THE NEXT DAY
Amari and Kanye walked through the hall in discussion about the upcoming prom next month,"I don't even know what to wear"Amari says helplessly as Kanye chuckles.
"Whatever you wear,let's match so we we win prom king and queen"Kanye says with a chuckle as Amari nods,"Am so sick of winnings in prom" Amari says as Kanye laughs nervously.
"Not of you winning prom king though,just of Zoe wearing the crown three years in a row"Amari says as Kanye breaths out in relief,"thank Lord" Kanye says as Amari chuckles.
"Where is Kim?"Amari asks Kanye, "She has a fever, nothing out of the ordinary,one of our classmates threw their birthday party yesterday and she was invited,it was a pool party and she got drunk and passed out in the pool,so she has a mild fever now"Kanye explains as Amari nods.
"Am glad it's not serious"Amari says as Kanye nods,some group of people rushes to Amari as she scratches her head,"what is it?"Amari asks curious.
"We heard your an intern at Linox,can you get us a pass to the launch program please"-A female student1,"We've seen the trailer for the new game mount Everest kills"-male student 1.
"you most have access there"-male student 2,"am just an intern guys,how can I get y-","Oh come in Amari,we know your the one playing the demo"-male student 3.
"H-","Your photo shoot was yesterday right,we saw the pic,it's been all over the internet,that your the one who's going to play the game at the launch"-female student 2.
"My photo?"Amari asks as one of the girls pulls out her phone showing her the photo, Amari was seen in a fighting stance with her headset on at the corner saying,Linox top gamer.
"When was that taken?"Amari says shocked,"Not only that,a video of you playing the game was released earlier this morning"-Male student 2.
"And the news of you beating Zoe at a rematch has spread like wild fire" -male student 1,"You better watch out for Zoe, she's really pissed"-female student 1.
"Why couldn't you keep your mouth shut"-male student 2,"IT WAS NEVER OPEN!!"Amari Screams as she pulls Kanye taking him away as they leave the group of students.
"Did you tell someone that Zoe lost?" Kanye asks Amari as she shake's her head,"of course I didn't"Amari says as they get in class,the moment they stepped in everyone eyes where on them.
"Are they staring at us?"Amari asks Kanye as he shakes his head,"Am thinking you"Kanye whispered back at her,"Do you think it's because of the rumor?"Amari whispers back.
"Totally"Kanye whispers back to her, "Wanna leave?"Kanye asks Amari as she nods,they both rush out of the room.
IN THE CAFETERIA
"so what are you going to do"Kanye asks Amari as she shrugs,"I honestly don't know how that information got leaked"Amari says as Kanye nods.
"the only person aware of me beating her in the rematch,are lincoln,me,fellow workers,and..."Amari eyes widened as she looks at Kanye,"REAH!!!"-Both.
AFTER SCHOOL
Amari and Kanye got out of school, heading out to hail a cab, as they both get in,"Am confused,why would Reahana do that?"Kanye asks as Amari shrugs.
"Beats me,I honestly don't know, what to believe"Amari says as Kanye nods, "Smart estate"Kanye informs the driver as he starts his car.
"No Greenville avenue,you need to go take care of Kim" Amari says as Kanye shakes his head,"Dont worry I'll drop you off,then head home next"Kanye says as Amari shakes her head turning down the idea.
"your sister is sick,you go first"Amari says as Kanye facepalms himself,"So where to?"-driver,"Greenville avenue!!", "Smart estate!!",they both call out different address at the same time.
"I thought we agreed on you going to your sister First?"Amari asks as Kanye shakes his head,"i thought we agreed on dropping you home first?"Kanye says as Amari groans.
"fine you win"Amari says as Kanye shakes his head,"nah,I want to go first now"Kanye says as Amari face palms, "Agrrrrrrr fuck you,you prick"Amari says falling back in the chair.
"*chuckles*,you guys are a cute couple,bless you too"-driver,"oh um w-", "thank you"Kanye cuts Amari short as she turns to him confused,"Kanye" -whispers,"What?"-whispers back.
Amari rolls her eyes,she lifts up her hands showing him her engagement ring as he shrugs,"Do you expect me to turn down a blessing?"-kanye whispers back with a shrug as he looks out the window.
Amari narrows her eyes at him as she pulls out her phone,"Am going to be a bit late"-Amari text,She keeps back her phone looking out her window as well, *beep*, Amari pulls out her phone seeing Lincoln's text.
"Am not even coming home today, stay at your friends"-Lincolns text, Amari sighs keeping away her phone as she turns to Kanye who was still looking out the window,'weird'amari thinks within.
AT GREENVILLE AVENUE
Kanye gets out of the car about to bid her goodbye when Amari shockingly get out as well,"huh?"Kanye says shocked.
"Am going to spend a night with you guys"Amari informs Kanye as his cheeks tint, A bit as he quickly turns away to hide it.
Amari walks pass him as she gets in the apartment, to see Kim on the couch resting her head,on Aaron's lap.Amari ceases her brow's, Kanye comes in from behind her,to see what made Amari freeze.
"Aaron?"Kanye says as Aaron turns to them with widened eyes as Kimberly got up sitting upright, Aaron gets up clearing his throat,"Hi princess"Aaron says to Amari as she just nods.
She turns to Kimberly,who was looking down at her legs nervously, "How are you doing now?"Amari asks as Kim nods,"much better thank you" Kimberly says looking up with a small smile.
Amari turns to Aaron who was worriedly looking at her, as he played with his hands.
AMARI POV
I won't lie, seeing Kimberly resting on Aaron's lap gave me a flash back to when I used to do that,and he would play with my hair putting me to sleep.
I don't know whether the real reason I was angry, is because they had the relationship behind my back,or the fact that Aaron has another girl in his life.
Who he would shower with love and kisses,who he would give piggy backs to and call princess, maybe it was jelousey and not anger or the feeling of betrayal.
Aaron and I where really close even closer than twins,he was the one I was closest to,now I understand why no one could understand my annoyance about their relationship,it wasn't anger it was pure jelousey.
That there's someone who would take his time,who would take his names,who would take his love,who would take his attention, someone who he'll call princess, another girl to receive his forehead kisses.
The pain of loosing the one closest to you hurts immeasurably,I can't explain how much it made me want to cry, maybe I was being a child,maybe am not matured enough.
Thinking of it,there is nothing wrong with your friend dating your brother,now knowing the reason for my anger was jelousey and selfishness,maybe I do crave to be center of attention like Kim said,maybe I am self centered.
I didn't think about his feelings not once,the one I claim am the closest to,I hurt him the most, giving him a cold shoulder all this time,am selfish,am selfish,I've always been selfish.
The one I call my best friend,I even hurt her as well,all those mean things I said to her,the insult I baptized her with,yet she helped me during my presentation,she still sees me as a friend,am selfish,am selfish I've always been.
Amari looks up to Aaron as tears gathered her eyes,"Princess what ha-","i love you Aaron"Amari says as she embraces her brother,with a tight hug, shocking him.
"i love you too princess"Aaron says hugging her back,"you know you'll always be my number one girl and love" Aaron says to her as she hugs him thighter.
