Binita stood in the playground alone, stranded by her friends. She was excited all day as she had planned to meet her friends after a long time. The last time she saw them was when she was in her PUC-2, on the last day of her final exam. She was a member of the college's most studious group, or as a gang, as she would describe it.
The gang consisted of five members, of whom Binita was the second-most-popular girl of the college. She was good in academics, topped in cultural programs and showed her brilliant talent in extracurricular activities. Apart from that, she was good-looking, and was on the top of the list of 'most beautiful girls' among boys. Looking at her appearance, most would judge her as a person who's very disciplined, punctual and meticulous.
But most considered Chaya as the most popular girl in the college. She was an all-rounder; In academics, sports, extracurricular activities, excellent leadership qualities, beautiful to look at and would make sure that she wore ironed clothes and smelled good. This was one of the reasons she became the head girl of the college for two consecutive years. At one time, Chaya and Binita behaved like sworn enemies, but as time passed, this hostility turned into friendship.
Binita wore a red colored T-SHIRT, upon which she wore a blue pull-over and a jeans pants. She was upset, yet baffled about her friends not showing up. "Am I pranked?" She questioned herself.
A few minutes later, she walked out of the ground and wandered around the colony, looking at the buildings and trees. Even though she had been tricked by her friends, she pretended like nothing had ever happened.
As she was walking through a particular lane, she found a house which was constructed in an old fashion. It had a garden in front of the house bordered by a strong cement, protecting the property. The house was very small; it had no floors above it.
Looking at the building, Binita assumed that it was probably owned by an old person. The building was newly constructed and was painted light green. It was rare to see a green colored building in the present era. The house had no name plate, which appeared to be either newly constructed or purchased recently. The house had a decent Terrace above it, a considerably large window, encompassed by grills. There were two windows facing Binita, one from a room window and the other from the hall. It was a Déjà vu as she saw the house; it reminded her of someone.
Binita, after a few minutes of staring at the house, decided to go inside and make things clear for herself. She opened the gate, which was quite small and seemed impractical, judging from its size, as it did not serve its purpose of protecting the property. The gate was freshly painted black, and was greased at the hinges. She stepped inside the property. Towards her left, there was a lawn which was elevated from the cemented concrete which she stood upon.
Binita progressed towards the house and looked for a bell. She couldn't find one, so she decided to knock on the door. But she was hesitant to do so, as she didn't know who would open the door and how she would introduce herself. After a long moment, she decided to knock on the door. Just as she was about to knock on the door, from the corner of her eye, she saw a dark figure, whose eyes were staring at her.
Binita reflexly turned toward her right to only find a pole, which was painted black." what's with this strange Color combination?" Asked Binita to herself. Without further delay, she knocked on the door and waited.
A few minutes later, she tried again and got no response. She decided to get out of that property, but soon abandoned her decision as she noticed that she was knocking on the back door of the house. "How absent-minded am I?" She questioned herself and searched for the main door. She found a red colored door, which had a design similar to a Swastika. Looking at all this, Binita had a goofy feeling about the owners. She progressed towards the door and knocked. The door opened as soon as she knocked on the door, as if she knocked on an unlocked door. She pushed open the door and glanced at the unfinished work of the interior. "Hello! Is anyone there?" Said Binita loudly. She felt it was wrong to enter into a stranger's house without permission, but some force compelled her to do so.
She entered the hall through a mini-passage, which on the left side had a shoe rack which was yet to be built. Besides the rack there were long logs of polished wood which were supposed to be filled in the rack. Binita progressed to the hall, which was considerably large.
Opposite to the main entrance of the house, which was probably meant for a television, there were an old photographs hooked to the wall. "Why did they hook a photo in a house that hasn't been built yet?" Said Binita loudly. She curiously went near the photo to have a good look at it. It was a photo of an old man playing an original grand piano, which looked very expensive. The old man was wearing a sweater which had strips of red color with lite brown Color as background. He was looking down on the keys of the piano. It was probably taken while he was playing piano. Binita realized she had been in that property for over an hour. Even though she knew what she did was a breach of law, but curiosity got the better of her. But what followed was the most horrific experience she had
