By the time Zuriel gets to where Kei crashed, he discovers that Rainhaven is healing him. This confuses Zuriel. No one told him how to calm him, yet he figured it out on his own. He doesn't even have All-Seeing Eyes to read Zuriel's mind, so he wonders how.
He summons his grimoire and prepares to attack but Rainhaven says, "I do not wish to fight anymore."
Zuriel stops right before the crater and says, "You incited it, why ask to stop now? Not that I. . . want to but uh. . . I'm just curious."
"Because I have seen what I needed to see."
"And that is?"
"This boy's worthiness to become Lady Fumiko's warrior."
After dismissing his grimoire, Zuriel lights up a cigarette. He inhales the smoke and sighs so deeply. "How did you hide it? I read your mind with my All-Seeing Eyes and never saw this intention of yours."
"I am a master of my mind. I can show you what I want to show you. And hide those what I want to hide."
