Chapter 784: Preparation for a Rescue

Qin Feng did not mind too much about these people's intent of leaving him behind now. He took a look at Jiang Haolin, who returned his look with a bitter smile, as they walked through the silver-light door.

As they emerged from the door to the other side, the ability users quickly flocked around Qin Feng joyfully, completely ignoring their own general.

"Thank goodness we have General Qin coming to our rescue!"

"And thank you too, Deputy Governor Bai!"

They were rather thankful to Qin Feng and Bai Li—thanks to this couple, they got to live to fight another day.

Nodding his head, Qin Feng raised his hand and activated his consciousness to summon his water ability to wash the beast king's blood off him. Now that they were out of the spatial overlap zone, abilities and powers were functioning like normal again.

Bai Li, on the other hand, was surrounded by a celebrating crowd. After all, her power to pierce through the spatial overlap fog was quite astounding to watch.

"Is there any way for us to solve this spatial overlap crisis?" Qin Feng approached Bai Li calmly.

From what Qin Feng knew from his memory from before he was reborn, the problem with the Fettering Land was not solved for another ten years. Still, despite its continuous expansion, the Fettering Land had never grown out too much. So, at least for the moment, there was no need to worry that it would consume the Earth's dimension.

Bai Li shook her head. "The two dimensions are overlapping too tightly right now. It is almost like there's a lock! It would be really difficult to separate them. Especially when we're on the 'weaker' side. And the whole city has entirely fallen to that side too!"

Qin Feng nodded. "Then, you should stay here. The situation on the other side is so eerie and weird. We could not use abilities and consciousness in there. Even if you can manipulate dimensions and space, you might not be able to escape from it."

Bai Li's face turned grim upon hearing this. This little fox had never encountered a problem that she could not solve with her spatial powers before.

After pausing momentarily, Bai Li continued on, "If I've reached to the level of a Dimension Regulator, I could then use my spatial powers to dispel this other dimension away."

Qin Feng could not help but to associate a "Dimension Regulator" to an SSS-tier ability user upon hearing it. And an SSS-tier being was mostly a theory, a myth. He had never even heard of the actual existence of such a being on this planet.

"Okay, I got it. Let's just put the means of solving the phenomenon aside and start gathering up supplies. We need sturdy, metal weapons. Perhaps some low-level guns too… Oh, we need food, water and old-world vehicles—you know, the ones that don't hover." Qin Feng quickly came up with a plan.

The others, upon hearing this, realized that the most important thing they ought to be doing right now was to head back to Chongluo City to rescue the people in there.

They could gather these items from the colonies around Chongluo City. And due to it being the orders of two B-tiers, no one dared to slack off in delivering the goods and vehicles.

The aptitude user's intestine was dragged out by the claws.

His heart had been penetrated by the beast's attack.

These beasts were in monkey form. Luckily, their power was only at D-tier. Qin Feng put them down without facing much resistance.

The blood scent on him was nauseous.

Qin Feng repeated the message twice more. He believed that they had heard him clearly in this pin-drop silence.

Qin Feng's voice seemed to have attracted a beast. The monster dived from the sky and its pair of green eyes closed in on Qin Feng rapidly.

It was a beast with the appearance of an owl.

The owl's sharp claw instantly grabbed Qin Feng's shoulder and dragged him off the ground.

Luckily, the beasts of this spatial overlap did not seem to understand the structure of the building. As such, they had yet to break into the houses and slaughter the defenseless human beings. However, it was only a matter of time before they discovered the hiding place.

Right now, the refugees thought that Qin Feng was only a big talker. It was unrealistic to place hope on him.

As if to shatter their doubt, the owl suddenly shrieked in pain.

Qin Feng amputated the claw of the two-meter-tall owl with one clean swipe. He plunged to the ground as a result, but he calmly activated the glider on his back.

Though he had lost his perception, Qin Feng could vaguely feel the movement inside the mall. The mess around the area was intentional and some simple defensive setup made Qin Feng believe people were hiding inside.

The tempered glass door had been bolted dead. Qin Feng did not destroy it and jumped directly to the first floor. Though the doors here were shut tight too. This place was safe from the beasts, for now. Qin Feng reckoned it would not be too dangerous if he just opened up a small entrance.

Qin Feng began to crack the glass carefully with his saber.

"Who's there?" A low voice interrogated angrily.

Qin Feng had flipped into the mall. One after another metal racks were arranged together as a make-shift barrier. He then saw a B-tier aptitude user standing guard in front of the rack.

The user looked at Qin Feng defensively. After all, Qin Feng was covered in blood and it was unclear whether he was a friend or foe. Everyone had lost their control over conscious power and internal strength inside this dimension. The strong had become the weak, and the weak had become the strong.
