Chapter 31 - chapter 27.2. What are you?

[chapter 27. What are you?]

[part 2]

"Is that all you got," Alec taunted, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he circled Selena.

Selena rolled her eyes, knowing what Alec was trying to do. You can't rile me up that easily. "Well... since you are being this slow, this is all I can give," she shot back, her fists ready for an attack.

Alec moved in, throwing a punch, but Selena easily dodged it, stepping to the side and countering with a quick jab to his ribs. Alec grunted, and Selena saw a brief flash of pain in his eyes.

"You're getting slow in your old age," Selena teased, a smirk playing at the corners of her mouth.

Alec's eyes narrowed. "You wish," he shot back, launching another attack.

"It feels like cotton on skin," Alec taunted, stepping back and circling her. "You know, you're like a little puppy. All bark, no bite."

Selena's nostrils flared in anger, or at least that's what she showed him, and she lunged forward with a series of lightning-fast jabs and hooks. Alec was caught off guard, stumbling backward as Selena's punches found their mark.

But he quickly regained his footing, moving in and delivering a punishing blow to Selena's side. She winced but didn't let up, using her speed and agility to dance around Alec's attacks.

"You're not as tough as you think you are—pretty boy," she taunted, ducking under a punch and countering with a swift kick to Alec's leg.

He groaned in pain but didn't back down, moving in and trading blows with Selena. The two fighters were evenly matched, each pushing themselves to the limit in their quest for victory.

"Bring it on, pretty boy," she taunted, her eyes locked on his.

Alec's lips twitched in a smirk. "Oh, I'll bring it, all right," he panted, lunging forward with a quick jab.

Selena blocked the punch with the flow—ducking under his arm and landing a swift kick to his stomach. Alec stumbled back but quickly regained his balance, his eyes blazing with determination.

"You're not the only one with moves," he said, darting forward and throwing a series of quick punches.

Selena deftly dodged each blow, her body moving with fluid grace. She could feel the sweat beading on her forehead, but she didn't let it distract her.

"You'll have to do better than that," she said, launching into a series of jabs and hooks.

Alec dodged each one, his movements smooth and controlled. He smirked, moving in for a counterattack.

"I think you're forgetting who you're up against," he said, throwing a powerful punch.

Selena saw it coming a mile away, dodging to the side and landing a solid punch to Alec's jaw. He stumbled back but quickly regained his footing.

As the fight wore on, both of them began to tire. Sweat dripped down their faces, and their breaths came in ragged gasps. But neither one was willing to give up.

"Good job, Alec. Take a break," Rafael said, clapping his hands together. "Selena, stay for a moment."

Selena raised an eyebrow but complied, walking over to him with a relaxed gait that made Rafael even more suspicious. He had seen her fight with Alec, and he knew she was skilled, so why was she acting so coolly now?

"Is there a problem, Boss?" Selena asked, her eyes meeting him in a way that made his heart skip a beat. Something in her gaze told him she was more than just a fighter, something darker that he couldn't quite put his finger on.

Who trained you, little chaos maker?

He knew that he was walking a fine line with Selena and that one wrong move could mean disaster for both of them.

"I want to talk to you about your fighting style," Rafael said, his voice low and even. "You have a lot of potential, but I feel like you're holding back. Why is that?"

Selena's eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly composed herself. "I'm not holding back, Boss. I don't see the point in showing all cards at once."

Rafael tilted his head, studying her for a moment. "Interesting. And why is that little chaos maker?"

Selena shrugged. "It's just a strategy. If I show all my moves, my opponents can anticipate my next move. By holding back, I keep them guessing."

Her eyes narrowed at the man—he did not like speaking, so why was he asking her so many questions?

Weird ass.

No. Weird big ass.

Wait—he does have a nice ass.

Focus Selena.

Rafael nodded slowly, his mind working in overdrive. He had heard that before, but there was something about Selena's explanation that didn't sit right with him. Rafael could feel she was hiding something, and he was determined to find out what it was.

It was a game and one that he was determined to win.

Rafael Sullivan was a man of power—a man who was used to getting what he wanted. He was the leader, feared by everyone around him. But there was something about Selena that made him feel conflicted, something he couldn't quite understand.

His heart only beat and showed a reaction when he wished to kill someone. The euphoria of blood dripping down his enemies turned him excited, and he got the same feeling when he looked at her.

Do I want to kill her? He questioned his blood thirst.

Selena was getting trained under him to be his best fighter, but from the moment he had laid eyes on her, he knew that there was something about her that he didn't like.

It wasn't just her cocky attitude or the fact that she thought she was better than everyone else. It was something intrusive—something that Rafael couldn't quite put his finger on.

He tried to ignore his feelings, tried to push them down deep inside and focus on his training, but every time he saw her, his blood boiled. He wanted to hurt her—to make her pay for the way she made him feel.

He watched her as she trained, her movements fluid and graceful. She was a skilled fighter, but there was something more to her than just physical prowess. He saw something in her eyes, a spark of intelligence that he couldn't quite put his finger on.

Should I kill her, he pondered.

Rafael had always prided himself on his ability to read people and know their motivations and weaknesses. But with Selena, he felt lost. He didn't know what she was thinking, and that made him uneasy.

I can't read her, he admitted to himself.

There were times when he found himself admiring her, even not dislike her. But those feelings were quickly overshadowed by the anger and frustration that he felt towards her. He couldn't explain why he felt that way, but it was a constant source of tension between them.

He tried to keep his emotions in check and tried to focus on the training, but it was difficult. Every time he saw her, he felt a mix of conflicting emotions. He wanted to hurt her, to break her down and make her submit to him. But at the same time, he wanted her to become his best weapon.

It was a strange and unsettling feeling, one that he couldn't quite make sense of. He knew that he should be focused on his goals, on his mission to dominate the world. But Selena was a distraction, one that he couldn't ignore.

As he watched her move, he wondered what it would be like to have her as his own, to harness that fire and use it for his purposes. But he also knew that it was a dangerous game to play, one that could easily backfire on him.

What are you, little chaos maker?

"Clean the arena," he ordered. The area was over 60000 sq ft. He wanted her- Selena Knight, a weak little feeble girl who grew up like an untouched princess to clean it all and by herself.

Hell naw!

When his eyes turned serious, her eyes widened with shock and apprehension, realizing the sheer magnitude of the task.

She couldn't help but feel a twinge of anger toward the big bitch who seemed to be pushing her beyond her limits while taking pleasure in her misery. Despite her frustration, she forced a sweet smile and nodded obediently.

Rafael watched her closely—his heart racing with excitement and loathing. He knew he was being unreasonable, but he couldn't help the thrill he felt at the prospect of pushing Selena to her limits. He wanted to see varied emotions marring her face. It was fun.

"Get to work," he barked, his voice laced with impatience.

"Yes, Boss."
