"Sir!!! Please stay with us!" So... before we begin, hehe let me explain how this situation got to where it is currently at. Hi... uhhh.. my name is Shawn Miguero, I am currently 24 years old and at this moment I am in the hospital with what is probably the worst injuries I have ever had in my life. I was minding my manners and walking home on an easy saturday morning in my hometown of Pasadena, California. I had just woken up an hour before and dressed for a run. And I was walking back home and saw my girlfriend, Amanda, waving at me as she went to cross the street.

I had just gotten to the corner of the road when I heard a semi's horn and its tires squealing as it tried not to hit Amanda. "Get outta the way lady!"

the driver yelled. And to be honest, I dont what happened in the next few seconds, besides I was on the sidewalk one second and the next second my girlfriend is safe out of the way annnd... ahhh yes there it is, the sickening crunch of the semi hitting me just before it stops and I go flying away into the street.
