Chapter 27 - He Use Magic On Me

[Note: Raw!]

The teen-wolf lowered his head deeply and lifted Alice's lunch tray higher until it almost hit Alice's chin.

[ Haizz… My stomach is really hungry but why in such a hurry? ]

Alice held her hand. Alice knew that if she took this lunch tray now then this young man would immediately run away from her. "I need your help. So I wonder how I should address you properly."

"Oh, what do you need? I'll help as much as I can, Miss."

"Tell me first, what is your name? If you don't answer, please take the tray back to the kitchen." Alice seemed to be able to hold her stomach until the night. Not a big problem.

"But you have to accept this lunch..."

Otherwise, what should he report to Vincent? He had never heard of anyone rejecting the Alpha's kindness. Indeed, who has ever accepted and dared to refuse. There isn't any.

Alice didn't understand what kind of trouble this poor Teen-wolf had dared to say her name. This young man's hands even started to shake, what a pity.

"Huh, alright. You can tell me your name next time. I just wanted to know if Jacob's back?"

"I don't know about that. Mr. Jacob is rarely in the castle."

Well, she didn't even know that Jacob stopped into the castle and left after that.

"Is that so, can you help me please? Please check in the library or around here? If you find Jacob tell him I'm in my room, or me if you don't find him you can come back and tell me your name. How?"

Alice's negotiations were received lightning fast by the poor teen-wolf. He had no choice. Alice only received her lunch tray after she agreed. To be sure, he had wasted so much time that Vincent had to wait for him at the end of the corridor in Alice's room.

"Peter! What are you talking about?"

"Ah— beg your pardon, my lord."

Peter, the poor teen-wolf immediately fell to the floor when he saw Vincent. He was caught talking to Alice even though it was forbidden.

"Tell me, what did Alice tell you?"

"Miss Alice asked for my name. He asked me to find Mr. Jacob and come back to him to give me news."

Hearing Jacob's name being called made Vincent's eyebrows twitch. "Did he say anything else? Hm—like thank you—for me? You mentioned that the food was from me, right?"

"Yes, my lord?" Peter didn't remember Alice thanking him, much less to Vincent. How should he say it? Should she say nice things to please Vincent? "Miss Alice—"

"I know, the answer is written all over you."

[I feed him but he's looking for Jacob instead? ]

Vincent felt his chest, Alice, it was undeniable that this woman could make him hurt just because of a trivial matter. How could his heart be attached to a cruel girl like this?

Ah! Vincent's heart ache even more when he thought bad things about Alice. Maybe she shouldn't have had Peter deliver lunch, or she should have delivered the lunch herself so Alice wouldn't have dared ask questions about Jacob.

"Peter!"

"Yes, my lord." Peter didn't even dare to beg for forgiveness. Vincent would definitely punish him or worse, he would be kicked out of the castle.

"Get your provisions and go to the northern border post."

Peter knew this would happen. Even though he recently came to the castle. He had to resign himself to the task given by Vincent and continue to train himself independently.

"You can return to the castle next week."

"Can I go back?" Peter thought he had missed his chance for training.

"Of course. Don't you want to join us?"

Honestly Peter was a promising teen-wolf. Vincent had been observing his training all along and he was sure this young man could join the pack this year.

Peter just needs to train under the right guidance and then beat his rivals in the fall games. Vincent will gladly receive it in the pack.

No one else came into Alice's room until late in the evening. Peter didn't come back, he had already left with his supplies for the northern border post according to Vincent's orders.

It made Alice worry and wonder where the young man was. But there was no one she could ask. Alice had no choice so she decided to leave her room.

"Ah!" Alice was surprised when she opened the door.

Vincent was standing at Alice's door. This man was considering whether to barge in or not. He could feel Alice's nervousness all afternoon. For that Vincent restrained himself while designing the right conversation to comfort Alice's heart.

"Ahem, I thought you wouldn't come out of your room."

When was the last time Vincent felt this nervous?

"I just came to say: no one will deliver dinner for you."

"Oh? Thank you."

"Is that for the lunch Peter brought for you or for my attention tonight?"

[ What the hell is this weird guy! Why is the language so messed up? ]

Alice pondered for a moment to process Vincent's question. Should he close the door and forget about going out for dinner? While both hands are still gripping the door handle.

"So… Do I have to say thank you twice?"

[ Heh, what's so hard? If that's what he wants. ]

But that was clearly not what Vincent wanted from Alice. He was just subconsciously nagging at Alice's cold treatment of him. Vincent just wanted Alice to be happy so that the burden in her heart disappeared.

Ah, thinking of Alice as a burden made Vincent's heart throb again. He kept hurting himself for his bad thoughts about Alice. Vincent just found out that the bond created by imprinting can be… this great. Hehehe.

"I'll take it for both. Now, come on… I'll accompany you to the dining room."

Suddenly this...

Alice's grip on the door handle slipped when Vincent stretched out his hand and suddenly Alice's hand had landed on Vincent's hand. The touch of Vincent's lips against Alice's skin brought him to his senses.

[ Wonderful! Did he just use magic on me? ]

Alice was about to pull her hand back but Vincent gripped her hand tightly. Alice's realization made Vincet feel stabbed again.

[ Can't this woman accept something from me well? ]

"Lep—" Vincent pulled Alice's arm completely and placed her in his arms. Alice had no choice but to step forward and continue following Vincent.
