Ash made their way to Quadrion Ruins which are 5 kilometers away. They took a carriage which was going to Magus Barony. It took sometime as it was not a motor cycle or a car.
They reached the place and paid to the carriage driver for the trip. BOTH Ash and Raven walked silently beside each other and reached the entrance to the Ruins.
The Quadrion Ruins are like a labyrinth with 7 floors. Many adventurers and explorers were able to go up to 4th floor, but beyond that every adventurer who entered died.
Before coming to the ruins, Ash went to the map maker and asked for the maps up to 4th floor and paid 20000 gold for it.
He also got information from the mapmaker about the type of monsters in those ruins. There are all type of dark creatures lurking in those ruins.
According to the information he got the first floor is filled with Imps of all elements. They were not that much of an issue. The second floor is filled with Skeletons. The third floor is filled with Banshees and the fourth floor is filled with Dark Bulls.
From 5th floor it is a mystery. There were only legends about what exists in those floors. Ash studied about those legends 4 years back.
"Now, let us go" said Raven with determination. Ash understood that the request they got is limited to 4 floors, but he felt a bad feeling about this.
Even though he felt ominous, he did not fear because he has been facing dangers all along.
"Right" replied Ash grinning at the entrance. They both went inside.
"Aqua Lion Mercenary group"
This mercenary group is based in Orlando Duchy. They got a contract from Demon Hawk Conglomerate to kill people who enter Quadrion Ruins and sell the items on the people to the Conglomerate.
There are 5 members in the group. The leaders name is Ivan Park who is man with a greatsword and huge muscles. The other members are Vetrax who is an archer, T-Bone who is a dual longsword wielder, Pamela, a girl who is a mage, Callie who is a girl fighting with Halberd.
Presently they are keeping an eye on the ruins.
Aqua Lion Mercenary group POV
"Looks like two of the adventurers have greedily made their move to steal the ruins." said Ivan with a cruel smile.
"Yes, that means more money for us." said T-Bone polishing his sword.
"Another easy target. It is getting boring" said Callie with a dim tone.
"Hey, do not fret this is the last day of our contract. After finishing this contract we are done and we are going to move to Randell Earl's territory. There are lots of commissions over there due to sudden monster outbreaks" said Vetrax punching his right fist to left hand.
"Yeah, I do not want to be in this wretched Duchy anymore" Callie said adjusting her gloves.
"You are not the only ones. Now let us enter the ruins. Remember, do not engage them until we reach 4th floor" commanded Ivan.
The other 4 nodded.
Ash's POV
I was able to sense hostility at the entrance due to enhanced enemy detection. I saw five people gazing at us from a distance.
They must be a rogue mercenary group who attacks and kills adventurers to plunder them.
Ash knew such type of people existed in this world, but the disgust and anger inside him wouldn't subside.
He decided to make an example out of them to not mess with them.
Ash and Raven entered the first floor and immediately they were attacked by Fire Imps. Ash looked at the status window.

The daggers kept on piercing relentlessly and all the Fire Imps near the range are killed.
"Great magic skill" praised Raven. "Next time, I will show what my magical powers" said Raven.
"Suit yourself" said Raven.
The interiors are made up of stones and there are lot of carvings indicating a story. Ash kept an eye on the carvings and asked System to record it.
They reached the middle of first floor and there was an attack from Water and Wind Imps.
Raven used Water Chakras and Ice blades to cut all of them down within 3 minutes.
They kept killing the Imps all along and reached the room which leads to 2nd floor. It is being guard by a powerful Electric Imp.
Ash used the Energy barrier on himself and Raven. Electric Imp looked at them and released huge bolts of energy. The damage was cancelled by energy barriers.
Ash used the Earth blades again and kept using it until it's HP reached zero. He did not feel weak because he doesn't depend on Mana. Raven felt a bit tired because of losing mana.
In this aspect, Ash had an advantage because a magic array in his body keeps gathering energy and supplying it to the star.
Now Ash is a walking powerhouse. They both entered the second floor and Ash could sense the mercenary group a few feet away. Even Raven felt the presence of someone.
They decided to ignore them and entered the second floor. The first floor was too easy for Ash and Raven. The second floor is filled with all types of skeletons. Ash wanted to test his prowess against these skeletons and gain experience. The Imps only gave 2 exp each. He only got 1000 exp from all the Imps. The skeletons might provide high exp for him.
