Chereads / My Class is Puppeteer / Chapter 32 - Arrival

Chapter 32 - Arrival

With only a few hours left in his stay at the new world. The Virtuoso held a conference in front of the city he defended during the war.

Rokhan and Malik, his two most trusted soldiers stood with him as he made his final speech.

"As has been revealed just a few hours ago, I come from another world.

I was sent to this world a year ago, to learn of the ways of my profession.

If I had a choice then I would undoubtedly stay. I'd like to thank all of the soldiers who fought by my side. We have done it, we have defended this city and soon the heroes will take down the demon king.

I'd like to congratulate everyone for this achievement.

A year ago my world fell to these demons, and in just a few more minutes I will be returning.

With that being said, the Goddess has given me a reward.

I may bring as many people as I can on this portal." He clicked on the blue reward icon on his screen and a blue portal appeared to his right.

"You have lives here, a bright future. Which is why I'm not trying to force anyone to join me.

But for those who would like to join me, then you are always welcome by my side.

To this I say to you, Thank you for everything everyone."

A few hours prior he discussed everything with his original party. Out of the 12 of them, Malik and Rokhan were the only ones guaranteed to follow in the Virtuoso's new journey.

The three figures entered the portal. Behind them a group numbering around 500 followed.

This marked the end of the Virtuoso's journey in the new world. A world that would soon be saved from the threat of demons.

From a saved world to one that's in distraught a familiar message dawned upon everyone who followed.

[Welcome back and for those that have chosen to come here out of their own volition, Welcome to earth.

Out of the 8 Billion humans that left only a few of which have grown to a point where they can live in this harsh landscape.

Which is why the visitors will all be given an option. To turn back now and never look back.

Would you like to stay?

(YES) (NO) ]

The soldiers that followed Matthew have already chosen their fate.

This is it, the real start of his journey. Back to the world that he originally came from.

They arrived at a patch of grass, at an old park in an abandoned city. Teeming with demonic creatures.

Malik, the now B-Class sorcerer, immediately erected a barrier.

"Spellcasting units, follow Malik's lead. Create barriers. Rokhan lead the infantry. Clear the dome of demons."

The soldiers all worked to serve his orders. His authority is unquestionable.

"Malik, after you finish that circle I want you to look at these blueprints with me."

Originally the blueprints were of a smaller scale fort. But with their numbers and access to an army of 500 soldiers the floor plan he created had to be scaled up a bit.

The spellcasting squadrons were all given the task of keeping the barriers up.

"I see, so assuming that you'd be alone the original base is only three floors high."

"Indeed, it would have taken half a day to build but with 500 soldiers we're going to need something bigger"

"Yes, I do believe we have a few mages that specialize in earth magic."

"Then a stone castle is possible, the rubble from those abandoned buildings can be recycled."

The two of them discussed the situation, each assigning tasks to the soldiers living in the dome.

"Nathaniel Gomez, Reporting for duty sir!"

Nathaniel, the former Alpha squad captain now turned Lieutenant. A soldier brought in to the war by the original party.

"At ease, as you have seen, we are in need of a few materials to get started with our building process. As one of my most trusted Lieutenants I have decided to allot you with the task of filling inventories full of stone. Bring your whole army, best of luck."

Comparatively speaking the number of soldiers set up for a Sergeant in the war should be about 20, for a Lieutenant like Nathaniel as a C- Class he holds power over 100 soldiers.

[A/N: Sergeant - 20, Lieutenant - 100. The position of Sergeant First Class that Matthew had before is a provisional title bestowed by the old General. The rank of Lieutenant can be said to be an equal version of it. ]

He gained this rank through his great leadership, his swordsmanship improved in the frontlines his growth as a swordsman can be accredited to his tenacity and motivations. But at the end of the day he is barely strong enough to be considered C - Class.

He is one of the 2 Lieutenants currently working under Rokhan. His group is relatively well-known in the city that they protected given the nickname "The Virtuoso's Rooks". In the war, due to the Virtuoso's usage of Geppeto's chess set, the theme that people ran with is by giving certain legions of his nicknames relating to chess pieces.

"Lieutenant Danica, Take charge of looking for survivors. Offer salvation only for those that seek to serve our cause. But this will only be a secondary goal. Your main mission is to familiarize yourself with the landscape, head north. North of the city is where the ports are located. It takes about 2 hours of travel on foot but with the monsters around I only need a general report. Are you up to the task?"

"Of course sir!"

Danica is the leader of the former Beta squad now known as Bravo. Nathaniel leads an infantry unit while she herself leads a mixed group known in her old world as a Spellblade troupe.

She has 30 Spell casters and 70 Melee combatants.

She is one of the 2 lieutenants serving directly under Malik.

Rokhan cleared the area of stray monsters, while Malik and the rest of the spellcasting division were tasked with creating a base.

The plan has been put into action.
