I suddenly had a throbbing pain in my neck and shoulders when the cold breeze welcomes me.
"My lady...is your coat enough? Are you feeling cold?"
I slightly raised my eyes, only to met with Baley's concern gaze.
"I'm fine, stop worrying will you?"
"Ahm..well, .." He started scratching his cheeks when we heard a kid scream.
We both look at Shana's direction. "What's going on there?" It was Baley who asked.
But looking at how baby Shana's body wiggling from Chess's it's obvious that the kid doen't like to be carried by him.
"I want Mama!" Shana screamed.
"What's the matter here?" I asked them as soon as I approached.
Baley, who's standing behind me looked at kid Sahana.
"Is there something wrong baby Shana?"
I raised my arms and take baby Shana from Chess's.
"Hng..." He whimper and rested his face to my shoulders.
"Will you be fine my lady?" It was Baley's worried voice, instead of answering him, I continued walking, following the steps of Arcon.
Shana's not that heavy yet, not that light to carry while walking, and I haven't done this before. Carrying a child in my arms while walking.
I didn't even get a chance to check Flora if she can keep up with our steps. My sole focus suddenly went on Baley's steps. The way he walks is quite weird.
I mean, he looks like he is being careful about something. Turning his sight from left to right. Worried?
"Is everything alright with you Baley?" I can't stop myself from asking him.
With that question, the three of them stops walking and look at me.
"Master said, he'll be around here." Baley.
"Then?" I followed a question.
Looking around, there's nothing but the grassed area along side with these trees. I can't even sight a single house nearby.
I slightly patted Shana's back hearing his small snores.
'Cute..'
I look around one more time and to get a sight from Chess who stops walking Flora was behind him.
"Hmm.." I heard Shana grumble softly.
"Master's coming this way.." Arcon said in a gentle voice.
We all stops from walking. Flora even laid a cloth for me to sit.
"This way my lady." Flora.
I slowly sit on it while carrying Shana. I didn't know this is how it feel to have a carrying child. It didn't even cross my mind that I will be taking care one like this.
Well, this maybe a good thing for me too. Shana's well-behaved compare to his age. Maybe because he is originally an adult.
"My lady, should I give you something to drink?"
I look at Flora. "Sit down Flora.."
"You have to rest too Flora." Arcon said while walking his way to us. "The master will take a few more minutes before coming here."
"Where will he be coming from? Should we really wait for him though?" I am getting curious now.
I don't know how long we have been walking, and for now to wait for Eilif. Tsk.
Flora look at me with her gentle smile. "The master will be here in any minute now my lady. You must be tired, let me carry the young lord."
I brushed Shana's hair before finally letting Flora take him from me. While being seated on the ground, with the cloth Flora handed me, I slowly roam my eyes around the area.
Back in my world, I never had time to admire these trees, nor the flowers around. All I could think was to finish another story to publish.
Well, if I don't write, I won't be having meals. I wonder what's Shane's doing by now.
"My lady.."
I stop thinking about my Shane when I heard the three called for me. I stumble on my feet when I tried to stand.
"This is weird." I mumble to myself.
Feeling the sudden urge of the wind around us. It even made me hold my own hair. Flora, who's carrying baby Shana, approached me with a worried look.
"What' going---" I can't finish my question when I felt a random pressure pressing my consciousness.
T-this pressure is...
"My lady! Hang in there!" I heard Baley's voice over my shoulders.
As I try my best to stand on my own, anothe killer pain hit my head! Was this because of the sudden pressure I am feeling?
My legs are trembling, with my breath unable to be even.
"W-what'..."
My head started spinning, the dizziness makes me want to vomit. I really hate what kind of pain I am feeling now. And I can't collapse again in this situation!
I try calming my dizziness, but it didn't work. I try sighing to make my breath even.
"You really are weak in this situation."
As I try to look up to see his face, my visions became blurr.
"Get some rest for now, I will wake you up once we reach our destination." He added before I lost from this dizziness.
***
The sounds of those crickets was the first I heard. I slowly pull myself up and sit on this bed. Back then, before losing my consciousness I heard Eiliff's voice.
Now that I am awake, I think, have we reached our destination?
"You are finally awake."
My eyes met with his glaring red eyes. I tried searching for a word to say, but my throat kept me from talking.
"You have been asleep the whole day, well, it was expected since that damn dragon release a huge amount of mana there." He continued.
It's a freaking dragon now!
Hearing him said that wants me to go back sleeping.
"W-what then?" Words came out, finally.
"You'll meet that damn dragon tomorrow." He said without even looking at me.
Standing by the window, the moon's light perfectly illuminates his beauty. What a very fine man.
"Get more rest." He finally utter those words after staring at the window.
His slow paces, yet no freaking sound, reach the door.
"Don't get surprise, Sahana's back.."
"O-okay. goodnight." I mumble through my breath and laid back.
A magicians, a magician's tower. And now a dragon.
What's next?
I just don't understand a single thing here. A different world from where I came from. Magic exists here, so does magic. Curses are even real.
"I am an immortal longing for death, will you be able to help me rest in peace?"
"What was that even about..."
