Meanwhile, Qin Feng's aircraft flew closer to the beast emperors, hovering hundreds of meters above them. The Deca Turtles' massive bodies were so close to him that he could almost kiss them.

Of course, Qin Feng was not trying to observe the turtles in close range. He was intending to absorb the turtles. And he feared that he might not be able to do it properly from afar.

However, Qin Feng had foreseen this and had prepared a hand for it.

His consciousness turned into a massive mirror and led the energy rays to burst toward it. As the rays hit on the mirror, it directed them toward the Deca Turtles.

Thus, the energy rays had been shot straight into the holes of the turtle shells. Then…

Booom!!!

The turtle shells exploded. Flesh and shell fragments darted out miles into the air, giving one a glimpse of just how powerful the explosion inside the shells were. Naturally, this had hurt the Deca Turtles tremendously.

"Refract Shot! It's a Refract Shot!"

Guo Guan's eyes were so widened that it felt as though his eyeballs wanted to climb out of his eye sockets to watch closely what was going on outside.

Refract Shot was a high tier technique amongst the D-tier aptitude users. However, it was quite difficult to master. Even to this day, there were only a handful of C-tiers who knew how to do it.

And the reason was simple, really.

The projectiles that could be used for Refract Shots were often energy beams. And the beams were not only strong, they were fast—making it difficult for one to control their aim.

Nonetheless, this was a really valuable technique to master. Refract Shot could alter the projectiles' direction, making it quite difficult to predict their trajectory. If one were to use this in a gunfight, it could end an opponent's life before he even sees where the shots came from.

Not only that, if the enemies were also using energy beams, the Refract Shot users could also deflect the oncoming attacks too, making them virtually invisible in a gunfight.

Of course, as mentioned earlier, to master Refract Shot would require a lot of training. If one's focus was not honed to perfection, it would be almost impossible to pull it off.

"Refra… Refract Shot…!!! How… How did Mr Qin do it? How could he have such powerful focus?!" that E-tier pilot cried out in disbelief.

"Idiot! Boss is an ability user. So, it's natural for him to have this kind of focus!"

Guo Guan, too, was in awe at the display of Refract Shot. However, it did not take long before he realized that Qin Feng was an ability user so he quickly showcased his brownnosing toward his boss. Of course, Qin Feng had no time to entertain him.

As the main cannons and sub-cannons lit up again, the aircraft started to rain another round of shots from above.

Chapter 452: Decimating The Turtles

Energy rays rained down from the sky at a rate that was quite difficult to follow with mortal eyes, dazzling every onlooker that was trying to observe the battle.

Guo Guan widened his eyes in disbelief as he watched Qin Feng's aircraft maneuver. It felt as though this man was doing something impossible for a human being every single minute at the pilot seat.

The whole aircraft was about three hundred meters in length, equipped with several heavy duty main cannons, thousands of sub-cannons and other weaponries. It would take a lot of focus for Qin Feng to pull this off.

Yet, Qin Feng did not seem to be strained by the ordeal of piloting the aircraft using his consciousness.

"Thanks to Godwill Atlas, I have acquired the art of multi-tasking via training. No one can top my skill in multi-tasking!"

Qin Feng seemed to be quite relaxed as he said this.

"Boss, let me help you!"

Seeing that Qin Feng had already beaten the beast emperors to a pulp, Guo Guan hurried to one of the controls and took control of parts of the aircraft.

However, as he merged his consciousness into the aircraft, Guo Guan could feel a very terrifying presence.

This terror… it felt as though it was an enormous, never-ending abyss staring into his soul. This was a rather powerful consciousness that he was sensing.

Guo Guan was a gunner. As such, he had keen and sensitive sensing ability. Qin Feng had great powers hidden within him but he had been actively hiding his powers, resulting in Guo Guan not being able to sense them until this moment

Right now, Guo Guan felt as though he was facing a tremendously powerful ultra beast… an overwhelmingly powerful beast emperor.

If his guesses were correct, Qin Feng's consciousness and powers had already reached that of emperor level!

Meanwhile, Qin Feng took a glance at Guo Guan's consciousness. He felt as though he was looking at a weak, feeble child. The poor gunner could be easily crushed by his consciousness if he wanted.

However, Qin Feng had taken care to provide some controls for Guo Guan. He actively let go of the sub-cannons on the left side of the aircraft and pulled Guo Guan's consciousness to them!

The force of the pull was so great that Guo Guan could not reject it at all. He felt as though he was a toddler being pulled around by an adult straight to the left side of the aircraft.

Guo Guan let out a dry smile as he took control of the sub-cannons and started attacking.

Of course, his attacks were not as great as Qin Feng's. All he could do was to perform direct shots at the Deca Turtles' obvious weak spots.

Again, perhaps it was an attempt to be considerate to Guo Guan, Qin Feng flew the aircraft lower—all the way to sixty meters high. If the Deca Turtles were to turn their bodies, their tummies might actually hit the aircraft.

Still, these giant turtles could not do much to hurt them.

As Qin Feng's energy beam rained down again, a Deca Turtle's body was pierced through.

Then, an enormous energy burst out of the turtle's body, feeding themselves back to Qin Feng.

It felt as though a huge mouth was widening up as it devoured the Deca Turtle's energy.

In an instant, Qin Feng could feel that his body had gotten stronger again. His heart was beating stronger and livelier than before.

He could even feel that his lifespan appeared to have been extended too.

The Deca Turtles were a rare kind of ultra beast. Their cores could prolong human lifespan.

One core could raise one's lifespan by ten years!

That was why many people were killing one another to grab these resources.

Qin Feng's eyes were beaming with laughter.

There was no way he would let others acquire these cores.

Although increasing his own lifespan did not mean that he could avoid other kinds of untimely demise, still Qin Feng did not want to miss this opportunity.

As the aircraft kept firing at the turtles, the onlookers could see very clearly that the aircraft's left cannons and weapons were not as efficient as the others.

However, since the Deca Turtles were all turned over and incapacitated, there was no need to worry about them attacking back. These ultra beasts were no threat to them whatsoever.

"Let's go down. We have loads of materials to harvest!" Qin Feng ordered.

The others seemed to have awakened from their awe after hearing what Qin Feng said. They quickly got ready and got down from the aircraft.

There were about, including Guo Guan, a hundred men on the aircraft. There were around thirty E-tier aptitude users and the rest of them were just janitors, cooks and cleaners.

As such, it seemed unthinkable for them to have all the aptitude users leave the aircraft, leaving it undefended. Not only that, they did not even know what these giant turtles were called. These things were so enormous that each one of them looked like a huge villa. If they were to climb into the turtle shells, it would seem as though they had entered a massive building.

Bai Li raised her hand and focused her Psionic power. In an instant, the beast emperors' cores, each a meter wide, appeared on the ground!

The cores had rims of golden radiant on them, attracting the eyes of the ones who were looking at them. And there were eleven of them in total.

Bai Li raised her hand again and moved the cores into her spatial rune equipment.

"Quick, harvest the flesh. We need to get them boarded onto the aircraft! What? We don't have enough containers? Then what are you waiting for? Get the hover copter and buy more of them. The nearest market should be minutes of flight away! Go!!"

Guo Guan excitedly ordered his underlings to work. The others, at the same time, started to clean up the area with tools in their hands.

"These turtle shells can be melted and made into rune equipment. And you can cut them open vertically like this. It's easier to get their flesh this way!"

The Deca Turtles had a lot of goodies on them. Qin Feng did not want to waste an inch of their corpses. Meanwhile, he also needed to be careful to not expose Bai Li's spatial dimension. As such, Qin Feng assigned everyone to dissect the Deca Turtles' shells.

Bai Li, together with the rest of the crew, started to dissect the turtles and opened up their shells, cutting them up to pieces of three meters wide as Qin Feng put them all into the spatial rune equipment.

Qin Feng had too many of these equipment on his hands anyway. So, it would be a waste if he did not use them here now. If there were loot that did not look particularly interesting to Qin Feng, he would toss them into the Battlegod Tomb. Xue Xingfu could handle those for him.

Thus, Qin Feng took out one spatial rune equipment after another as he filled them up with loot.

Suddenly, an aptitude user let out an excruciating cry and started to roll around in one of the turtle shells. His body had turned as red as blood!

"Wha… what is happening?"

The others in the crew were shocked when they saw this.

Qin Feng too took a look at the scene before letting out a cold smirk.

He raised his hand and used his Psionic power to throw the aptitude user out of the turtle shell.

For a while, the aptitude user kept on rolling on the ground painfully. Then, a surge of energy rose up from his body.

This was an F-tier aptitude user. In the City of Death, people like him tended to only get janitorial jobs. Usually, they were cannon fodders in the slums. With their abilities, they could bully the commoners who had no powers but due to them being weak it was not uncommon to be slaughtered by the stronger users.

Yet, this person's presence suddenly experienced a huge burst. And in an instant, he turned into E-tier!

Still, despite the increase in tier, this aptitude user seemed to have suffered a great deal. His body had swelled up a lot—it looked as though his whole body had become a filled balloon and he could burst into pieces at any time.

Qin Feng clenched a fist of internal force and released it.

"Pffft!"

The aptitude user's head instantly broke from his neck and shot one meter high up into the sky. Blood burst out of the aptitude user's neck like a mini fountain of blood.

Chapter 453: The Creeping Eyes

Everyone watched with a surprised face.

It was quite common for a newly beheaded corpse to have blood gushing out. Yet, the blood was fountaining for quite an extended period of time.

"What… what the hell…"

Guo Guan looked at the blood fountain that was bursting from the corpse in shock.

Qin Feng, meanwhile, focused his consciousness on everyone at the scene.

In an instant, everyone felt as though they were being glared at by a really powerful ultra beast, freezing them in fear. Many of them were breathing heavily as their backs started to bend over, seemingly struggling to kneel down before Qin Feng.

"This is the flesh of D-tier beast emperors. Do you think you could take on these things' power without proper procedures? Get back to work. Don't worry, I'll reward all of you accordingly. But no more funny ideas or else you'll suffer a fate worse than death!"

Qin Feng's eyes were flashing with a fierce glow.

That F-tier aptitude user had sneakily taken some blood from a Deca Turtle and drunk it in one gulp!

There were tons and tons of flesh and blood left over by the Deca Turtles. And that aptitude user was from the slums. Some people from the slums tended to be filthy thieves who would take advantage of any situation they were in.

Still, if Qin Feng wanted, he could have helped the aptitude user to dissolve the berserking energy in his body. It was quite simple really—even Guo Guan could do the same. By doing that, he could help the aptitude user to acquire great power and he himself could get some friendly networks in the city.

However, Qin Feng was not one who would allow others to take advantage of him. It was simply impossible for him to allow that. Hence, he killed that little twerp without hesitation.

And he had made an example out of that F-tier aptitude user. Seeing this, the others forfeited any selfish ideas and started to cautiously harvest the beast emperors' corpses.

These things were prized loot. However, the culture within the City of Death was quite different than the ones outside. The good stuff was only reserved for the strong. Without the consent from the strong, it was a crime for the weak to collect these goodies.

Guo Guan's underlings were quick to return with their hover copters. Now that the equipment to store these Deca Turtles' flesh were ready, everyone went to work at full speed.

Nonetheless, these beast emperors' flesh and blood still had a strong stench, luring the other ultra beasts to come forward. They thought that these were dinner.

Most of the people in the scene were low tier aptitude users. Thus, when they saw the ultra beasts, they were so afraid that they froze up in fear—some of them could not even stand properly with their shaking feet.

"Howwwl!!!"

A Swiftwind Wolf crept over after giving a long howl. These wolves were wind type E-tier ultra beasts, formidable assassins in the wild. Naturally, being wolves, they tended to work in packs. This one was most certainly a scout.

Guo Guan's face turned grim when he saw this.

"Boss, let's retreat!"

Although there were still a lot of materials to harvest, Guo Guan felt that it was about time to turn tail. The ability to resist one's greed was the secret to living longer in this world.

"No! Keep on working. Hurry!" Qin Feng calmly ordered.

Then, Qin Feng vanished into thin air.

In the next instance, Qin Feng had appeared next to the Swiftwind Wolf and slashed his Verdant Emperor Saber diagonally upward. The Swiftwind Wolf's head fell almost instantly.

"Growl… Howwwwl!!"

A series of howls could be heard from the distance.

The Swiftwind Wolves had good noses and possessed the power of the wind. More importantly, they were team players. Right after Qin Feng had slain the Swiftwind Wolf's scout, the rest of the pack immediately knew what happened!

Suddenly, there was a huge hurricane blowing up from the horizon. It felt as though there was a massive wall of wind closing in on them at great speed!

Qin Feng squinted his eyes to look at the oncoming storm. With his consciousness, he could see just how many wolves were coming their way.

It seemed that there were over thousands of them! And not only that, some of them were D-tier beast generals and a beast king!

So that was why they dared to march onward despite sensing a great threat from Qin Feng!

Guo Guan could not say anything this time. But he did not think that Qin Feng could handle an army of these buggers!

"Bo… Boss!!!"

Yet, Qin Feng did not seem to care. Suddenly, a pair of blue, fiery wings appeared on his back! Then, the fearless man darted straight to the air and toward the wolf pack!

He wanted to face them head on!

Guo Guan could not help but feel that Qin Feng had lost his mind.

Those were over thousands of Swiftwind Wolves!

Even the C-tier aptitude users would do their best to avoid clashing with an army of beasts like this!

However, Qin Feng did not intend to do that.

"Come and get it!"

A smirk appeared on Qin Feng's face as he flew straight to the wolves.

When the Swiftwind Wolves saw Qin Feng, they immediately activated their wind runes without hesitation.

Powerful gusts started to swirl up around him.

Qin Feng's body started to sizzle with internal force. When the wolves' wind landed on his body, loud cracks could be heard in the air but Qin Feng's body did not sustain any damage at all.

"Howl!"

Swiftwind Wolf King was enraged when it saw this. It opened its jaw and shot a powerful Wind Shear Vortex at Qin Feng. These attacks were so powerful that an ordinary human could see them with their bare eyes. And they could tear hills to pieces in seconds too!

Still, Qin Feng did not evade it. Instead, he raised his hand.

"Hellfire Ball!"

A huge fireball, one that was over five meters wide, appeared above his hand and flew straight at the Wind Shear Vortex!

Booom!

The two attacks clashed and exploded. Flickers of fire flitted in the sky with the wind like red, crimson leaves.

The flittering fires were no ordinary fires too. Hellfires were quite difficult to put out. Much like maggots that had gotten a hold of bones, it was quite difficult for one to get rid of them when these fires had landed on their bodies.

In an instant, the Hellfire had rained down upon the Swiftwind Wolves.

From afar, Qin Feng felt like he was watching huge fireworks exploding in the air and its sparks flittered down. And then, waves of fire bloomed out on the ground as the Swiftwind Wolves yelped painfully.

Qin Feng raised his hand again.

"Decaying Rain!"

The skies suddenly turned dark and gloomy, almost as dark as the cloak of night. Then, black-colored, heavy rain started pouring down onto the Swiftwind Wolves. The wolves' painful yelps turned into excruciating cries.

Their hides and bones started to wither and decompose. Such was the power of the Decaying Rain.

Thousands of ultra beasts? So what? They all perished almost in the blink of an eye by Qin Feng's hand.

Guo Guan and the others watched the battle with their jaws rolling on the ground; they could not believe what they had just witnessed.

"Wow, it's no wonder these aptitude users are so prideful. They could kill off thousands of ultra beasts in an instant!"

With great power like this, even if he did not go out of the city and slaughter ultra beasts for the Dark Coalition, the coalition would still treat him like royalty.

Besides, if an aptitude user like this were to go berserk, the City of Death could turn into Ruins of Death overnight!

As everyone was in awe and deep in their thoughts, Qin Feng's work with the Swiftwind Wolves was done.

After witnessing Qin Feng's might, the Swiftwind Wolf King quickly turned tail and fled. Yet, in less than a second, Qin Feng had already caught up to it. As a fuchsia glare flashed in the air, Qin Feng had cut the beast king down with his Verdant Emperor Saber!

As the Swiftwind Wolf King fell lifelessly on the ground, a surge of energy was absorbed into Qin Feng's body.

It was not much but it was enough to help Qin Feng ascend to a higher tier. Now, he was a D7-tier aptitude user!

In just a month's time, Qin Feng had already gotten the power of eleven Deca Turtles and a beast king, giving him a huge leap in strength. Qin Feng was very satisfied with this result.

And Qin Feng's ascension to a higher tier was also witnessed by everyone who was watching from afar. They almost went numb from the shock of witnessing a series of miracles!

A moment later, there were still a few hordes of ultra beasts marching toward their direction. The corpses of the Deca Turtles were, after all, a delicacy that was quite difficult for these ultra beasts to give up. Needless to say, Qin Feng had slaughtered them all too.

Meanwhile, the C-tiers that were stealthily hiding from afar were watching with great envy, seemingly about to strike at any time!

Chapter 454: Have You No Shame

Naturally, Qin Feng's consciousness had noticed these people in the shadows.

He let out a smirk.

These people were smart to not leap out and rob them. Well, even if they did that, Qin Feng would not mind killing more today. He could absorb their internal energy this way.

It was Chen Xiang.

"Commander, Longchuan City has fallen!"

"What?" Qin Feng was surprised to hear the news.

If he remembered it correctly, in the timeline before he was reborned, Longchuan City would still be standing by this time. How could it fall to the hands of the enemies?"

That was the city where most of the important figures in the authorities lived!

"What's going on? Didn't they have an A-tier aptitude user? How did the city get attacked? And has the A-tier aptitude user not arrived yet?" Qin Feng asked all of his questions in one go.

Chen Xiang shrugged and answered, "Cui Lian was there but he was murdered!"

"What?!"

This time, Qin Feng was completely shocked!

Chen Xiang, not intending to beat around the bush, continued on, "They used that energy ray that killed Gao Yukang. And Cui Lian was too careless. He floated to the air and tried to use his consciousness on them, asking them to surrender. Yet, they took him down in one coordinated shot…"

Qin Feng was so speechless after hearing this!

Was Cui Lian retarded?!

It was quite common knowledge by now that Gao Yukang died this way. And now he was giving them the chance to pull the same killing blow on him?!

Or perhaps, Cui Lian did not know who Gao Yukang was—most A-tier aptitude users usually did not care about the death of one C-tier.

Nonetheless, the Grans' technology was quite impressive.

Qin Feng remembered that in the timeline before he was reborn, Cui Lian was able to sneak into the Floating City and murder a lot of people there. And yet now, why had he become so thick and reckless?

"So, how does the Human Alliance intend to handle this?" Qin Feng asked.

"I don't know. However, I think even the A-tiers would not dare to come anymore. So, the alliance would most probably use the human wave attack?"

Using the human wave strategy would mean that there would be a lot of people dying in the battle. This meant that the alliance was desperate.

"Or, they could just give them the land?"

This meant that the alliance would just allow the Grans to settle in Longchuan while the humans moved out of the city.

To the humans, there was not much loss if they did this. After all, Longchuan was just a city on the frontlines. And they had a lot of other cities like this one.

However, these were not something Qin Feng needed to worry about. Instead, he was thinking about the Floating City.

The Floating City… this was such an attractive place. It had a mobile fortress and powerful machineries. If he could acquire them, his personal strength might not increase by a lot but his personal army here could benefit from them.

They could literally go anywhere with no bounds.

In a brief scan with his conscious energy, Qin Feng was able to see the eleven Deca Turtle cores in his training room.

"These would be enough for me to ascend once more!"

Thus, Qin Feng put his hand on one of the cores.

"Absorb!"

In an instant, Qin Feng's body was strengthened once more. A surge of power flowed in his body as his heart beat firmly. Each heartbeat was like the sound of drums.

Although Qin Feng was still at the peak of his prime, he could feel that his body had grown past the supposedly "prime" part of his age. All the cells in his body had become rejuvenated!

His lifespan was extended again.

Qin Feng quickly checked with his consciousness and learned that his puberty stage had been extended. Now, his body would experience puberty and continue to develop until he was twenty years old instead of eighteen years old.

This also meant that his fully matured adult form would be around fifty years old.

The potential within Qin Feng's body had gotten bigger and deeper now. He could develop his own strength naturally even more.

And that was not all. He would not stop with just one core.

Thus, the Deca Turtle cores got absorbed into Qin Feng's body one by one.

"Yeah. And this is the best deal you could get. 300 billion credits is the maximum price you can get in the market."

Bai Li looked at them coldly. "Even if I sell you ten of them, the most I would get is 3 trillion credits. How pitiful. What? You think I don't have this kind of money?"

The five visitors were tongue-tied after hearing Bai Li's words.

"Ms Bai, if you want to keep on living here in the City of Death, it would be best for you to share things. It's not proper manners to be this selfish!"

Their shields immediately hit its threshold. It could hardly maintain itself for more than a second before the protective shielding was broken through and the beam speared through the hover copter.

One hover copter was taken down!

As such, fierce combat arose between the two forces. Combat that was as intense as Longchuan's.

It was not until three years later that someone would get caught by some ironclad ants and be brought to the center of the underground labyrinth that they had discovered the location of the hidden spatial rift and reported it to the Human Alliance.

Since there were no more Gaea Crystals at that time, the Human Alliance sent a space stabilizing device to completely solve the issue there.
