The music is loud as ever in this stadium. I'm letting Lucy lead the way because of the crowd. They're partying like there's no tomorrow. All of them are intoxicated. Some are smoking substances from their vapes. It makes me dizzy and I don't know how they can live in this air. What even is that? No, whatever it is, I don't wanna know. I also don't want to know what they're putting in their drinks. There are those kissing and grinding their bodies against each other. This is a "hell" of a rave, indeed in a way that I don't like it.
Then there is a couple that gets in my way from following Lucy. Why do we have to walk, anyway? We have Shadowclutch. Between them, Lucy extends her hand, asking me to grab it. I shake my head but she nods even more. As soon as my hand lands on hers, she grabs and pulls me, making me slip in between the couple but they seem to be unbothered.
After all that work in slipping through crowds, no sidequest popped up. I badly want to tell her that I want to return to Alice's peaceful room to spare my eardrums and sanity. Instead, when the beat starts to intensify, she starts to dance in front of me.
Her smile as she looks at me and her freestyle dancing going along with the beat is mesmerizing. I wish I could dance like that too. I never had the chance to dance in my world. My legs are useless. Only in games did I actually dance but they were controlled by computer animations so it wasn't me. Right now, I'm stiff, having no clue how to dance. But Lucy is dancing so fine like her body just naturally moves with the beat.
"Come on, dance!" she says but I couldn't hear her voice. Reading her lips is all I could do.
"I can't!" I say.
Then she starts to dance closer to me with an enticing look. With a rhythm, she dances around me as I just stand still, concerned that someone might notice us. I'm worried over nothing as other people are busy dancing. I hate to admit it, but Lucy's dance is. . . I don't know what word to describe it but I want to look, at the same time, I don't want to. There is a lingering fear inside of me that I might lose control.
Ugh! Shake that thought off your head, man! Don't give in!
I shake my head at her one more time and she finally stops, her hands on her waist while smiling, her head tilting. *Swallow* Now, I kinda want to see her dance again.
Nope, nope, nope. . . don't ask for it. Let's just get out of here.
She leans forward and yells near my ear so I could hear. Her scent is quite something. I smell something like candy.
"Why won't you dance?" she asks.
"I can't!"
"But do you wanna?"
"I don't know. . . maybe?"
"Follow me!"
Grabbing my hand, she pulls me as we go through the crowd. Again, we could've just used Shadowclutch. I don't get why she wants to do it the hard way.
Later, we're in front of a bar with a lot of drunk people asking for more. A tentacle monster is serving the drinks with its tentacles. It can serve up to twenty people.
There is a mic hanging from the eaves of the bar. She says something and the "tentacle-on-duty" nods. It starts to mix a drink from the faucets on the wall behind it. It didn't take a long time to present a tall glass of drink on the bar. She then hands it to me so I get a closer look. In the glass, the top is neon violet and blends into neon blue at the bottom. There are star-like sparkles in it, making look like a galaxy. It is hot rather than cold but my Daemonic instinct tells me that it's refreshing.
"What is this?" I ask her.
"A dancing juice."
I feel suspicious of this drink. Even the smell is suspicious! "Yup, I'll pass," I say, handing it to her but she pushes back.
"Man up and chug!"
"No!" I refuse but she forces me to drink it. "Stop!" No matter how much I refuse, she doesn't stop. I try to spill it but she's too strong!
"Just drink it!"
"I said. . . n—"
She shoves the glass into my mouth! I'm gonna drown! I can't stop her! Just swallow it for now! Swallow! Hurry! I need to. . .breathe! I'm losing. . . consciousness. . .
I exhale so deeply and inhale deeper after she removes the glass from my mouth. Ugh! My head! Everything is. . . spinning!
"Dance," a voice so clear in my head says. "Dance." I have no choice but to give in. The beat is like a voice telling my body what to do. The next thing I know is that Lucy is leaning her back against me as we dance to the music. I can smell her fragrant hair. It's as if I'm in the park when the flowers bloom. Is this okay? I. . . I'm married to Alice. This is cheating.
No, that meant nothing. That was just. . . I don't even know what was the purpose of that. I read in the manual. . . that a married couple share EXP. But that's it. There is nothing else. No vow whatsoever. I can dance with Lucy like this for as long as I want. She's the only one that made me feel this way. And. . . she's not that bad of a girl. There is a mellow feeling inside of me whenever I touch her.
"This feels so wrong," I say near her ear as she leans her back at me.
"What is?" she asks.
"This."
"We're just having fun. What's the harm in that?" She squeezes my thigh as she sways.
Yeah, she's got a point. We're having fun and this is not hurting anyone. My carnal desires are intensifying. I wanna touch. . . more of her. I glide my hands from her hips to her abs then further down but she stops me right there. Her hand pinning mine.
"Uh-uh. . . That's as you can go," she says.
"That's a shame," I say playfully but feeling her abs in my palm and kissing her neck is enough.
I don't know why but everything in my mind that I want to speak and do, I can speak and do with confidence. Is this the effect of that Dancing Juice? I might need it again. This feels great! I feel free!
We drink, dance, and play games with other people. I've never had so much fun! I never thought being around strangers is so thrilling! We don't know each other but we want the same thing: to have fun! Soon, they introduced me to new drinks. I can't refuse because it will ruin the vibe. Some drinks are said to give you more energy that you don't have to eat or sleep so you can dance all you want. It's just what I wanted!
"Lucy!" I say after a gulp of a drink that they say will stop you from getting bored. I think she already knows about this drink but I want to share it with her. "Check this out, it's a drink that—" I look behind me but she isn't there. "Lucy?"
