Chapter 1 - PROLOG

Grim, New Jersey - A seaside town just North of New York City and south of New Jersey's Atlantic City, Grim may be considered a hidden gem in South Jersey. With its small size and beautiful beaches along the Atlantic Ocean, you can get away from the hustle and bustle of your typical American city without feeling that you're too far from the city's heart.

But, just like every other American town, people in Grim have the same issues as those in any big city: They struggle with unemployment and underemployment, a lack of affordable housing, and a lack of health care. Most people in Grim cannot afford to go to college, and for many students and young professionals, that leaves them unemployed or underemployed. And for too many people, that lack of education has led to drug and alcohol addictions that can ultimately lead to jail.

But, like most of America, there are people in Grim who have achieved success. Not everyone who lives in Grim is struggling, and they don't have to feel like they are a part of a forgotten community because of how successful people have become. And, the people who were able to find success in this "small" town, in turn, helped to pave the way for the people who follow.

But recently, a tragedy has struck the town of Grim: 3 local teens have gone missing in the past few weeks, and local authorities have not been able to locate them. Local law enforcement officials, including those at the New Jersey State Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), have been trying to solve this mystery and bring these kids home safely. But, according to local police, they have had little luck thus far.

However, to put the minds of Grim's citizens at rest, the local police have decided to throw a movie party. The police say that the idea is to try to ease their frustrations, but also raise money to help the search for the missing kids. But, as you will soon see, this "party for kids" takes place on August 17th, the same day as the release of Rob Zombie's version of "The Munster's."
