ship with the rest.

Half an hour later, the ship took off and soared into the air before initiating a spatial jump. As it shuttled through space, the scenery behind the windows immediately changed.

It was a sky full of stars, just like the dark sky of the Perished Lands, filled with violent, unbridled energy.

The ship blocked off this energy as it flew through the void. No matter how far someone looked, there would be nothing but the starry sky that dragged on forever. Eventually, a landmass floating in this starry sky appeared within their line of sight.

"Look, it's Bahamut!" Shao Tai said.

Qin Feng was naturally compelled to look.

Due to how the ship isolated energy, he could not feel what was going on over at the continent. All he saw was a pitch black aura of death.

"It seems to have swelled a bit since the last time!" Voodoo Lord said before chuckling, "That should be fine, that just means it's not that dangerous!"

Qin Feng gave the continent a closer look. When they were further away, the outline of the continent looked like a giant lizard that existed on the Earth realm. It reminded him of a giant Western dragon.

It far surpassed the size of any dragon he had seen. This was the corpse of a powerful creature, even in death it exuded a massive amount of runes and energy. It continued to attract matter, adding onto its size and getting bigger and bigger.

Since he could not perceive it, he could only look at things from how it seemed and was not able to identify this specific energy.

The ship did not land directly on Bahamut, instead it landed on a Floating City. This spatial station was almost the same as his Floating City, it had an energy shield over it that allowed people to survive here.

However, due to how cosmic energy was, the people who came here must have had the strength to reach S-tier. As for the service staff, they were naturally all machines.

Qin Feng stepped off the ship and got onto the space station.

"I'll call my friends in a bit, they'll take us to the continent and there's a possibility that you'd have to pay some resources for it!" Shao Hai said with a smile.

Qin Feng did not understand this place, but he knew enough that the kind of people Shao Tai's inviting probably would not mean well.

But with Bai Li here, there would not be a problem.

"I'll be looking around on my own, call me when you need me!" Qin Feng said before turning to walk away.

Voodoo Lord wanted to stop him but could not find an excuse, besides, if Qin Feng were to get more guarded against them then things might be impossible to pull off.

Once Qin Feng had left, Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai could not stop the wide smiles on their faces.

"Is this going to work? Wouldn't this be too dangerous?" Voodoo Lord asked.

Shao Tai's face shifted to a darker expression, but he gritted his teeth and said, "Even if it's dangerous, it has to be done. The Black Alps Overlord must be eliminated, he's not an idiot. He knows that we went to the Dark Citadel to scout out the city's location. Even if he doesn't show his true colors around us, if we let him grow, he'll threaten us in the future! It's better to get it right once and for all!"

Voodoo Lord also thought the same. Most importantly, he had seen Qin Feng kill He Tianxing before, and after a few months since that encounter it was revealed that his strength was growing too quickly. An S-tier assassin died after just one clash and that sent chills down Voodoo Lord's spine.

This also led to Voodoo Lord wanting to kill Qin Feng even more.

"Let's go then!"

The two went off to find the person that Shao Tai was looking for while Qin Feng strolled around the spatial station.

In fact, there were not many humans, but there were a lot of other species. Even with the number of humans around, they had all kinds of languages, so the only way to communicate would be through consciousness.

Qin Feng naturally could not collect information by eavesdropping, but this was obviously not a problem.

He found a resting area, similar to a bar, and sat down.

Soon he found a target.

It was a pale-faced human, it seemed like he had his vitality sapped from him. He must have gotten injured.

Qin Feng ordered two glasses of wine and brought it in front of the man.

"Please, have a drink!" He said via his consciousness.

The man had a sullen expression and upon seeing the black-masked, dark-armored Qin Feng, his face got even fouler, filled with vigilance.

"No need, go away!" The man's consciousness blasted out with a warning that was filled with rage.

"Perhaps you need some of these!" Qin Feng took out a C-tier crystal core of a Gorefiend and dropped it into the wine. Gorefiends were full of vitality, perfect for treating injuries like what the man had.

The man saw the Gorefiend's crystal core and felt the energy wafting from it. A sudden burst of light seemed to shine from his eyes, this was exactly what he needed right now.

He raised a hand and reached for the glass. "Then, what do you want?"

"Some news should be enough, of course, the more you say, the more I will provide!"

Qin Feng lifted up a hand, revealing more of the Gorefiend crystal cores he had on him.

"Fine by me!"

Since it was just some news, there was nothing to hide. It would only cost a moment of consciousness transmission and the man quickly chatted up Qin Feng.

The spatial station was built in space because the people of the Dark Coalition could not live on Bahamut for a very long time.

The Immortal Bahamut was a member of the Abyssal Dragon race, its death energy enveloped the entire land and people who went there would have their vitality sapped away at every moment.

However, this energy had other uses.

When Bahamut just died, the matter attracted by the energy and runes formed into the continent and continued to gain mass.

At the same time, new mineral veins were also formed. The head of the giant dragon was considered to be the North part of the land, and nobody could set foot there. They could only crawl to the South part, the dragon's tail, to excavate the mineral deposits there.

Among these minerals, the Annihilatilite was an S-tier material that when integrated into weapons could give it properties of death that caused anyone hit by the weapon to start rotting away and its effectiveness was terrifying.

Dark Sacred Stones would also sporadically appear on the surface but it was not as fast as just directly trying to obtain the Immortal's crystal core.

This man had tried to set foot on the Northern part of Bahamut and ended up failing, receiving his injury.

Moreover, traveling from the spatial station to the continent required the person to pass through the starry void. Extremely powerful S-tiers could withstand it, but it was far more efficient to conserve energy and go as a group, setting up a shield as they went.

Or, if one had special items, they could step onto the land.

This news was very important to Qin Feng, but after hearing all of it he did not completely believe it. So after he gave the man a B-tier Gorefiend crystal core, he went on to question two more people for confirmation.

Chapter 966: Arriving at the Bahamut Continent

The findings corresponded with each other, and Qin Feng had even obtained additional intelligence.

Not many were able to enter into the Bahamut continent, there were only eight to nine of them. Without exception, all of them were SS-tier powerful figures.

With such capabilities, none of them were easy targets to be trifled with.

Beep beep beep!

Qin Feng was alerted by his new communicator, only Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai knew about it.

Qin Feng took a glance and confirmed it was exactly them.

"Black Alp Overlord, we have gathered the right person. You have to be here; we will be departing in half an hour!"

"Hmm, I'll be there right away!" Qin Feng identified the location that was transmitted to him and left the bar.

Although there was energy isolation within the spatial station, the internals were not too sturdy and battles were prohibited. If such rules were set by ordinary people, it would definitely not restrict any of the Dark Coalition members. However, it was an SS-tier aptitude user who had laid out the rule. The others were also reluctant to behave like a wanton there.

Qin Feng arrived at the designated spot, and there were already nine people there.

Without using his senses, Qin Feng already felt the powerful aura from one of them. It had definitely surpassed the level of an SS-tier aptitude user.

Similar to Voodoo Lord, everyone else were also S-tiers. They varied in capabilities and tribe origins.

"Do you know the rules?" The SS-tier powerful figure asked.

Qin Feng obviously did not know about the rules, and he looked at Voodoo Lord.

Voodoo Lord immediately explained, "This is Lord Zolls, he will be bringing us to the continent with a powerful ultra beast, but at a cost!"

Qin Feng was surprised and secretly sneered.

Zolls was absolutely capable of bringing people to the continent. However, it was obviously an impossible and risky favor to ask for.

Zolls was not a human, and he originated from a tribe that was irreconcilably conflicting with the humans.

He was a Wraith Devil.

Because of that, Zolls had extremely powerful consciousness and he was capable of controlling dark runes. With the contract he had with an S-tier spatial beast, he was able to bring people to the continent.

However, Zolls was a vampire that demanded daily fees from his passengers that he brought along. They were allowed to pay by exchanging their mining produce from excavations. If his passengers were to earn more, he would purposely stay there longer to drain out their wealth. It was even possible for him to take advantage of the others in a dog-eat-dog manner.

Obviously, he was a person with a bad reputation!

Qin Feng finally knew what Voodoo Lord had in mind to set him up for trouble!

"How much?" Qin Feng asked.

"An A-tier beast deity core!" Voodoo Lord answered.

Although it would not be too much hassle for an S-tier aptitude user to take care of an A-tier beast deity, it was very hard to get one. Any S-tier would not casually give out such a rare item.

However, among those who dared to be in the Bahamut realm, did any of them seem to be ordinary aptitude users? They were undoubtedly all highly skilled elites that lacked no courage in them, not to mention their ultimate secret skills that they had up their sleeves.

"Not much!" Qin Feng took out an A-tier beast deity core from his spatial rune equipment and passed it to Zolls.

"Not bad, everyone is already here, come in!" Zolls transmitted with his consciousness while raising his hand. The space around them twisted while a whale-like creature jumped out from the space.

It was a spatial beast, a Shuttle Whale.

Such creatures would only appear in groups, but they were rare and it was difficult to get them under control.

The Shuttle Whale opened its mouth to allow everyone in. It was like entering into a house.

Pop!

The Shuttle Whale closed its mouth, but the view on the outside was still visible through gaps between its teeth. Soon, they had entered dimensional space.

It took a leap and instantly flew out from the perimeters of the spatial station.

Within the dimensional space, none of them could feel the horrifying energy from the universe. But they could see that they were closing in on the Bahamut continent. The wild energy became even more violent, and horrifying meteorites were falling.

All of those were space objects and matter that were attracted by the Immortal.

Without the Shuttle Whale, they would have to pay for a much bigger price to set foot on the Bahamut continent.

Also, consciousness from the death of the Immortal still remained. The dead Bahamut did not want any desecration toward its dead body. Hence, spatial runes were very stable and disallowed any ordinary spatial waymark to activate spatial rifts. Therefore, waymarks recorded on spatial stones were totally useless there.

Of course, it was a different scenario for spatial beasts. Regardless of whether it was the Shuttle Whale or a nine-tailed fox like Bai Li, they were able to open up the spatial passage.

Travelling under extreme speed, the Shuttle Whale manoeuvred across the dimensional realm and got closer to the Bahamut continent. The vision of the passengers was blocked by the continent. They could no longer see the space sky, only the widespread land was visible.

Upon landing, they became members of the land and were no longer outsiders.

The Shuttle Whale landed on the ground. Upon exiting from the dimensional realm, everyone immediately regained their senses.

They were immediately surrounded by the vast energy between heaven and earth. Every breath that they took in was filled with intense energy.

The land surface was more powerful than the Aether Realm.

However, the energy sources were causing discomfort. It was like submerging in water that had an overwhelming stench. An unknown number of dark energies with decaying effects was merging into their body.

It was dark rune energy.

Even dark ability users would not be able to cope with such decay, unless they were to absorb dark runes into their bodies.

But the absorption speed might not be as fast as the speed of decay.

Zolls did not care as his physical body did not belong to him. When it had decayed, he could just look for the next dead body to protect his soul.

"Here it is. Same rules, I will be right here every night to collect the fees. Those who can't pay, you will be on your own!"

Zolls laughed grimly and seemed to be hoping for them to fail in paying the fees.

Of course, Zolls would most probably not give up easily to sustain the business. To him, those S-tier aptitude users were just lambs and their wools were as useful as ship tickets. It was definitely more profitable to recycle their usage, instead of killing them for a small amount of meat.

However, he would also have some side hustle.

Zolls gave Qin Feng a vengeful look without any disguise. To him, Qin Feng was already a scapegoat that was ready to be slaughtered!

The nine others had gone through the giant mouth of the Shuttle Whale. They were secretly observing the others before selecting their own direction and headed in different ways.

"Black Alp Overlord, let's work together?" Shao Tai offered.

Qin Feng sneered and answered, "Boat King Shao, thank you for your courtesy in bringing me here. I'll take it as a favor that I owe you. But I am also sparing your life for your unwelcome presence. It is also a way for me to return the favor of yours and we don't owe each other anymore!"

Shao Tai was stunned. Qin Feng was speaking the truth as he had indeed used the route to the Bahamut continent as a leverage so that Qin Feng would gracefully spare his life. However, Shao Tai was ashamed to hear it in such a direct way.

Chapter 967: Aerolite

Qin Feng noticed Shao Tai's expression and warned again, "I hope that from now on all of you will not offend me again, this is the last chance!"

Qin Feng felt that Shao Tai and the others might still be useful at some point. After all, he was not an actual member of the Dark Coalition. It was too much of a hassle for him to gather intelligence by himself, it would be a good idea to train some men for himself. But he would have to observe the loyalty of Shao Tai and Voodoo Lord.

It was Qin Feng's last warning. If both of them were still unwilling to submit to him, he would have to kill them both.

Qin Feng turned around and left toward the north direction.

Once he was no longer visible to Shao Tai and the others, Qin Feng took off his cape. Xiao Bai jumped down from Qin Feng's shoulder and transformed into her human form.

She frowned a little, as she obviously did not like the environment there.

"This continent is really powerful, I would get hurt if I were to stay here. I'll enter into the dimensional realm and follow you instead!"

"Alright!"

Bai Li faded into shadows and became semi-translucent, and she was even undetectable by senses. Of course, she was also unable to communicate with Qin Feng. But with the contract between them, it was not a problem at all.

Energy from the surroundings was constantly flowing into Qin Feng's body while bringing dark runes along. It was impossible for Qin Feng to activate his internal force shield to resist it. However, those runes were not harmful to Qin Feng at all.

His dark starglobe within the consciousness realm was slowly spinning. Although it was spinning slightly faster than normal, it would not achieve its maximum speed. Qin Feng's Absorption Ability gradually absorbed the runes that had entered his body and slowly started growing.

Qin Feng expanded his consciousness into the surroundings. Different from the Aether Realm, there were no restrictions in consciousness scouting, but the excessively violent energy would still neutralize consciousness.

However, it cost nothing for Qin Feng as his Absorption Ability compensated for all those losses.

"Seems like my situation is much better than the others!"

Qin Feng began to speed up.

According to the Skeletal Fiend, he did not find his Hell Stone from the northern region of the Bahamut continent. It was at a location from about one quarter of the entire continent, not even close to the central region. But the mining resources were already in abundance.

However, he could no longer move forward with his current capability. Not because of the erosive dark runes, but it was because…

"Hehehehehe…"

A sinister laugh was heard from behind Qin Feng, and Qin Feng reacted instantly at high speed.

"Berserk Air Prance!"

All of a sudden, Qin Feng sprinted across like a shooting star and looked back.

Without noticing when, not even detected by consciousness and senses, a spooky dark shadow had appeared behind Qin Feng.

The capability of the dark shadow was around S-tier.

"Death Shadow!"

It was one of the major threats on the Bahamut Continent.

Death Shadows were a unique energy body that was perhaps related to the remaining consciousness left by Bahamut. It would attack living creatures and remain undetected by any method.

It was a major threat toward the S-tiers.

"Flare of Death!"

Qin Feng's consciousness exploded while flames gathered on his palm. Followed by the most violent terraform explosion that blasted out flames from the centre of the earth while shrouding around the Death Shadow.

A miserable shriek was heard from the Death Shadow as its body was shaved into half. But its attack speed did not change at all, it immediately reacted with another wild attack and pounced toward Qin Feng's neck for a bite.

Qin Feng dodged it with a sly move while drawing out a dagger from his waist.

All of a sudden, glowing internal energy burst into two lines of attacks, combining blizzard and spatial slicing force in it. The Death Shadow was then sliced into three parts.

But in the next moment, the shadows then merged back into one and pounced forward for another kill.

Every Death Shadow was like an assassin that would be reborn limitlessly, and like a sticky entanglement that could never be loosened.

Qin Feng's ability exploded again.

"Cold Whisper of Death!"

All of a sudden, the shadow was frozen into a unique ice sculpture.

Qin Feng had only heard about the Death Shadow and that was his first encounter. Its movements were untraceable and extremely quick, he could barely examine the look of it earlier.

Now that the Death Shadow had been frozen, Qin Feng certainly had his chance to do so.

"Surprisingly, this thing is similar to Phantom Shift!"

Under Qin Feng's control, Phantom Shift could be activated and formed into a countless number of dark shadows, provided it was supported with sufficient internal energy and runes. Therefore, it was how the Death Shadow performed, and it was even more bizarre.

It was not accurate to say that Qin Feng had frozen a creature. Actually, it was energy that he had frozen.

"Since this is just energy, why can't I just absorb it?"

Qin Feng's Absorption Ability exploded and was forced onto the ice sculpture as it began to absorb energy from within.

A flow of energy instantly merged into Qin Feng's body, their energy was tenfold more intense than the energy that lingered in the air. His consciousness was accumulating fast.

Being an A6-tier, a large amount of energy was required to fuel Qin Feng's rapid consciousness accumulation.

The Death Shadow was trapped within the monster-shaped ice sculpture of about two meters tall. Surprisingly, it had become smaller along with Qin Feng's absorption.

Actually, Death Shadows were not really indestructible. With constant killing to scalp off its energy, it would then disintegrate. For other aptitude users, all they needed to do was to just run as the Death Shadows would just disappear after some distance of running.

However, they were like pointy arrows that were hung above their heads. Nobody would know when the Death Shadows would return and appear again.

Surprisingly, Qin Feng became interested in them and he hoped to encounter more Death Shadows.

"The information I got earlier was that there should not be large crowd gatherings, or else it will attract a lot of Death Shadows. I should have agreed with Shao Tai earlier!"

Qin Feng chuckled as he joked to himself. He was not interested to continue with the sham gestures of politeness with Shao Tai and Voodoo Lord.

It was at that moment when Qin Feng felt a sudden sense of threat. He immediately raised his head and saw a sparkling light drawing across the sky.

It was an aerolite!

And it was an extremely huge one.

The Bahamut continent was in the midst of formation and its own energy was conflicting with violent energy sources from outer space. Such aerolites were unstoppable, and they were required exactly for the accumulation and constant formation of the continent.

The aerolite got closer to the surface of the ground, it then arced across the sky while being quickly broken down into pieces by the energy from Bahamut.

Boom!

In mid-air, the aerolite had already shattered into countless pieces and Qin Feng's expression immediately changed.

"Dawnstar!"

The inner part of the aerolite was unexpectedly embedded with a dawnstar that was approximately one meter in diameter. It was absolutely impossible to have such a precious encounter at the Blue Star Realm.

Of course, such an item would be a rare find in any realm.

Boom boom boom!

The aerolite slammed into the ground. The massive quakes had even produced rifts, while massive amounts of energy spread across like ripples that expanded in different intensities.

Qin Feng's movement speed spiked instantly, and he was unbothered by the earth that was still quaking.

He was not too far from the landing spot of the aerolite. Those who had the closest proximity to the target would definitely be the first to benefit, and the dawnstar was a must have for him!

Chapter 968: Square Up

Qin Feng ran wild on the ground in random directions as energy surged within his body. The harsh environment that was unbearable for others was nothing to him.

Soon, Qin Feng saw the aerolite that had dropped down and smashed a giant pit in the ground. Because of the twisted explosion earlier, the aerolite was shattered into more than ten pieces. The ground was filled with pot-holes, just like the surface of the moon.

Due to the heat produced by energy friction, the aerolite was still transmitting high temperature to the surroundings. But the dawnstar embedded within was still clearly visible from the outside.

Qin Feng jumped into the pit and quickly collected it.

At that moment, another intense presence channelled through, and someone else had arrived!

Qin Feng glanced around and noticed that it was not another human but an Orc.

The Orcs also originated from the Wisdom Tribe and their transformation was fully completed. If it was not because of his ears on both sides that looked like a pair of upright wolf's ears and the tail that extended from behind, perhaps many would just think that he was just an ugly looking man with buck teeth.

The Orc instantly hopped over when he noticed that Qin Feng was only slightly below two meters and thought that he was an easy target to bully.

"Get lost!!!"

The Orc growled via his consciousness while striking his sharpened claws toward Qin Feng.

Although he was warning Qin Feng to get away, he was actually trying to kill him.

But Qin Feng's reaction was faster.

Right after the Orc crossed the edge of the pit, Qin Feng had already shifted.

"Phantom Shift!"

Upon activating it, Qin Feng felt that his Phantom Shift had become handier. Indeed, it was the best place to demonstrate dark shadows.

Phantom Shift was released and the Orc could barely detect Qin Feng's movements, he was horrified by it. Knowing that it was on the Bahamut continent, who would not be terrified by the spooky Death Shadows?

The Orc reached out to a necklace on his neck, a giant golden femur bone then appeared on his hand.

Judging by its aura, it was certainly not any ordinary bone. Surprisingly, the bone was from an S-tier beast deity embedded with massive power.

The Orc swayed the golden femur bone in horizontal movements, aimed toward the spirit shadow before him and instantly shattered it into pieces.

It was a great relief for the Orc to know that it was so easily destructible, and knowing that it was just a trick summoned by Qin Feng.

The Orc immediately turned around and collided with two striking daggers.

He had located Qin Feng!

"Die!"

The Orc waved the bone again and pressed downward. From his point of view, his opponent was only using two tiny daggers. It was like striking a stone with an egg.

But he had never expected that both of Qin Feng's daggers were also made from S-tier beast deity materials, and they would not break easily. Also, Qin Feng's energy output was extremely horrifying. Despite being an S-tier and inheriting the bloodline of the Lycanthrope, the Orc might still not win against Qin Feng.

Boom!

Both of them collided with each other. The Orc was then struck by an unexpected energy surge that forced him to take a step back.

"Right now!" Qin Feng struck again with his daggers that were transformed into bizarre shapes. Spatial restriction was disregarded and the strike had immediately arrived before the skull of the Orc Lycan.

The Orc Lycan was shocked with his eyes wide open. Appalled by the strike, he immediately turned his head around.

Swoosh!

Despite dodging the deadly strike, the Orc Lycan had still lost one of his ears to Qin Feng's attack.

Perhaps it was the first injury that the Orc Lycan has had since he had ranked up into an S-tier.

But Qin Feng also noticed that the senses and capabilities of the Orc Lycan were equally threatening. At least, he had the capability of an S-tier beast king and it was much stronger when compared to Faceless Lord whom he had killed.

Therefore, if Bai Li were to stay out of the battle, it would be quite a hassle to take him down.

At the same time, the presence of another five S-tier aptitude users were closing in.

It was not a good idea to continue with the sticky situation and the gains would not make up for the losses.

Qin Feng glared at the Orc Lycan, and the other party gave a vicious warning, "Human, I will crush your body into pieces, just you wait!"

"Anytime!"

Qin Feng reached a mutual agreement with the Orc Lycan before they rushed toward different locations and started locating dawnstars on the ground.

However, Qin Feng immediately realized that the number of dawnstars was fewer than he had imagined. He immediately reminded himself and communicated with Bai Li via their soul contract.

"Did you take up those items earlier?"

"Of course, continue to confront the silly guy, let me grab more of these!"

"We are out of time!"

The remaining five aptitude users had arrived.

Without hesitating, all of them strike toward Qin Feng who was holding onto those dawnstars. Qin Feng immediately released Phantom Shifts at a similar pace.

But at that moment, Phantom Shifts were not used to kill but to grab more of those dawnstars that were on the ground.

In swift movements, Qin Feng had soon gathered a major portion of all of the dawnstars. The remaining pieces were just about the size of a fingernail.

Obviously, the S-tier aptitude users were still not satisfied with the leftovers regardless of how rare the dawnstar was.

"Kill this human, he was the first one here. He must have a lot with him!" The mouth of the Orc Lycan cracked open and revealed his vicious smile, like he was enjoying the moment where Qin Feng had to get himself out of a troubled situation.

"I could never fight against him with my capability, he was the first one here!" Qin Feng rebuked with another false claim.

The members of the Dark Coalition were extremely sceptical by nature and there were three humans among those five that were there. Although they knew nothing about Qin Feng, they believed that human beings were much weaker. When compared against Qin Feng, the Orc Lycan obviously had an upper hand.

Immediately, the three humans rushed toward the Orc Lycan and wanted to kill him.

"Can't all of you see? My ear has been cut off by him!"

The Orc Lycan was angered with his eyes blood-red.

It was at that moment when all the three humans felt that something was not right. However, if they were to switch their aim to Qin Feng, they would risk offending another enemy. The more viable move would be to take down the Lycan first, then kill Qin Feng.

Of course, all three of them did not know each other. If they could not have the same agreement on sharing the loot, they would have to fight each other again.

Qin Feng took the opportunity to turn around and escape.

The remaining two members from the Wisdom Tribe immediately followed him.

Surprisingly, one of them was from the Black Feather Tribe. Different from the other feather tribes, they were born with acquired skills on dark abilities and not light abilities. They were commonly seen on the Bahamut continent.

Another one was from the Cannibal Tribe. Grown up to two meters in height and a skull the size of one meter, it seemed like a magnified version of an infant.

"Humans, seems like a good meal!"

It extended its tongue and licked its face, disgustingly staining its yellowish and fishy smell of saliva everywhere.

A skull of an unidentified ultra beast then appeared on its hand. It was injected with energy while the upper and lower jaw of the skull began to move with crackling noises. Three cherubs then flew out from within with each of them having the capability of an S-tier beast general. Surprisingly, their flying speed was also much faster than the flying Black Feather Tribe.

"Devil Cherubs!"

Qin Feng showcased his aversion and urge to kill.

Chapter 969: Slaughtering Devil Cherubs

Of course, Qin Feng recognized these things. The Cannibal Tribe was a race with rather stunted intelligence. However, they made up for their lack of intelligence with an insane rate of breeding. And from the tremendous amount of reproduction, sometimes a powerful entity could be born. And these people became the Cannibal Shamans—the ones who could convert and control Devil Cherubs.

To create a Devil Cherub, one would need the souls of an intellectual species.

Qin Feng once joined a battle in a dimensional rift to take on the Cannibal Tribe. He had seen how the entire population of five cities got slaughtered and turned into Devil Cherubs.

These three S-tier beast general Devil Cherubs were probably made from over billions of lives of intellectual species.

And from their appearance, these lives were most likely humans'.

Qin Feng slowed down and switched out his Verdant Emperor Saber.

Sweesh!

The blade raged out of the sheath, as though letting a loud, ringing roar.

The Verdant Emperor Saber was the most threatening weapon to any spirit-type creature.

In a swift turn, Qin Feng faced his foes and swung his saber at them.

A Devil Cherub widened its jaw, trying to bite the Verdant Emperor Saber. Of course, it was rather difficult for any creature, let alone a Devil Cherub, to destroy the Verdant Emperor Saber. However, if they could drip some of their essence onto the weapon, the weapon would begin to lose its purity and transfigure into something sinister—a weapon that could turn on its master.

Of course, Qin Feng knew this. However, his saber was not just any weapon. It was the Verdant Emperor Saber. And it was not that easy for one to pollute its essence.

As the weapon and fang met, the spirits that were ensnared by the Verdant Emperor Saber lunged out to crunch their fangs at the Devil Cherub.

The two gigantic beasts then scuffled mid-air, sinking their fangs into each other. This did not last long though…

"Aaaaaah!!"

The Devil Cherubs let out an excruciating cry before being completely crushed by the Verdant Emperor Saber's spirits.

In the eyes of the bystanders, it seemed as though Qin Feng had sliced the Devil Cherub into nothingness in just one slash.

"Argh!"

The Cannibal Shaman threw out a spit of blood from his mouth, seemingly injured from the attack too. This was due to the Cannibal Shamans and their Devil Cherubs being bound by blood and spirit. To them, the Devil Cherubs were like their arms and legs. If a Cherub was killed, it would deal a great deal of damage to their internal organs, as though their appendages had been amputated.

It was then, two other Devil Cherubs too had caught up to Qin Feng. They swiftly zipped to his sides and surrounded him.

Qin Feng swung out his Verdant Emperor Saber again, ignoring the Cherubs' skillful dimensional manipulation.

In an instant, the two Devil Cherubs were slashed through like butter.

Pfft!

Both of the Devil Cherubs were cut in half and perished on the spot!

"Waarghh!!"

The Cannibal Shaman cried out in pain as blood bled out from his eyes, nose, ears and mouth. Losing three Devil Cherubs in such a short time had obviously dealt an impactful blow on him.

Seeing that Qin Feng was able to slay three Devil Cherubs in less than a minute, the Black Feather Tribe man stopped giving chase. If Qin Feng was an easy target, it would be foolish of him to let a prey get away. However, it was quite apparent now that Qin Feng was a force to be reckoned with. And it would be foolish of him to take on this young man recklessly. In fact, it would be foolish to take on this young man at all.

Meanwhile, there were a lot more people beginning to congregate at this spot. The dawnstars were, after all, great treasures. Everyone would want a piece of it.

However, it would be bad news if this many people gathered together here.

"Hehehehehe…"

Then, several specters appeared from the shadows while letting out their signature creepy laughter.

Qin Feng took a look at the specters that had emerged behind the Cannibal Shaman; the Shaman did not seem to take notice of these monstrosities at all.

Well, there was no need to caution him about the specters either.

"This would save me a great deal of trouble, in fact." Qin Feng smirked.

Of course, there were also several specters emerging behind Qin Feng too.

There were too many people gathering in the same place. Thus, there were about a dozen specters appearing there at once.

The more people gathered in the same place, the more life essence that could be detected. The specters instinctively whiffed out these people like how a shark would detect a prey from the taste of blood in the water.

And that was not all. The specters' number kept increasing over time, doubling in under a minute.

Now, they had to deal with over twenty specters. And they needed to deal with them fast.

Qin Feng quickly sheathed his Verdant Emperor Saber and whizzed away, evading a specter's attack.

The Black Feather Tribe man quickly gave chase after seeing Qin Feng evading the specter's attack. When he got near, his body began to radiate a layer of black mist—a layer of dark runes!

The dark runes had unique properties that could allow its user to conceal his whereabouts. If one put in effort to master the runes, they could even hide their life essence too.

After the Black Feather Tribe man concealed his presence, the specters immediately retreated to hunt for the others—allowing him to flee.

"How naïve!"

Qin Feng smirked as he willed in a layer of dark runes onto himself.

Qin Feng had already put on his Phantom Cape. As such, when this layer of dark runes enveloped him, it felt as though the thin, lace layer of dark runes had completely concealed his entire existence. No life essence could be felt at all from where he stood, as though he had turned into air itself!

Thus, in such a short time, the specters not only did not chase after Qin Feng, they actually started to flock toward the Black Feather Tribe man.

"Impossible!" The Black Feather Tribe man was so shocked to see this happening. His dark rune abilities were something he was born with. Their race was known for their innate abilities to command dark runes at will. However, right now, his dark rune abilities were no match against Qin Feng's.

He thought he was able to trick the specters to go after the young man. Yet, he did not expect the opposite.

The Black Feather Tribe man quickly glided away at low altitude, trying to flee away. It was quite impossible to fly higher in the Bahamut continent due to the rampaging energies. It would take too much energy for one to fly at higher altitude. It would be especially true for the Black Feather Tribe man because he did not have enough energy to suppress his dark runes, they would turn on him instantly.

To travel on this wretched land was like dancing on the tip of a dagger.

Although the Black Feather Tribe man had fled, this did not mean that the other S-tiers in the scene could do the same.

The Cannibal Shaman had already been gravely wounded by Qin Feng earlier; so, there was no way he could stand a chance against the specters. Sure enough, the specters were able to phase into his body in a short time. Then, his life essence depleted like water down the drain while his body rotted rapidly.

As the originally plump Shaman turned into a thin, frail man and fell to the ground, the essence of death began to grow stronger in the vicinity.

Crack!

The Shaman's body thudded to the ground and cracked into pieces. It seemed as though his body had completely dried up; there was nothing left of his body other than dust.

An S-tier was felled just like that.

Qin Feng, who was standing nearby, could see that the moment the Cannibal Shaman's body hit the ground, something else burst up into the air—it was not the dust that got kicked up from the impact, but rather the conscious energy that the Shaman had left behind.

"Absorb!"

Qin Feng quickly rushed to the Shaman's remains and began to absorb his energy into his starglobe.

A lot of energy would be released when an S-tier died. As such, this was like a great feast to Qin Feng.

In an instant, Qin Feng could feel that his consciousness had gotten stronger by a lot. He could feel that if he could get just a little more of these, he could already ascend to the next tier.

Qin Feng then scanned his eyes on the S-tiers in the area.

As the S-tiers were fighting vigorously with the specters, they could feel a chill running down their backs. They could feel that a sinister glare had locked onto them.

The Black Feather Tribe man too could feel it even though he had already gotten far away from them.

Chapter 970: The Awakened Claw

Due to being pursued and attacked by several specters, the Black Feather Tribe man's energy had been leaking out rapidly. He took a glance at Qin Feng who was standing right there—he could see the young man with his plain eyes but could not sense his presence at all using his consciousness.

Still, even though he could not use his dark-rune stealth trick to screw over Qin Feng, he could use it on the others.

Hence, the Black Feather Tribe man quickly glided back.

The other S-tiers who were fighting the Orc Lycan earlier were also being attacked by the specters. Things were already getting heated; but when the Black Feather Tribe man joined in with the specters pecking at his tail, things got even grimmer.

The Orc Lycan that was fighting with Qin Feng earlier had already depleted a lot of his energy after taking on so many human S-tiers. He was nearly at his limits.

"Argh!!"

The Orc Lycan let out an excruciating cry before more fur grew out of his humanoid body, morphing himself into a giant wolf. Now, his speed and power had reached a higher level. He intended to use his beast form to flee away.

Unfortunately, there were also plenty of others who wanted to flee. Yet, no one could escape easily.

The specters were not able to detect Qin Feng; but they were able to whiff out these S-tiers anywhere they went. In just a few minutes, these S-tiers were all gravely injured. Many of their faces turned as pale as a sheet, like their blood had been sucked dry. This was the sign of their life essence being drained away as the dark runes invaded their bodies.

One of the human S-tiers could not hold on any longer and fell to the ground while screaming in pain.

Qin Feng quickly zipped to his side.

"You're gonna die anyway. So, I'll make it easier for you and end your suffering." Qin Feng raised his hand and willed in a heave of flame at this ability user.

"Nu…! Noo!!!"

The man was still trying to struggle to live in the end. However, before he was able to unleash his trump card, Qin Feng had already killed him.

The poor man was drying from having his life essence being drained away, and then endured a killing blow by fire. One would wonder which death was worse.

Still, Qin Feng did not have the time to wonder about this. He lifted his hand again and collected all the rune equipment and minerals he had harvested in his pocket dimension.

Unfortunately, this man was an ancient warrior. As such, after Qin Feng had finished absorbing his internal energy, despite having felt his starglobe growing a little, he did not ascend to S1-tier.

Right now, Qin Feng needed conscious energy more.

Thus, he scanned around to look for another dying S-tier. Then, he noticed that the Orc Lycan S-tier was close to dying.

"Hmm, it'd be good if I could kill him and gain some flesh power from him before his life essence completely fades away."

Qin Feng then pulled out his dagger and infused his internal energy into it. After that, he vanished into thin air and zipped straight to the Orc Lycan.

Pfft! Pfft!

The dagger was stabbed into the Orc Lycan's eyes, hastening his death.

"Roaar!"

The Orc Lycan let out an agonizing roar as he completely lost his eyesight. As darkness loomed onto him, the Orc Lycan was going to be turned into a skeleton in minutes.

"I am a Hasth! My people will never let this slide! They will avenge me!!"

The Orc Lycan roared out furiously with his consciousness before throwing up blood. The blood was green in color, splashing in Qin Feng's direction. Qin Feng wanted to evade it; but the blood seemed to have locked onto him, darting toward him even though he had moved away.

Whoosh!!

Qin Feng quickly activated his internal energy shield to block out the blood.

Splash!

As the blood splashed onto the barrier, Qin Feng was surprised to see that it did not penetrate his internal energy shield. Instead, there was a layer of green energy covering his internal energy.

"Ah, the Blood Vendetta Mark? Now this is some interesting stuff."

Qin Feng finally understood what this was.

This was a way some clans used to mark their mortal enemies before death. By doing so, their own people could identify their enemies and seek vengeance on said enemies.

Still, Qin Feng was not worried about it.

This mark would only work when he had stepped into the same realm as the clan members that had marked him. Right now, this thing was not an immediate threat to him.

Qin Feng walked onward and killed the Orc Lycan who was at his last breath.

"Absorb!"

Qin Feng then absorbed the Orc Lycan's flesh energy. Due to the other specters also absorbing the life essence and also the condition of the Bahamut continent, Qin Feng was not able to absorb too much of the energy before the corpse turned into a pile of ash.

Seeing this, Qin Feng shrugged and picked up the rune equipment on the ground and walked away.

The S-tiers had seen what Qin Feng had done. They were astonished to see that Qin Feng was able to kill two people and collect their equipment, all without the specters noticing him.

This agitated them a lot.

"Human! If you keep doing that, you won't get away alive too, you know!" The Black Feather Tribe man yelled out loudly via his consciousness.

"Nah. I would not only live on; I would actually live a better life than all of you. And best of luck to y'all, by the way!" Qin Feng mocked gleefully at him via consciousness too.

"Hey! Come on! Help out your fellow human brethren here! We did not attack you earlier!"

"Yeah, don't kill us!"

There were only two human S-tiers left. As such, they tried to plead for Qin Feng's favor.

The Black Feather Tribe man's face turned grim upon hearing this.

"Are you morons? Just now he killed a human too! Let's band together to kill him and escape!"

Qin Feng took a glance at these people and he noticed that they seemed eager to accept the Black Feather Tribe man's proposal.

These people from the Dark Coalition… their facial expressions were so adorably honest!

Well, it was quite common to find not just Dark Coalition members but also Human Alliance members betraying and killing each other in a battle like this.

Qin Feng did not bother to defeat the others in the onset of the battle because he was usually the first to arrive to harvest the goodies. The others were fighting amongst themselves because they were envious of the first comers.

Such was the way of the world—the capable would always invite the envy of the lesser ones.

"Let's go!"

The Black Feather Tribe man glided toward Qin Feng, intending to kill him head on.

Seeing this, the others too unleashed their attacks. However, they were not unleashing their best attacks. Despite that, the force in their attacks was no joke—they were still S-tiers after all.

It was then, the area surrounding Qin Feng began to fade into a void. From the void, stepped out a young, beautiful lady.

It was Bai Li!

Bai Li activated her spatial abilities and pulled Qin Feng to safety.

In the next second, the attacks exploded around the spot where Qin Feng was standing.

Boom! Booom! Boom!

A massive crater was created from the blast.

Creaak!

Suddenly, a massive black claw extended out from underground, seemingly awakened by the explosion.

Chapter 971: Dragonspine Valley

The claw clapped down and sent a dozen S-tiers falling to the ground. Their faces were as pale as a sheet. Then, their faces turned as black as coal.

A moment later, their bodies twitched around vigorously and moved around like zombies. Then, due to the specters' influence, their life essences were sapped away.

Crash!

Their bodies then turned into dust. As their bodies perished, a large amount of conscious energy fountained out in the area.

However, Qin Feng did not dare to come out from his hiding from the void.

The massive, black claw waved violently around again, trying to search for anything alive in the area. After seemingly having realized that there was no more life form around, it then retracted back into the ground.

It was then, the conscious energy that came out from the corpses dispersed into the realm.

"Ah, what a waste!" Qin Feng lamented.

"It's alright. There are still so many S-tiers around. There's bound to be some idiots that have a death wish." Bai Li comforted him.

They then leaped out of the void and began to pick up all the spatial stones that were left behind by the departed S-tiers.

S-tiers were rare, powerful entities in Qin Feng's home world. However, these entities could die at any time in this world. Even though these S-tiers were highly powerful and respected, they were not completely invulnerable to harm and mortality.

Still, due to them being strong and powerful, they did not tend to stop and be satisfied with what they had.

After collecting the items, Qin Feng turned and decided to leave. He had already harvested a lot of resources for the whole day and the day was getting late.

Although the Bahamut continent was situated on a dark realm, there still was light that was able to pierce through the dark runes and seep to the surface.

Perhaps it was like the saying, "Where there is light, there must be shadow, where there is shadow there must be light."

As for where these lights came from, they probably came from another starglobe that was far away. Or perhaps there was a fire starglobe nearby.

As the Bahamut continent moved about, night had finally come. This had raised the stakes for every living creature that was on the planet. After all, there was darkness everywhere they looked.

Yet, Qin Feng did not intend to return to Zolls' Shuttle Whale. This would be foolish of him to expose himself to further danger. Perhaps Shao Tai was preparing a trap for him back there.

"Hehehehe…."

The specters did not bother to slip back into the shadows and hovered around openly in the wild.

It was already quite difficult for them to handle these specters in the day. Now, they were not only much more challenging to take on but they also gave a rather creepy vibe.

Yet, when Qin Feng saw this, his eyes widened with joy.

"Good!"

If he could kill these specters, he could absorb their conscious energy and ascend!

Thus, Qin Feng willed up his conscious energy.

"Frozen Age!"

In an instant, the area was covered in a thick layer of white, icy runes.

A dozen specters were immediately trapped in the snow. They moved rather sluggishly, like wanderers who were lost in a snowstorm. However, they were specters, not people. They already had Qin Feng locked on and they were moving slowly but surely toward him.

Qin Feng unsheathed his Verdant Emperor Saber and rushed toward them.

These creatures were made of the conscious energy of the S-tiers. In some ways, they were like their ghosts. As such, the Verdant Emperor Saber was able to take them all down with ease.

However, these specters were not self-conscious. Although they saw that many of their specter brethren had fallen, they kept on moving toward Qin Feng, intending to attack him. Although they were now hindered by the snow and ice, the specters were still quite threatening to any S-tier that got in their way.

Too bad though. This man they were after was much more monstrous than them.

And to Qin Feng, these specters were moving too slowly.

"Die!"

Qin Feng slashed a specter to pieces, releasing the dark runes and conscious energy it held into the air. He then immediately absorbed them all into his starglobe.

After that, Qin Feng kept on slashing the specters to their death, absorbing their energies as they fell one by one.

Qin Feng's conscious energy thus got stronger the more battles he went through. On top of that, he could use the excess energy to recharge his Frozen Age along the way.

Slowly, Qin Feng could feel his consciousness ascend to a bottle-neck.

The specters were the continent's core. Thus, by absorbing them, Qin Feng could feel that his consciousness' black starglobe was getting stronger each time he absorbed them.

Boom!

In an instant, a surge of calmness had risen in Qin Feng's mind. His consciousness had been expanded to a new height.

He was now A7-tier.

Qin Feng stopped and raised his head to look at the sky. The sky was slowly being lit up by radiating light behind the clouds—he had spent an entire night killing these specters; and daybreak had arrived.

Still, Qin Feng was satisfied because he was able to ascend to A7-tier.

"Let's take a break." Bai Li said as she walked out of the void.

"Alright."

Qin Feng nodded.

However, the "break" should not be taken at this very spot though.

Bai Li opened up a spatial tunnel and brought Qin Feng with her into a dimension where time moved differently. When they stayed in this dimension, they could take as long as they wanted to rest—in here one day equaled one second outside.

When they got out of the dimension, they had completely recovered.

"This time, let's head north."

Qin Feng needed to get his hands on the Hell Stone.

Although Qin Feng's ice starglobe had only recently been established, he had about three thousand Sacred Ice Stones, making his ice-type abilities quite formidable.

In fact, if he could get over thousands of Gems of Darkness, he would be even more powerful than he was now.

Thus, Qin Feng kept on moving north while harvesting minerals in the day and killing specters in the night.

Seven days went by.

Zolls had arrived at the southern side of the Bahamut continent on his Shuttle Whale.

Originally, there were nine ability users. Now, there were only six left.

Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai were there too. Both of them were not obscenely powerful entities. Nonetheless, Voodoo Lord was quite a dangerous person who could use poison. Shao Tai was not some weakling too.

Besides, they were not too greedy. Hence, they got a good haul.

Still, after such a long time, they still could not find the Black Alp Overlord. The man seemed to have just disappeared into thin air. This made them rather fretful.

After ordering some men into the Shuttle Whale, Zolls opened his mouth, "I won't be here tomorrow. The Dragonspine Valley will appear soon after all. When I'm back at the base, I will use some funds to send you guys home. If you don't want to follow me back now, I'll no longer be responsible for your well-being here."

"Sir, we want to go back!"

"Yeah! The Dragonspine Valley isn't something we can handle!"

The others' faces turned grim when they heard "Dragonspine Valley" and were eager to go home.

It was not Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai's first time here. As such, they knew exactly how perilous the Dragonspine Valley was.

When they wanted to open their mouths to agree on going home, Zolls took a glance at them.

"Where's that human that you mentioned earlier? If he's not coming, you two will then go to the Dragonspine Valley on his stead."

Chapter 972: Shadowy Black Dragon

"Where's that human that you mentioned earlier? If he's not coming, you two will then go to the Dragonspine Valley on his stead."

Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai's faces turned grim upon hearing this.

The Dragonspine Valley was not a place people of their level could handle. It would be a suicide mission!

Still, it was too late. There was no way they could disobey Zolls.

Now, they finally knew what kind of karma they were reaping by working with this man.

***

Meanwhile, in the middle of the Bahamut continent, Qin Feng finally found a Hell Stone in a small hill.

"Aha! There's already a Hell Stone here. Looks like this is going to be a good haul!" Qin Feng tossed the Hell Stone into his consciousness starglobe before journeying on.

Suddenly, he saw two silhouettes on two hills ahead. These were not the silhouettes of humans though.

One of them had a pair of black wings and a long tail—it was a dragon-borne.

The other one was about four meters' tall, with eight pairs of arms on his back. Each of his sixteen hands held different kinds of weapons.

Qin Feng intended to explore every area available in the continent. As such, he kept using his dark runes to conceal his presence to avoid getting into unnecessary fights.

Thus, when he saw these two, Qin Feng quickly unleashed his dark runes to completely conceal himself.

"Eight pairs of hands, huh? That's an SS-tier Dopplehanded."

Qin Feng took a glance at the dragon-borne and inferred that since he appeared alongside this Dopplehanded, he must also be SS-tier.

The real question was, why were these two here? And night was setting in too!

"Nuah, since we both can't get the treasure, how about we call it a tie today? The Dragonspine Valley is about to appear soon. If we keep on going on like this, it would be a loss for the both of us." The dragon-borne said.

"Heh, nice try. How would I know you'll show up here tomorrow?"

"I swear upon my name, Drakao, that I will not do that."

"That's not enough."

"Then, what would you have me do?"

"How about this? Both of us go to the Dragonspine Valley and work together to explore the place. We might get lucky there."

Drakao gave it a short ponder and found that this was a good idea. Perhaps Nuah intended to find a partner from the start and he was lucky to meet him at this time.

"Certainly!"

After reaching an agreement, the atmosphere was not as cold as before. Then, they unleashed their abilities to seal up the entire valley around them. Qin Feng could sense their actions and witnessed how the hills disappeared from his consciousness' detection.

Then, he saw both of them leave the place.

They went in a completely different direction—to the south.

Qin Feng knew these two were too prideful to go against their words. As such, he came out of his hiding and headed toward the place they had sealed off.

"Just what kind of treasure were these two looking for? Not even two SS-tiers like them could find it?"

"And… What is Dragonspine Valley?"

"Let's go check it out then!"

When he reached the sealed place, Qin Feng noticed that the two SS-tiers were really good at concealing the place—they even used dark runes. This method was not efficient for Qin Feng. He too had the ability to manipulate dark runes—perhaps even more skillfully than them. The only thing he could not compete against was his consciousness level.

"Dark Shroud!"

Qin Feng morphed into a shade of shadow and phased through the seal. Finally, he could see what was being hidden—a small black hill, made of dark runes. When he took a closer look, it looked like a massive dragon that was resting on the ground.

Perhaps it had detected Qin Feng's presence, the dragon that was formed by dark runes locked onto Qin Feng before breathing out dark energy from its mouth.

"Roaar!"

Qin Feng quickly stepped backward while shielding himself using his internal energy shield and dark rune barrier.

It did not take long before the dark breath dismantled the dark rune barrier. Now, all that was left was the internal energy shield.

Vooophmm!!

"Hang on!"

Qin Feng willed up his nine starglobes and strengthened his internal energy shield by nine layers! Now, his originally ten-centimeter barrier had been reinforced to one-meter thick.

However, the dragon's breath was getting stronger and stronger, continuing on to deplete Qin Feng's shield.

When his internal energy shield was about to be completely crushed, Bai Li extended her hand from the void and grabbed Qin Feng into it.

In the next moment, the entire place that Qin Feng was standing at earlier had completely turned into utter darkness.

Inside the void, cold sweats were rolling down on Qin Feng's back. This was the first time he had witnessed exactly how dangerous an S-tier creature could be. He had underestimated his foe.

"No… this can't be. That was not an S-tier ability. There's no way an S-tier has such power!"

Then, there was only one explanation left.

It was an ability that was unleashed by an SS-tier…!

It took about ten minutes before everything calmed down. What made this whole thing even more eerie was that the surrounding areas, aside from the obvious increase in dark runes, did not seem to be affected much by the dragon's breath earlier.

"This dark dragon's ability is probably a type of specter. A Champion's consciousness." Bai Li said.

Upon hearing this, Qin Feng finally understood.

If this dragon was a specter, would that mean that killing it would allow him to master that ability?

"Let's pull back and observe from a distance."

"Okay!"

They then retreated away via the void to the spot where Nuah and Drakao met earlier. The seal was still unaffected.

After observing for a while, Qin Feng noticed that this black dragon seemed to be a blob of unstable dark energies—he could see dark runes hovering in and out of the dragon's body from time to time.

This reminded Qin Feng of the runes carved onto the stone tablet in the realm of the Snow Ladies.

Thus, Qin Feng carefully activated his Absorption Ability again.

If this worked like he theorized, he could use his conscious energy as a bait to attract the runes. Sure enough, the runes began to be fished out by Qin Feng's consciousness. And he was able to fish out about one thousand dark runes in one go.

One thousand dark runes seemed like a lot; but it was just a small portion from the black dragon's body.

Seeing this, a beam of smile curved up on Qin Feng's face.

"Absorb!"

The runes were then absorbed into Qin Feng's consciousness before fishing up more dark runes from the black dragon.

Chapter 973: The Dragontail Mountain

Qin Feng carefully absorbed the runes that escaped from the black dragon. The silhouette of the dragon faded gradually as time passed.

One hour…

Two hours…

Ten hours…

The night had passed and out of nowhere, the black dragon suddenly howled. Runes forming the dragon began to disperse and appeared to merge into the surrounding area.

'This is not happening.' Qin Feng would not allow it.

With the dragon disintegrating, Qin Feng charged forward fearlessly.

"Rampage Influx!"

He sped up and arrived at where the dragon was initially positioned rapidly.

"Absorb!"

Qin Feng worked every bit of his conscious power to activate the Absorption Ability. The ability formed an invisible hand to trap the runes and prohibited them from escaping into the atmosphere.

A whirlpool appeared between Qin Feng's brows. It swirled the dark runes and directed them into Qin Feng's conscious realm.

In less than ten minutes, the runes had completely rested in Qin Feng's consciousness.

On his dark starglobe, a giant dragon stood on it and roared impressively. Its roar echoed through his realm.

Qin Feng was thrilled by the feeling.

After obtaining the ability, Qin Feng knew he had guessed it right. This was indeed an SS-tier ability.

This was not something you would find on the blue star. As far as Qin Feng knew, even Prince Xiao's Li's family did not have any SS-tier ancient art.

'Sovereign Roar! This is terrifying. I can't cast this with my current conscious power. I need to at least reach S-tier first.' Qin Feng thought to himself.

However, after he had absorbed all the dark runes, Qin Feng's consciousness had increased exponentially too. His consciousness tier had almost reached A8-tier.

While he was deep in his thoughts, his absorption suddenly became active again. Something had caught its eyes.

Qin Feng followed his instinct and raised his head. He found a crimson teardrop hovering in the middle of the hill where the black dragon was earlier.

'This is…' Qin Feng was astonished. The blood drop was filled with enormous energy. This was surely an exceptional gem. Qin Feng immediately guessed its identity based on the black dragon's aura earlier.

'The blood of Bahamut!'

One drop alone contained absurd power.

Qin Feng's consciousness accelerated. The teardrop seemed to have its own consciousness and attempted to escape. But it eventually succumbed to Qin Feng's pulling force.

Plop.

The blood merged into Qin Feng's body. A powerful force immediately jolted throughout his body.

Dragon blood had always been an elixir that could enhance almost any living being. Qin Feng had once benefited from dragon blood, which greatly improved his physique.

The Immortal's blood had merely touched his skin and Qin Feng already felt an overpowering pressure.

Absorption hauled the energy from the teardrop greedily.

Qin Feng's physique immediately upgraded to A4-tier.

But perhaps the blood had been wandering on this dark land for too long, or perhaps Bahamut had died a long time ago, despite being the Immortal's blood, it promptly disappeared after helping Qin Feng achieve breakthrough.

Nevertheless, it was still a precious upgrade. Qin Feng's physique was like a black hole now after being strengthened by the Geo Heart. The energy that could propel him from A4 to A3 was nothing short of significant. This showed how valuable that one drop of blood was.

'There could be more of this in here. I should head north. Better things are lying ahead.'

The first shade of light had smeared the dark sky. Qin Feng wanted to continue forward but suddenly remembered the conversation between the two SS-tiers.

'I should head to the Dragonspine Valley first.'

Qin Feng turned around and went back the way he came from.

Qin Feng's consciousness was powerful enough to cover a large area. Oddly, he could not sense any aptitude user along the way. There was no sign of life within sight on this continent now.

Although S-tiers were sparse here, such emptiness was rare. Qin Feng still did not bump into anyone past halfway.

He did not know that Dragonspine Valley was too dangerous for most S-tiers. They would warily exit Bahamut on this day. S-tiers who did not run would only end up being caught and enslaved.

SS-tiers were the only ones qualified to set foot there.

Qin Feng raised his head and realized that the sun was shining unusually bright today. This indicated that something unusual was about to take place.

He took another long stride forward. He was now far from where the Shuttle Whale was parked.

Suddenly, a large crowd entered Qin Feng's consciousness.

There were at least a few hundred of them. They were all gathering at a towering peak.

Qin Feng quickened his pace.

When he was about a thousand meters away, Qin Feng could distinguish the aptitude users better. There were thirty to forty SS-tiers, while the rest were S-tiers.

Another thing had caught his attention—A peak that towered in the sky.

'What is this place? Why is there a soaring peak here?'

Qin Feng could not reach the end of the peak through his consciousness. It was clouded by an opaque mist. Nobody dared to climb it at the moment.

Suddenly, Qin Feng recalled the bird's-eye view of the continent when he was on the aircraft.

From up there, the Bahamut continent looked exactly like a crouching dragon. Qin Feng was especially in awe of its magnificent stout tail.

But once they landed on the continent, gravity seemed to work in a funny way here. Their sense of direction was jeopardized and the three dimensions had gone disarray.

Qin Feng believed this peak could be the tail of the dragon he saw up in the air. That was the only explanation why the peak was this enormous.

Then, 12 pm arrived, the time when the sun was the brightest. A warming force shone down from the peak and dispersed the cloudy mist.

The aptitude users around the peak became spirited.

"It's almost time!"

An SS-tier shouted. Though the other S-tiers seemed reluctant, they scrambled up the mountain obediently.

Qin Feng did not want to miss the opportunity and followed behind them quietly.

However, the moment he began the climb, dazzling energy befell him and melted away his aura gradually.

Qin Feng's expression changed.

His dark ability allowed him to conceal his true identity. Nobody would have known that he was just an A4-tier ancient warrior. But the ability had been dispelled by the mountain and that was exposing him.

It would do no harm in other circumstances. But being revealed in front of the SS and S-tiers was definitely not ideal.

Indeed, a lot of people turned to the aberrant presence.

Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai in front of him glanced at Qin Feng at the same time. Their eyeballs almost popped out from their sockets.

"Black Alp Overlord? How's that possible!?"

Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai could not believe it. The man standing in front of them was the overlord that had killed He Tianxing and destroyed Faceless Lord with one skill.

Yet, he was only A4-tier?

"That's not his true strength. His internal force had already attained S-tier. But since his physique is still catching up, his exterior aura remains at A4-tier."

Shao Tai was an ancient warrior himself. Thus, he immediately figured out the contradiction between Qin Feng's aura and his true strength.

Voodoo Lord got the idea. But the fact had only deepened his fear toward Qin Feng. He wanted to kill him more than ever now.

The young man had managed to destroy two S-tiers with an A4-tier physique. His future would only be scarier. They had feuded with him and were worried that he might seek revenge on them in the future. It would be best for them if Qin Feng were killed here and now.

"Master Zolls, that's the man we are talking about. Why not have him work for us?" Voodoo Lord quickly suggested.

Zolls had naturally noticed that Qin Feng was equally baffled. Qin Feng was among the passengers that had come here on his Shuttle Whale. Zolls did not see through his disguise then.

"Interesting!" A sly smile came onto Zolls's face. His consciousness was locked onto Qin Feng.

"Come over here. If you perform well, I will consider rewarding you."

Even though Zolls mentioned a reward, the prerequisite was that Qin Feng had to be alive at the end of it.

If Zolls intended to use him as cannon fodder, then Qin Feng's death was destined.

Qin Feng was rooted at the edge of the mountain peak. His mind, in contrast, spun furiously.

"Hubby, let's leave at once," Bai Li suggested.

"No, wait!" Qin Feng calmed Bai Li down. He stepped forward and moved toward Zolls.

Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai were not the only S-tiers around Zolls. There were six other S-tiers around him. None of them seemed thrilled to be here, but at the same time, none dared to voice their reluctance.

They were probably still safe, for now. Even when there was danger, Qin Feng was confident enough to improvise according to the circumstances.

Thus, Qin Feng decided to follow Zolls for now. He was eager to know what would happen next.

Zolls was satisfied when he saw that Qin Feng was abiding by his order without any resistance. At least Qin Feng showed him enough respect.

"Let's move!" Zolls ordered them to continue climbing.

The higher they climbed, the greater the gravitational force became. Not only that but the energy around them had become more tumultuous too.

The raging energy pounded on them violently, forcing them to advance at a much slower pace.

However, Qin Feng was certainly not one of them.

His Dark Armor was designed to absorb energy from the universe, to begin with.

They were moving as quickly as they could, but the peak seemed endless. They finally saw something different after climbing continuously for one hour.

Multiple giant caves were seen on the peak. It was as if someone or something had poked a series of holes around the peak. Once they reached the peak, Qin Feng's consciousness immediately caught more people on the other side.

Other than the group he came up with, there were actually a few hundred more that had also reached the top of the peak.

"Go!" Zolls urged them. He sneered. "If you guys do as I say, then perhaps you could come out earlier in one piece. Otherwise, none of you will live to see another day!"

They gritted their teeth and entered grudgingly.

The light was sapped out as soon as Qin Feng stepped into the cave. They had seemingly entered a different dimension that was far more enormous than he thought.

Besides, the energy level here was twice as thick compared to the outside.

However, this place was filled with rotting evil.

Hehehe!

A somber, eerie laugh arose around them. It belonged to the resented specters.

More than a hundred specters revealed themselves out of thin air. The specters must have sensed the presence of the SS-tier. They lingered aimlessly and did not approach the party.

"Who wishes to go first?" Zolls glanced at the eight S-tiers maliciously.

Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai were plotting to kill Qin Feng as quickly as possible. Thus, Shao Tai could not wait to suggest, "This guy is only an A4-tier. He would be useless later on. Let him go now and he would still have some use."

In fact, if Qin Feng was really that useless, then Shao Tai could be considered hopeless.

Nevertheless, Zolls agreed with what Shao Tai was saying. He nodded and ordered, "You will be the first."

"Wait!" Qin Feng spoke through his consciousness. Shao Tai and Voodoo Lord became tense. They were worried that Qin Feng might use some gimmick to direct the arrow at them instead.

Without the weird sunray, Qin Feng's dark runes were in action again. He could once again conceal his true form.

But what had been exposed could not be reversed.

"You are not willing to comply? You should know that I can kill you anytime and take over your body as I wish. Go immediately if you still treasure your life. If you do well, I will have someone replace you."

"It's not that I don't want to comply. But this is my first time here. Do you expect me to succeed without telling me anything? Should I just go and waste my chance?"

Zolls was stunned. Qin Feng coming here without knowing anything did surprise him.

At least, he was still being reasonable and explained it to Qin Feng, "Lure the specters and keep running for ten thousand meters. I will have someone replace you once you have succeeded." Zolls did not want Qin Feng to feel despair, so he suggested a change every ten thousand meters. But his consciousness became fierce and he warned Qin Feng sternly, "Don't you dare play any tricks. Petty tricks always don't end well under my watch, remember that."

"Alright, alright!"

While they were talking, more specters had gathered and they were growing restless. Finally, the specters could no longer resist the temptation of human scent and charged at them.

"Go now, or I will kill you!" Zolls shouted.

Even to an SS-tier, being surrounded by hundreds of specters in this dark place was rather dangerous. That was why they needed a relay of cannon fodders.

These specters would not pursue too far. However, they were everywhere in this pitch-black darkness.

Right now, a lot of S-tiers had been worked by their respective SS-tier abusers to lure the specters. In Zolls's group, Qin Feng was the first cannon fodder sent out. He did not tempt fate and ran obediently at the front to draw away the specters.

After one week, Qin Feng had studied the behavior of these specters well. He had killed thousands of them during the night. This number chasing him now was not enough to dazzle him.

That was why he seemed oddly relaxed despite being hounded by a large band of shadows. Zolls did not bring along the Shuttle Whale and jogged closely behind him and the specters.

Though the Shuttle Whale was also a spatial beast, it was not as skilled as Bai Li. The best it could do in this high-pressure environment was to open a spatial tunnel. It was Zolls's last resort to escape if things got dire.

Like Zolls, other SS-tiers had something up their sleeves to get away in the direst of moments. But whether an S-tier could escape unscathed largely depended on luck.

Qin Feng continued to sprint forward. The surrounding was still shrouded by impenetrable darkness. However, it did not obstruct Qin Feng's vision. In fact, he could see clearer in here.

Indeed, he was running through a valley. However, the sensation on the ground was a little different than a normal mountain route. There was also no vegetation around this valley.

'This place is called Dragonspine Valley. Am I running on the spine of Bahamut now?'

Chapter 975: See You Again

Qin Feng guessed it right. They were now in the center region of the continent. This was probably the route that led up to the dragon's brain, where the Immortal's crystal core was placed at.

Since they were on the inside, the energy level was much more abundant than other places on this continent. As a result, the specters roamed this place wherever darkness went. Highly dangerous creatures, like the giant monster with sharp claws from before, would also emerge here during the night.

It took a toll on those below SS-tiers to even move a step in here. Even the SS-tiers could hardly reap any benefits if they were to explore the cave unprepared.

However, high risk often comes with high rewards. More dragon blood that Qin Feng had obtained outside could be abundant here. There were also dark stones and dragon marrow hidden somewhere in here.

As he ran, Qin Feng's consciousness detected a special kind of ore. Though it was only as big as a fingernail, Qin Feng would not waste it.

He suddenly accelerated.

Zolls and the others were baffled. They did not dare to speed up as Qin Feng did.

"What the hell are you doing?" Zolls growled. He did not know what Qin Feng was scheming.

Unbelievably, Zolls actually could not catch up with Qin Feng even if he wanted to.

That did not mean he did not have a hundred ways to kill Qin Feng. But there were too many specters following him. Taking out their target now would only turn the specters toward the main group.

Qin Feng did not plan to slow down. He extended his dark aura over to the ore. Then, he discreetly snatched the stone directly into his spatial equipment.

Qin Feng then immediately slowed down to let the others catch up to him. His consciousness was delivered out at the same time.

"I have completed 10,000 meters. It's time for a switch."

The other S-tiers immediately tensed up. None of them wanted to be the next lure.

"Master Zolls, I don't think he is exhausted yet since he could run that fast just now. There's still fuel left in his tank, why not let him continue?" Voodoo Lord suggested.

Zolls was indeed displeased with Qin Feng. He did not like how the A4-tier kept challenging his patience. Voodoo Lord's suggestion was exactly what he wanted to hear.

"Keep running. I will replace you when I want to. You talk too much."

Qin Feng was calm on the surface but sneered quietly inside. He estimated the number of specters around them and reckoned that was still not enough to threaten Zolls. As such, he conceded and kept running.

There were about 600 men inside the valley now. Some were running at the same pace as Qin Feng. After 10,000 meters, most S-tiers could hardly continue and began to plead.

"I can't continue. Switch!"

"Master, I have reached my limit, save me!"

"Old devil, if I die here, I won't let any of you live."

An SS-tier beside Qin Feng suddenly unleashed an attack. It was too fast for the S-tier to react and his leg was immediately cut off. The scent of blood stimulated the specters as they swarmed toward the amputated S-tier instantly.

The exhausted S-tier was already on the verge of being engulfed by the specters. The attack by the SS-tier only sped up his inevitable death.

"Go!" The SS-tier urged his subordinates and picked another cannon fodder to lead the way.

As for those specters accumulated from earlier, they remained on the spot being hooked by the dying S-tier.

It was a petrifying scene to watch. The other S-tiers ran harder as no one wanted to die in such a pitiful way.

The SS-tiers were cruel and close to being inhumane. Another human was left behind as bait unsympathetically just because he no longer had any value.

Qin Feng maintained a steady speed and did not ask for a switch again. He continued to run for another half an hour and ended up covering 100,000 meters. Because he was not replaced, the specters amassed behind him grew larger and larger. It felt like there were at least four to five thousand of them, not counting those that overlapped with each other.

The others had never seen a person who could endure this long and had gathered these many specters.

Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai were palpitating as they watched the accumulating specters. Zolls also had a bad feeling about it.

"You are doing well. I will give you a chance to live. You can run back now. Whether you can leave this place alive or not depends on yourself," Zolls said.

He would not kill Qin Feng like how the other SS-tiers treated their slaves, because if Qin Feng were to collapse, he would have a large army of specters to deal with. That was not a number he could escape unharmed.

Besides, the next 10,000 meters had been explored by the other SS-tiers before. That was where the real treasures were. Qin Feng's true strength was still a mystery. Zolls did not want such an unstable threat to follow him there.

The idea to activate Dark Shroud had just crossed Qin Feng's mind and Zolls had seen through his intention. Perhaps that was the so-called sixth sense.

But Qin Feng did not mind. If he killed these many specters at once, his consciousness would certainly reach A8-tier.

Thus, Qin Feng accepted Zolls's arrangement without hesitation.

"Thank you for not killing me. I will see you again."

That was not out of courtesy. Qin Feng truly believed that they would cross paths again in the future.

Zolls had been on his high horse for a very long time. It was not Qin Feng if he did not teach him a lesson in the future.

Qin Feng turned around and let Zolls go this time. He disappeared from their sight, along with the large crowd of specters.

After Qin Feng left, the others were momentarily relieved. But a new problem soon arose—Who would be the second person to lead the way?

Qin Feng could not care less about their strife. He broadened his senses after leaving. When he had gone to a safe distance, he freed his true power.

"Frozen Age!"

Numerous abilities amplified by the Sacred Ice Stone were unleashed, generating a destructive force that froze all the specters instantly.

Qin Feng then drew his Verdant Emperor Saber and killed them rapidly.

Numerous dark runes and consciousness merged into Qin Feng's conscious realm. It boosted his conscious power all the way up to the critical point.

Boom!

A familiar hum rang in his head, signifying that the threshold had been surpassed. Qin Feng's consciousness was once again sublime.

A8-tier!

'An Immortal's dimension is certainly full of encounters and opportunities.' Qin Feng could not be more satisfied. He believed that even breaking through S-tier was possible if he stayed here longer.

After cleansing the specters, Qin Feng did not conceal his aura like he usually did. Instead, he bared his life force unreservedly. More so, he took out a crystal core that belonged to the Gorefiend and put it inside the pocket of his Dark Armor.

The crystal core was also pulsing with vitality. As soon as Qin Feng took it out, shadows began to spiral up from the ground.

The specters gathered up around him rapidly as they had never left.

Qin Feng was on the move again.

An activity that others despised, Qin Feng did it willingly and persistently. He wanted to lure as many specters as possible.

Of course, he was headed in a completely different direction from Zolls and co. He did not want to be seen.

Shortly after he began running, Qin Feng heard a raging roar. The sound was followed by an intense aura.

'Death Behemoth!'

Qin Feng reacted immediately.
